My wife an I stayed in this apartment during our visit to Salzburg. It is located just outside the old town, within walking distance. The property was well kept and had ample parking for us. The host was also quite helpful in answering our questions and giving us recommendations. I would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Ruth’s apartment is conveniently situated in a quiet residential street within walking distance of the city centre and various attractions. Wonderful
We chose Salzburg as the place to stay for easy access the the Konigsee and Berchtesgaden National Park. Our stay was very enjoyable and met our expectations. Our apartment was in a residential area with access to local food and other services and a comfortable walk away from Salzburg’s beautiful old city. Our host was helpful in providing lots of information to facilitate check-in and guide our stay. Highly recommend the pizza at nearby Ristorante Roma. We had a good time.

Great stay in a comfortable apartment that was conveniently located
I stayed in this apartment for 2 days while my partner and I visited Salzburg and it’s Christmas markets in December 2022. The apartment was exactly as described, super clean, very comfortable, and easy to find. The washer and dryer available on site were also great. The owner, Ruth, was very helpful with all of the information she provided us, including about how to easily get to town and to the nearest markets and bakery (thanks for the great map!), and was responsive to all of our questions and needs. She even arranged a taxi for us on our last day! The location of the apartment is quiet, slightly outside town and very near bakeries, several good grocery stores, etc., as well as an easy and pleasant walk to public transportation. It’s a straight shot on the bus to downtown Salzburg (or anywhere else you want), and public transportation is very easy to take here. It’s also quite close and easily accessible from the train station. All-in-all, we had a nice time in this lovely apartment and I would highly recommend staying her, and would do so again in the future. Thank you Ruth!

Für einen Kurzurlaub ideal! Sehr nette Gastgeberin, die uns willkommen hieß. In der Wohnung bleiben keine Wünsche offen, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Nous avons occupé l’appartement en rez-de-chaussée qui dispose d’une terrasse bien agréable. L’appartement est très bien équipé. Le quartier, un peu à l’écart du centre ville (1/2 heure à pied) est néanmoins très agréable et calme. Supermarché à proximité. Les indications pour arriver étaient très claires et très complètes.

Wir haben uns in dem Apartment sehr wohl gefühlt. Kommunikation und check in waren unkompliziert, die Wohnung sehr sauber, die Küche super ausgestattet und das Bett sehr bequem. Die Lage ist perfekt - ruhige Wohngegend für angenehme Nachtruhe und ca. 15min zu Fuß in die Altstadt. Buslinien zum hbf, Flughafen und in die Innenstadt gibts in nur wenigen Gehminuten. Beim nächsten Salzburgaufenthalt kommen wir gerne wieder!

The apartment was a great base for sightseeing within the city itself and for day trips. The #1 bus (the stop opposite the bakery) starts before 6.ooam which is excellent for getting a head start on the crowds. We appreciated the use of the washer/drier and the outdoor patio. We stayed in the 2-room Ruth's apartment and it's a good option to visit the city and its surroundings. With the Salzburg card, you get all public transport for free, and even better if you rent bikes to move to the less crowded places in the city.

Nice apartment in good location
We very much enjoyed our stay in Dr. Dick's Salzburg apartment. The location was an easy walk into Old Town and close proximity to some very nice neighborhood restaurants and a good cafe. The apartment was clean and very comfortable for two of us. Dr. Dick provided us with information and maps. We were sorry we weren't able to meet Dr. Dick in person since she was out of town during our stay - maybe next time! We would definitely stay in Dr. Dicks apartment again.

If you walk to the center along the way I drew in it takes 15 minutes to Neutor, the entrance to the historical center. Bus number 1 takes less than 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Cozy and clean
The apartment was as advertised. Dr. Ruth does an excellent job communicating and had a binder with helpful information in multiple languages. The apartment was within walking distance to the old town...about 17 minutes for me. There are several restaurants close by, two grocery stores and a bakery. We did not feel the need to have a car rental as everything was close and public transportation was efficient. We would recommend the apartment for those looking to stay just outside the old town and in a quite neighborhood. We walked back from town at night and never felt unsafe. If you are a larger person you may find the shower is a little snug. We would stay here again next time we are in Salzburg. Thanks Dr. Ruth!!!!

Dear guests My cleaning lady always leaves a map on the table where I drew in the shortest way to the historical center (15 minutes walking distance ) and the next supermarkets and bus stations. Bus station of the bus which takes you to the center and to the train station is 4-5 walking minutes away and the next supermarket about 10 walking minutes away but there is a bakery neat the hus station, just 4-5 walking minutes away. It is also marked on the map. You could. also have asked Mariana, who takes care of my apartments and my guests when I am not there, as I wrote you in the instructions. She would have helped you with pleasure. I am very sorry you had problems with the wifi and the TV. This is rather unusual. I apologize for the inconvenience. I am also sorry you found the shower so tight, it is a notmal shower cabin of 80 cm. radius. I am really sorry for the inconvenience. Best wishes, Ruth

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salzburg at Ruth’s place. The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to bus stops, market, and bakery, and had everything we needed, including access to washer and drier. Ruth provided a wealth of information, including maps of the city and public transportation, as well as ideas for hiking and day trips., and contact info in case something went wrong. (It didn’t.) Her directions for finding important places like bus stops, restaurants, and markets were accurate and helpful. We especially enjoyed the neighborhood beer garden Weinstucki Stadheurger, and for a treat, St. Peter Stiftskeller restaurant, both on Ruth’s recommendation.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in dieser schönen Wohnung. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und es war sehr sauber, hell und freundlich. Eine Ferienwohnung zum sich wohlfühlen.Die Innenstadt von Salzburg ist innerhalb von 10 Minuten mit dem Bus erreichbar, zu Fuß ein schöner Spaziergang. Comfortable and well equipped
We loved the apartment. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped. The owner provided detailed information for us before we arrived; when we arrived she had prepared a great guide to the apartment and the area. She was extra helpful by arranging a taxi for us. We liked being away from the tourist areas. However, it's only 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the center; it's also on a busline.

i am a 70 year old woman who enjoys traveling by myself & go on 4 two week adventures a year. very rarely do i stay in a hotel & have found wonderful rentals on vrbo. this rental is at the top of my list. dr ruth dick is an amazing woman whose attention to detail is second to none! the apt is so well equipped that one could easily live there! i am a gourmet cook & had everything i needed in the incredibly equipped kitchen. it was so nice not to have to run to the store to get salt, pepper towels, dish soap, etc, etc. ruth met me @ the apt & showed me around. it took me 20 mins to walk to the ctr of town & it was an easy walk. i felt safe & walked home in the dark all 5 days i was there. it was a pleasure to rent from dr ruth dick!

Great quiet location yet close to the action
What a great place to stay! Ruth was so kind and amazing, gave us a personal tour of the property, answered all our questions and even helped us get back a ring that my partner left by mistake. She even took the time to give us a map marked with the closest groceries, restaurants and bakery, totally above and beyond. Studio Apartment - Quiet Neighbourhood and Easy Access to Old Town
We stayed on the ground floor studio apartment for 6 nights and everything was very much as described. The apartment was clean, kitchen well equipped (but no microwave), bed comfortable and fantastic shower. (Hot water was always available). The owner was very responsive and answers all our queries very quickly. Thank you Ruth The only negative was that the internet access was unreliable and extremely slow. The owner told us that there was an issue with the router and this would be resolved. Sadly, it was not fixed during our stay. The street where the apartment is located is a quiet residential area. That said, there are a few restaurants and supermarkets within a short walk. We had a car and there was free parking behind the apartment building. We opted to take the bus into the old town - #1 or #27. A travel pass is recommended. We bought a weekly - great value and very convenient. We preferred bus #1. It leaves from Glansteg on Maxglaner hauptstraße - turn left to end of street and cross foot bridge to Maxglaner hauptstraße. Salzburg is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do; and an excellent range of restaurants. We especially enjoyed Sternbrau on Griesgasse 23. Allow a minimum of 2 days to see the sights of Salzburg. We would also recommend a day trip to St Gilgen and St Wolfgang.

Unfortunately my son was not able to come during your stay to fix it. Someone stole the repeater from the studio, I had to buy a new one and my son has to program it to connect it with the modem. Great Location
Very satisfied. It was easy to find, it had sufficient parking spaces. We had the ground floor studio apartment. Clean and comfortable, TV, but no English laungage channels, which was not a problem for us. Great shower, with a very efficient boiler, but a very big boiler, you WILL bang your head on it when getting off the toilet. Easy walking to the city, no need to use your car or the excellent public transport. I was very happy to stay here. The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute walk away. Turn right as you leave the property, then take the first turning to the right, go to the end of the road. Turn left onto the main road. The supermarket is called BILLA is about 200 meters on the right.

Dear guests There are at least 2 English channels, CNN and BBC world, so sorry you did not find them. I am very sorry you banged your head on the boiler. No one has complained about that before. And there is a shorter way to the nearest supermarket, a Billa on Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse. Usually I leave a map on the table where the way is drawn in. If my cleaning lady did not do that, I apologize. I will see that she does not forget to leave one next time. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in our apartment. Best wishes, Ruth

Alles hat sehr gut geklappt.
Obwohl Ruth nicht vor Ort war, war alles gut vorbereitet. Die Anleitung für das Finden das Schlüssels war perfekt :-) Die Wohnung war 4 Haltestellen vom Zentrum entfernt - also bestens. Das es Unterschiede im Preis des 24-Stunden-Tickets gab, je nachdem WO man das Ticket kauft, hätten wir gerne vorher gewusst - aber so haben wir gelernt im Vorverkauf ist es am preiswertesten, am Ticket-Automaten etwas teurer und beim Busfahrer am teuersten. Solche kleinen Tipps hätten noch in der Mappe, die in der Wohnung stand, drin stehen können. Geschirrtücher wären auch nett gewesen - aber das sind alles Luxus-Probleme. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in Salzburg. Danke. Petra & Erich

Liebe Gäste Normalerweise sind mehrere Geschirrtücher in jeder Wohnng. Das tut mir sehr leid, wenn Sie keine vorgefunden haben. Ich werde meine Reinigungsfrauen nochmals bitten dies immer zu kontrollieren. Das mit den Tickets wusste ich auch nicht, werde mich genau erkundigen und in der Mappe ergänzen. Lovely apartment clost to city center
A great one-bedroom apartment with full kitchen and a spacious bedroom with large screen TV. About a 15 minute walk from the City Center/Riverwalk area of Salzburg. Very clean and well appointed. This unit has a nice patio and off-street parking. There is a good local restaurant about two blocks away, as well as several fast-casual places like a pizza shop that is highly rated (though we did not eat there). This unit is in a mid-sized apartment building, which was very quiet. The building is in a mixed-residential neighborhood with single-family and apartment buildings, and on a very quiet street. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely Salzburg Apartment
Only a short 20 minute walk to the Old Town and a 5 minute walk to grocery stores. Free parking in a safe neighbourhood. The laundry facilities were a welcome bonus. We loved our stay here!
