'I loved the poolside cottage with full kitchen. Beach and water fantastic. Restaurant dinners were too crowded and too expensive, but the lunches can be taken at the beech under comfortable umbrellas. Breakfasts great. there was construction noise during the week, and the air conditioners were too loud, but I tuned it all out for the overall great experience.'

'Very clean grounds, very clean suite (thank you, Katia!). Staff are lovely. Lots of repeat guests. Very quiet rooms. To be honest when we first got there we were not sure it was for us, it’s a little older and the restaurant food isn’t special. But the place grows on you and is very quaint. If they could level-up the food, we’d return in a second. I also loved the yoga class by Lizzie on Tuesday morning. So nice. May be back next year. '

'Just a 1-minute walk from the beautiful beach! This hotel made our stay so easy and relaxing. Plenty of free parking right at the hotel, clean and comfortable rooms equipped with all the home-like amenities we needed. We especially loved that fresh beach towels were always available by the pool — such a thoughtful touch that made beach days effortless. 'Turks and Caicos is an expensive island so there was good value in staying at The Sands. They are within walking distance to a small downtown area and to their sister hotel, The Palms. Food at Hemingway’s was good and the restaurant is conveniently located close to the pool and beach, however they have a tiny bar area and infrequent service to the beach area. There would be better use of space if they had a bar area on the deck closer to the beach. We had some issues with our lights not shutting...

'Tne environment was extremely quiet, except for a few barking dogs, who were silent at night. The drawback of this tranquility is of course that there is nothing in the neighbourhood. 'Self free parking is available at the property. The staff is not friendly at all. We had no room service for 5 days at all. We didn't need anything so it was ok for us, but if you are a family with kids and need anything its hard, the staff is not friendly at all. The property is good, well maintained and was clean as well. '

'The unit was clean and well equipped. It does need to have blackout curtains. The sun rises early and you will be woke up early, early first thing in the morning. When staying here you will need to have a rental car- but driving almost anywhere on the island only takes 30 minutes.'
