Magnífico establecimiento cerca de St-Émilion y de los viñedos. Ayse, la manager, nos recibió fantásticamente bien. Es muy profesional, atenta, cercana y siempre con una sonrisa. El edificio, los jardines y el entorno son muy bonitos.. Es un lugar tranquilo con muy bonitas vistas al río Dordogne. La habitación muy cómoda. The chateau was beautiful, the grounds charming, the pool clean and inviting. The treehouse was romantic and unique. Service and staff excellent.

Not a great stay
I booked the suite for 1 night as it had what looked like a private garden area for my wife and I to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The seats and general feel to the garden/patio area was dank and grubby. The seat cushions were wet which was surprising as it had been in the high 29s all day. On arrival I could not find a dedicated reception area so had to call them on the telephone. The Hotels.com booking page said that checkin was from 4pm and we arrived around 6:30pm. It did not say on Hotels.com site that there wasn’t anybody from the hotel onsite after 8pm. We found this out as we were shown to our room. Once in our room, we were asked if we wanted breakfast which we asked if we could let them know once we had settled in. This is when we found out that she was leaving shortly. The host was fine but we were asked to leave the kitchen as we had found it and put our rubbish in the bins somewhere near the chateau. I have never been asked to contribute to the housekeeping on a hotels.com or any other booking site before. We complied with the request but couldn’t find the external bins in the morning so ended up driving round with our rubbish in the car until we found a public bin. All in all, we probably wouldn’t return. The list of 10/10 reviews prompted me to leave a not so perfect account as I believe them to be misleading and built my expectations to high for the delivery of the experience.

Dear guest,Thank you for your stay and your review.I'm sorry to read that your stay remain under your expectation.First of all I would like to give you an important precision that we aren't a hotel. I think this was the 1st point of your expectation. We are a guesthouse only. We don't have any reception, any room services, any night services as every guesthouses (Maison d'hotes). I'm sorry that it was a bit confusing for you and that your expectation was to stay in a hotel and not a guesthouse. I understand also that the weather also wasn't convenient during your stay (unfortunately between 2 rains it happens that the cushions stay wet we are sorry for that, the normal chairs only were completely dry this day). You didn't come for checkout next morning as well so I didn't have any feedback from you. For the bins they were behind the house next the car parking as I indicated on check in (we have 6 big containers) and all our cottages uses the same ones, I would be able to indicate them to you again if you asked me in the morning instead of putting them in your car. I wish you to enjoy the rest of your vacation in France!Best,

Vackert beläget alldeles vid Dordogne. Vi fick ett rymligt och välutrustat hotellrum i huvudbyggnaden som renoverats väl i gammal stil men med modern inredning. Lugnt beläget och en fantastisk uteplats ut mot trädgården. Mycket trevligt och hjälpsam personal! Synd att de inte serverar några måltider men bra restaurangalternativ finns på kortare bilavstånd (ett par på promenadavstånd 5 min). Rekommenderas varmt!

Amazing hospitality at beautiful Château
During our stay at Château de Courtebotte, we opted for the Treehouse. The room had lovely views over the river and the gardens of the Château. The manager was outstanding and super accomodating. She offered us some fresh fruits from the gardens and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely stay.

Ayse is a very kind host. The Chateu has a very cozy living room and each room is a private house in an area surrounded by a lake. Very peaceful and quiet, great value for money.

We went for a wedding in another chateau nearby. The chateau is in a lovely place overlooking the Dordogne. It is a delightful place to stay. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was beautifully presented. I would stay again and look forward to it

We stayed in the tree house. Aishe is a wonderful host, so welcoming and gave us good advice for dinner. Packed pieces of cake for us when we left. The property is charming with a view on the Dordogne. Grounds are beautiful and maintained with love. Strongly recommended.

Nous avons choisi la cabane, c'est atypique mais très fonctionnel. Avec une terrasse en prime avec vue sur la Dordogne. Isabelle, toujours au petit soin dès le matin et de bons conseils. Proximité de Saint Emilion.

Treehouse and breakfast
Outrageously amazing breakfast and treehouse stay. Other rooms looked very nice also. We had wet weather but the pool looked extremely inviting. The ground were immaculately kept and great fun for kids. Just a beautiful place and only 10 mins from St Emilion if you fancy a stop there.

Amazing stay at Chateau Cortebotte.
Chateau Cortebotte was truly amazing. A very short drive to the historic wine city of Saint Emilion and many other chateau of the region. She does a Wednesday night dinner at the Chateau that we highly recommend as Isabelle is an amazing cook. We could have spent another week just hanging out and taking little adventures. Can't wait to return

Beautiful château and fantastic host
An ideal location for visiting Saint Emilion and the local vineyards. We had a very comfortable and quite room, and an amazing breakfast! The Chateau has been renovated to a wonderful standard, with beautiful decor. Isabelle, the host, went above and beyond with helping to book a fantastic restaurant for us, storing our bicycles overnight, and offering us a room over-looking the river (an upgrade on what we had originally booked). A little gift of home-cooked French cakes when we left was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be recommending Château de Courtebotte to friends and family.

Beautiful Chateau
Chateau is gorgeous and less than 10 minutes from St Emillion. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Lots of beautiful common rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. You really get pampered on your stay and get great recommendations on what to do and where to eat.

Spotless comfortable accommodation, superb breakfasts, quiet location and comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. The owner, Isabelle and her team do everything possible to make your stay as good as possible. I am a disabled wheelchair user and Isabelle ensured that our self catering accommodation was suitable for me. She offered to have had our breakfast brought over to us but we elected to take it in the beautiful old Chateau. We were there for 4 days and we will be going back for a longer stay.

The Chateau Courtabotte is the most amazing place that I have had the pleasure to visit. The rooms are extraordinary and the views of the Dordonge River is breathtaking. The hospitality of our hosts was very warm and friendly and attentive to meet our needs. The breakfast was exquisite with a beautiful spread including cooked eggs, a variety of fruits and juices, yogurt, croissants, cakes and homemade jams. I give the highest recommendation for you to stay at this lovely chateau and be sure to visit Bonhoste Winery.

Stayed at this property one night after a weekend in Bordeaux in mid January. It was fantastic! Isabelle, the owner, went above and beyond in her service, arranging a tour and wine tasting on our behalf and making reservations at a great local restaurant . Her breakfast service was also fresh, simple and delicious. The chateau has been beautifully restored and maintained. The guest room where we stayed had a 5 star quality to it with great amenities. Our only regret was that we were there in January and not in late spring or summer to be able to truly enjoy everything this hotel had to offer. The setting is beautifully peaceful and a great base from which to tour the local wine region. This is an outstanding place to stay and recommend it highly.

Absolutely outstanding place. Isabelle is a magnificent host and could not assist us enough. Fantastic location, great facilities and Isabelle assists with recommendations about the local area. One of the best places I have stayed in a long time

Tout est parfait: l'accueil , la décoration, le cadre et les équipements de loisirs. Le petit déjeuner est vrai moment de régal.
