'It’s a perfect escape for a couple, a beautiful setting and very intimate. A couple of things that are good to know: the bathroom doors are louvered, so if you are not already on comfortable bathroom habit status with your person, this might change that! As other reviews have noted, the bed is fairly hard. Two nights would be my maximum. And if you are at all pillow picky and are wondering if you should bring your own, you should. It was a beautiful peaceful place and we had a wonderful time....

'Excellent communication, helpful tips, air conditioning was a life saver for the heat. Patio and deck were lovely to spend time amongst the trees. I partticularly enjoyed the old school microwave and hood, and found the kicthen to be very capable. The baby travel crib was super helpful as well for our 9 month old.'

'We quite enjoyed our time at the Wood Chalet and its location nestled in the Redwoods. From the quite well appointed and provisioned kitchen, to the comfortable beds everything was as described. A short walk to the Russian River and a less than ten minute drive to Guerneville, this was a great jumping off point for our time in Sonoma. When on of my young nieces left her diary tucked under the pillow when we left, the owner personally drove over to the property and helped send it out to be...

'We had a wonderful Christmas week here. Very convenient location Comfortable for 6 adults. Cooked most of our meals here and had plenty of supplies. It rained while we were here so we did not get to enjoy the decks and outdoor area but it would be so fun when the weather cooperated. Redwoods are amazing!'

'Fabulous location and well maintained, clean and well stocked.The only downside for us was the traffic noise from the road. But other than that we loved the easy access to the river and the kayaks and pool table!'
