It was easy to check in, but the little locked boxes for the keys didn't feel very secure, the stairs felt a bit like a hazard especially for a person on crutches. The room had a number of strange stains and marks on the walls and especially on the bathroom door. When we checked in, the window had been left open, so it was freezing inside and the blanket was barely big enough for the size of the bed (2 people). The heat didn't seem to work very well if at all, and the room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke.

It was a bit dirty, but it felt homely. I couldn’t make a hot drink and being by the front door was noisy, but overall I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely come back.

Cleanliness a real problem, found a bra, crisp packets, and other debris under and around the bed plus pic online showed a much bigger room than we got, room in need of a deep clean ASAP, bed was comfy but wouldn't recommend until the cleanliness is sorted

Review
The room was good and bathroom was easy to access. Stated netflix was available on tv- wouldn’t work in our room and most channels didn’t have signal to work. Radiator was on too hot and no way of turning it off/down- fire hazzard! Especially as it was right by the bed. However room was nice, slept well and price was good for area and easy located area and to get around.

Damp, disgusting and dirty.
The room had a disgusting smell that would not got away no matter how much air freshener we sprayed which we soon found out was due to the damp that was all over the room. Could not find one member of staff to report this too and the damp made me and my partner both feel uncomfortable, uneasy and unwell.

Average room, no shower
Accommodation was just about okay for crashing for a night for an event, amenities weren't great for the room (stuff was left for making a coffee, but in a dirty cup and no milk), shower in Room 4 didn't work at all, no way to get it to turn on or any running water, had to leave unwashed in the morning.

you did not pull the cord. We gave you instructions how to turn the shower on. Its electric shower.

Usual hotel fully booked so tried here - Check in all good , Room however was old, damp and smelt strange - (window was left open ahead of stay so must be a known problem). Room wasnt very clean and could not relax in there due to feeling dirty. Hotel very noisy at night, walls very thin and rooms above have very creaky floors - very tired leaving

Not great condition, but it served a purpose.
Relatively convenient for a stay for a gig at the AO Arena in Manchester. It was about 25-30 minutes walking in to the arena, though the area we walked through seemed a bit run down. The room was small, with the space well used, but having the double bed against the wall was quite inconvenient. The ensuite was ok, but the electric showee seemedto have the habit of suddenly going cold. The whole room seemed a bit musty and could definitely have been more comfortable and cared for. The main benefit of this stay was being able to walk to the gig.

The amazingly abysmal experience of us
Amazingly bad. I just cannot believe it. The shower was soo weak that we literally could not take a shower. The room was so small that we could not walk in it. The electric kettle did not work. There was ao much noise pollution we couldn’t sleep at all. Every time any body went out to smoke a sigar we woke up. By the way, it had lots of spiders in the room. I have pictures of them. The last one I saw was more like a tarantula than a spider. I’d rather sleep in the dungeons of Mordor than Albert view.

I managed to get 1 of the 3 available parking spaces, which was good. My room was on the ground floor which was more than ideal as I do have some mobility issues, which, I'd forgot to mention when booking the hotel. Room was clean, bed was ok, although I actually took a "summer sleeping bag" which I laid down on top of the bed, it was so warm Friday night, even with the window open, that I slept in just a pair of shorts. Bathroom facilities were ok. I'd taken my own coffee machine, so didn't need the hotels coffee. The only "complaint" I'd make is one of safety, there needs to be a handrail fitted alongside the 4/5 steps up to the front door, they are a little steep. Daryll Jarvis

Just ok to stay 1 or 2 nights
Pros: For the price paid, the location is reachable and space to park a small car, my bedroom is room 13 which is basically a loft room with its own shower/toilet - a good to have. Room was facing inward and no big noise but the room has bad sound proof and you can hear the movement around. Bed is comfortable and clean, TV is good and big (Sony). Cons: First bad thing is the key box at the entrance is a bit struck, spent more than 5 minutes to open it and lots of frustration thus caused as this residence is unmanned and there is no way you can ask for help - luckily it has finally opened. Secondly, a big step down (over 15cm) into the bathroom may lead to an incident especially when you are sleepy. Thirdly, this room may be very hot (in summer) or very cold (in winter) as located at the loft (maybe, as I didn't encounter heat wave when I stayed there). Finally, the water pressure is weak and the electric shower can't provide hot or warm water at all (only cold water regardless of the setting) - hence I will say it is ok to stay for 1 or 2 nights if you can skip taking shower.

Great!
On main road. So very noisy all night. Thin walls, noise thtoigh the door too.Check in easy, room claustrophobic ally small, cheeys unironed, but at leadt it is an indication of them being washed. Only point of praise- very comfortable bed,bedt ive ever experienced in hotels.

Location wise is Albert View's main advantage. My room (1) was by the front door which meant I was disturbed (woken up) every time someone came in/out; my whole door shook and banged each time. In addition the blinds do not prevent the room lighting up every time a car passed. Also the shower was awful. The max water pressure was very low and (if used) the temperature fluctuated from freezing to scalding as the boiler went off/on randomly. On the minimum setting the temp was more stable but the water was a trickle. Finally; the toilet did not flush.
