You’ll be staying in the historic Stengel House, located right next to the castle with a stunning view of the castle gardens. The house was originally built in the 18th century, renovated in the 1980s, and is part of the Stengel complex surrounding the Saarbrücken Castle. The original roof beams are exposed and, together with the open-concept layout spanning two floors, give the apartment a special charm. From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view directly into the palace gardens. The 77-square-meter maisonette-style apartment with an open loft has been lovingly decorated, is newly furnished, features a new bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, high-speed Wi-Fi, and—very importantly—a parking space.
It is located in a very central yet quiet area. From here, you can reach the Ludwigskirche, the castle, the State Theater, and the Old Town—with the St. Johanner Markt and its many restaurants (for which the city is famous)—all within a few minutes’ walk. By bus, you can reach the main train station in 10 minutes; the bus stop is right outside the door.

The apartment is very well-equipped; heating, bed linens, and towels are included. The living/dining area, featuring an open loft and a desk workspace, spans two floors and offers a view of the original 18th-century roof beams. The windows provide a fantastic view of the Palace Gardens and all the way to the State Theater on the other side of the Saar River.
The kitchen features a stove with a ceramic cooktop, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a dishwasher. A microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, and electric kettle are also provided, along with numerous kitchen utensils, spices, and more.
The bathroom has been completely renovated and features a floor-to-ceiling walk-in shower and new fixtures.

The open loft area offers not only a cozy armchair for reading but also a desk workspace, making it perfect for a home office.

A major plus is the very central yet quiet location: you can reach the St. Johanner Market and downtown on foot in just under 10 minutes. You won’t need your car, and it will be safely parked in the private parking lot at the back of the building.
