We LOVED Haus Arenberg. The views were fantastic, breakfast was plentiful and the room and property were incredibly charming. I will absolutely stay here again if my travels bring me back to Salzburg.

Cozy and comfortable with excellent breakfast..
We spent 5 days at this place on a leisure trip to Salzburg. The property is very nice and comfortable. The owners and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Eager to help and provide all information needed to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast spread is limited but more than sufficient and excellent in terms of quality. The place is a bit of a walk from the city center and on a uphill gradient. So best to take a taxi when arriving and departing with luggage. For normal sightseeing days days its quite ok to walk to the city center and back to hotel. Also no possibility to get lunch or dinner at the hotel...so these meals should be had out before you return to the hotel at the end of the day. Highly recommended...

I was quite excited to visit this hotel as on line it looked really great, on arrival it matched the pictures a converted house to a hotel, i presume We were given a lower floor room which meant loosing a little of the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, the room was a little disappointing , had i been a big person the bathroom facilities would have been a problem, the toilets position in conjunction with the shower gave no room, also little privacy The washbasin was difficult to keep the water in when using it The sleeping area was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for clothing TV was well positioned for viewing Nice terrace but it was winter do we did not take advantage of it Breakfast, there was a good selection of meats, cereal, cold meats and cakes etc however hot food was spars and depended who was serving as to whether you got what you order and sometimes a long wait, however the room had a great view very clean comfortable The Hotel is situated a little way from the centre of the city but a pleasant walk of 15/20 minutes Salzburg is a must place to visit Overall disappointed

Gut geführtes familiäres Hotel
Ein familiengeführtes Hotel, das sich um die Gäste bemüht. Das Personal ist freundlich und kompetent. Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Sauberkeit wird groß geschrieben. Zimmer nach Süden ausgerichtet mit Blick auf die Berglandschaft im benachbarten Berchtesgadener Land. Sehr schöne Aussicht.

Complementary water in fridge, toiletries in bathroom, which if you flying with just hand luggage is a bonus, staff and owners couldn't do enough for you, lovely breakfast, recommend the omelette! Fantastic place, 10 mins walk to town centre, up hill coming back! Ate in restaurant recommended by hotel, lovely food and excellent service.

Beautiful property, especially the breakfast area and garden. Free parking, very nice breakfast, lovely staff. A bit of a hike into the city and no air conditioning, but it cooled down at night with windows open (there are screens). Rooms have balconies with beautiful views. Beautiful garden.

We booked a Triple room at this hotel for 2 ppl only because we needed a room with a king bed, as we were unable to sleep in a small bed. Triple room was the only available with a king bed. When we arrived we were checked in to 2 connected rooms in the basement. There was no word about 2 connected rooms and about the basement on our Expedia confirmation letter or on the hotel description (we would never book such a terrible room and would never pay extra for a connected room!). We felt like there was something wrong with the entire reservation/check in process and we were not given a room we had booked. However, the hotel owner stated that no other rooms were available and they were fully booked. Another issue happened during the check out process. There are no in-room safes at this hotel, so we had to leave our passports and valets at the "hotel's safe" = gave them to the hotel owner at the reception, which was a big mistake. Upon check out they could not find our passports and valets. It took about 30 min for a receptionist to locate them by checking all offices, calling the hotel owner (she was out of the hotel at that time), her husband and his girlfriend. We were about to call the police and could only guess where they kept our passports and valets and who could have an excess to all of it. Be careful when you book this hotel. They posted a photo of their best room on Expedia, but I assume that all guests who booked through Expedia are checked in to basement rooms.

Сам отель очень понравился - уютный, домашний какой-то, милые завтраки. Много зелени, птички поют, нет уличного шума. Но эта прелесть возникает потому, что расположен он довольно далеко от туристического центра, причем в гору.

高台にあり山々がきれい見え景色が素晴らしい。 駐車場が広く入口近くで荷物を運ぶのに便利。 内装は新しくとてもきれいだが建物は古くエレベーターがないので階段を使う。 高台にあるため、徒歩で荷物をもって登るのは大変。 　 朝食はグレードが高く、サーモン、ケーキがあり、紅茶やハーブティは高品質のものを提供しています。 さらに、玉子を調理してもらえ、上手に焼かれた目玉焼きをいただきました。 　 特筆すべきは、代々続く家族経営による暖かみのあるサービスと雰囲気の素晴らしさです。大きなホテルや普通のホテルにはないものです。 不便や古い点を凌駕することでしょう。

Es ist eine Reise allein mit dem Auto. Der Hotelbesitzer begrüßte mich freundlich. Das Hotel liegt an einem Hügel etwas außerhalb der Stadt, aber es war sehr ruhig und komfortabel. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber und der Balkon blickte auf die fernen Berge und es war schön, sich entspannen zu können.

Fantastic place to get closer to nature and away from the city buzz. This family run place offers comfortable rooms with a wonderful mountain view. Breakfast was nice but good coffee is worth a special mention, really appreciated having an excellent cup in the morning. Also everyone is very welcoming, felt right at home. I had a slight problem with a room which was solved in two seconds! All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Good for Salzburg area.
The host charged us an extra day, but due to my wife's help, got fixed. Family run place. The breakfast was not included and I didn't know that until checkout, though it was very good and probably worth the price. Salzburg is pricey and compared to other places this was a nice place to stay. Free parking was great. It's about a 20min walk to the main town.
