This was a great apartment. The pastries and snacks provided were a pleasant surprise. The chocolates left on the pillow made me feel like I was at a 5 star hotel. Susan even helped me carry some of my stuff to the room. I was there on a work trip and wish I had more time to explore the area. I’m glad o got to see the amazing views from the apartment.

We've been to beautiful Salmon Idaho for hockey tournaments before, but this time was the best lodging we have had here. Beautiful apartment. Amazing views in every direction. Easy and fast to get downtown and the hockey rink. We highly recommend this Hilltop rental.

We really enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked apartment above the garage. It’s on a hill overlooking the town and just a short drive away. The owner thoughtfully prepared a notebook with a listing of all the restaurants and things to do in town. I would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Salmon

This was such a wonderful spot with views out every window! All the amenities were perfect - we loved the adjustable bed softness! The sweets and bottle of wine were very much appreciated, especially after coming in from a long day hiking and fishing. Thanks for the perfect end to our time in Idaho!

We had a lovely time. The space is immaculate and really lovely. The little touches like the snacks were wonderful. The host is responsive and kind. Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency and had to leave early, but we’ll be booking this place again next year if we can.

Yes, at home. Can I find ways to praise this rental that haven’t already been said? It sets a high standard for many others. I could say the view is breathtaking. I could say the bed is extremely comfortable. I could say all the special beverages, chocolates on the pillows, mornings pastries, daytime snacks, cookies for your coffee or tea are unexpected touches that set this place above so many others. I could say air conditioning was an added bonus. I could say a washer and dryer on the premises were a great addition. Finally I could say the prompt reply from the hostess and her discrete presence while there were greatly appreciated. I could say all those but they have undoubtedly been said before. What I can say is this rental was so welcoming it naturally felt like home. Do not miss out renting this property. I guarantee you will love it as much as we did.

This is an inlaw unit above a garage. Guests must enter through the main house to access the Unit. The unit is perfect. The design is extremely thoughtful. The kitchen was well stocked and guests can make anything, bake, etc. everything about the unit was accommodating. High ceilings, mini-split unit that heats and cools. The location is very scenic with expansive views of salmon, idaho and the mountains behind. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay.

Heavenly home in Salmon
First time doing any type of home rental/airbnb type deal - and wow, we hit the jackpot! Susan's home is gorgeous and she thought of everything from A to Z to make her guests feel comfortable. Location of home is great too....basically just drive down the hill and you're in downtown Salmon in under 5 minutes. Can't say enough about the experience and the stay - it was just great. Best VRBO ever!
My husband and I stayed in Salmon for 4 nights at Susan's place. Susan is the best vrbo host!! She responds immediately to messages. There was a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us at check-in. The check-in process was very simple. She also had snacks and pastries for us, which made our lives easy while there! The views from the apartment are gorgeous, and the apartment itself is clean, roomy, comfortable, and elegant. We will be back, and highly recommend!!

Out of all the homes I've stayed in over all the years, this is without a doubt the nicest and most well-appointed. A chilled bottle of wine, pastries, comfy bed, lovely shower, spectacular view... Clean, quiet, professional place to stay. Susan, the VRBO host went above and beyond assisting us whenever needed. The Alice doors throughout the apartment were perfect hiding places for our grandkids. We were even allowed a late checkout (with a smile)as the weather delayed our departure 4 hours. Will always stay here when coming to Salmon!

A Luxury Retreat In The Heart of Salmon Idaho
This custom built property is absolutely astounding. From the hand carved floors, stairs and banisters, to the granite counters, Keurig coffeemaker, luxurious King bedding this home is a dream come true! Susan and Richard are not only artisans but hosts extraordinaire. Touches were everywhere, biscotti and fresh pastries, Starbucks drinks, high quality soaps and toiletries that made you feel as if you were staying at the Ritz Carlton rather than rural Idaho. We came for an annual hockey tournament out of necessity and left with plans to return during fishing and white water rafting season simply because we cannot wait for the opportunity to return to this incredible property. On a side note, Susan also owns Goodenow jewelry store in town that has the world's greatest treasures at very affordable pricing. Most of the hockey moms on the team came to buy river rocks bracelets, opals, sparkling agate earrings, silver rings and more! Do not miss this opportunity to meet this terrific couple and uncover a true gem of Salmon Idaho! We checked out only an hour ago and our two children are already asking when we can return "to our favorite home away from home".
