This peaceful 2 bedroom house that sleeps 4 is located on 5 acres of lakefront property. It’s beautiful antique decor along with breath taking views of cypress trees and spanish moss sets this place apart from any other. This place offers an ideal vacation spot year-round. Located on the property is a private boat launch to Black Lake for access to great fishing. Provided for your relaxation is a wood fire pit and charcoal grill over looking the lake, ideal for grilling and lounging. Or don’t cook and enjoy the renowned restaurant, Lakewood Inn, located just 0.3 miles from the house. Located on the property for your outside enjoyment is a private basketball court, horse shoes, and lake access for lake fishing. A stay with us is a chance to unwind, relax, explore, and enjoy the history Natchitoches has to offer. So come and create memories that will last for ever.

We had a beautiful time here with our parents during our Holiday time off. The house was sweet and cozy, love the attention to detail with the decor. It was very homey. It was so quiet and peaceful, nice place to relax and restore.

Natchitoches Surprise

The town is adorable, many restaurants, shops, and things to do. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Next time we will stay in town, but this property was nice and we felt right at home.

A Great Spot on the Lake

While the reason for our visit was not the happiest--a funeral--it was wonderful to be able to stay right on the lake where we had built such great memories over the past 45 years or so. The place was in excellent shape, well maintained, and had a great view of the lake.

Quite, peaceful retreat

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The view of the lake was incredible. It was a good 20 minutes into Natchitoches but the drive was through the country so the scenery was great.The is very comfortable. The bed was great. Live all the ceiling fans!We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay on beautiful property

This was one of my favorite stays in Louisiana - the house was so roomy and comfortable. Had everything and was decorated so beautifully for the Christmas holidays! The property was just lovely with a gorgeous view of the Cypress trees in the lake out back. Can't wait to come back!

The space was amazing—clean, quiet and peaceful. Tucked away from the main road, but not too far. A few miles from Natchitoches, but not a straight shot. Definitely would make a day trip there as opposed to a night trip. Great communication from host! If you want to “unplug” and enjoy peace and quiet, this is the place.

Three Grandmothers Getaway Wkend

A lovely place, nestled under beautiful spanish moss filled trees. Very peaceful and quiet. It is a good 20 minute drive from town and hidden back off the main road. I’m glad we arrived before dark so we could familiarize ourselves with our surroundings. The Lakeview Inn restaurant was a good place to eat and conveniently located less than a 1/4 mile from the house. The host was very responsive.

Peaceful house on Black Lake

The house was very comfortable and well decorated. It had everything we needed. Eric even supplied a new blender when we said we needed one. The view was wonderful. I understood there was a king size bed in the master bedroom. It seemed to be a queen. The page on the VRBO was no longer available to verify the bed size. Overall it was a very nice and peaceful property. It was farther away from Natchitoches than expected and was a very hard drive into the city over old roads.

Beautiful county setting But

The house is clean and has most things needed for a comfortable stay. Except for ice and large coffee mugs. But it feels like the owner still lives there. Personal pictures everywhere, clothes in the closets, food in the frig and freezer. And prescription meds in the kitchen cabinets. The house is located in a very remote area and was probably not the best location for 2 70 + single ladies. And there is no WIFI, and cell service was very limited.
