Bonjour Sophie - Merci beaucoup pour votre avis. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour à la Maison Rossignol et la piscine et l'utilisation des vélos en particulier. J'étais inquiet d'entendre que vous pensiez que les sols et les surfaces de la cuisine n'étaient pas propres à votre arrivée et j'ai vérifié cela avec le nettoyeur, qui est généralement excellent et c'est la première fois que nous avons ce retour. Elle avait nettoyé en profondeur toutes les surfaces et tous les sols à l'aide d'eau de Javel et d'un chiffon désinfectant avant de terminer. Nous avons convenu de remplacer la tête de balai car elle était peut-être fatiguée. Comme la maison est au bout d'un chemin rural, le wifi ne peut pas être aussi rapide que dans une ville. Les murs de pierre peuvent affaiblir le signal vers la chambre principale et cela dépend du nombre d'invités qui l'utilisent en même temps. Je vais voir si je peux obtenir quelque chose pour amplifier le signal jusqu'ici. En raison de la loi, la couverture piscine doit être du type le plus sûr et le plus lourd car il n'y a pas de clôture (cela gâcherait la vue) ni d'alarme (pour troubler la paix). Elle peut être actionnée par une seule personne mais je suis d'accord que ce n'est pas la même chose qu'une couverture d'été. Cordialement David

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Maison Rossignol. We have worked hard to make sure the property is cleaned as per the French Government protocol for holiday lettings. The pool cover is designed to be both a cover and a security device so it is heavier than some of the summer covers. This ensures that if someone were to fall in when the cover is on, then it can take a person's weight. We are looking at a way to make the winding of the cover easier later this year. Hi Karen. We are so pleased that you had a great stay and that you enjoyed the peace and quiet (and the pears!) I was sorry to hear that some items didn't work for you. When we looked at it, the water had been turned off to the dishwasher and the wires for the satellite had been rearranged by a former visitor perhaps. We have fixed this and have also bought a new DVD player to use in addition to the Xbox which has also been updated. Many thanks for your feedback Norman. Firstly, I wanted to say how pleased we were that you enjoyed your holiday. I was very surprised to hear that the house was damp in parts in August. We will spend some time and money investigating the possible source over the winter. I am sorry that the mosquito nets had come away from their pins, which normally just need to be re-pinned to be functional. The bathroom is not as modern as the recent refit in other areas, as you rightly identify. You are the first guests to comment on this. We are updating it with a new walk in shower, tiling, toilet and sink, as well as redecorated throughout to bring it up to the same level as the rest of the house. Nous sommes de nouveau désolés pour les problèmes électriques que vous avez eus à la maison. Nous avons maintenant replacé le câblage dans la boîte à fusibles afin que celle-ci ait une plus grande capacité pour répondre aux exigences de tous les convecteurs à la fois à pleine chaleur. Ce problème ne devrait pas se reproduire maintenant. Comme c'était un vendredi soir aux vacances de Noël, il n'était pas possible d'essayer de réparer les fusibles avant le lendemain matin. Lorsque le problème s'est reproduit, nous avons convenu de rembourser la totalité du montant, qui a été versé dès que nous avons reçu l'argent de Homeaway. We have now replaced the wiring into the fuse box so that it has a greater capacity for the demands of all of the convector heaters at once at full heat. This problem should not reoccur now. As it was a Friday evening in the Christmas Holiday it was not possible to try to fix the fuses until the following morning. When the problem re-occurred, we agreed quickly to cancel the booking and to reimburse the whole amount, which was paid as soon as we received the money from Homeaway. The house was cleaned and prepared for you the day before arrival (with a welcome pack and a first supply of logs). In an old stone cottage in the countryside in winter, it is inevitable that there will be some loose stone grains in the corners of the rooms. There was one non-food store cupboard (not used by guests) that you looked in that was not clean - and we accept that this could have been better. We are glad that you were quickly able to find alternative accommodation to continue your holiday
