Amazing place. Views are breathtaking. Worth every dollar spent!

For the price you just can’t ask for anything more. The host responds to your questions within minutes. Moreno and Ara are amazing from cooking to cleaning and helping you in anyway possible. Best b’day ever. Looking fwd to coming back in the near future. I advise if anyone has any questions or doubts just ask the host, she honest and will tell you as is. Bad experience

Getting to the location is difficult. Sheets are dirty. Pool not as close to the house as it seems. You can’t go night swimming because it gets very dark around the area. Getting to & from the house is dangerous because of the roads. The house is out dated. It’s not as the pictures.

Best vacation ever

We were very impressed with the location of this property. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival. It is a nice and quiet area. It is a great place for people that enjoy nature. As for our stay, Lady that takes care of the cleaning - Ara - also was preparing breakfast and lunch. She is an amazing person with a huge heart. She did everything what we asked and even more. Moreno !!! This is the best chef we ever met. We had different dinners every night, and he was surprising Us with the combination of food and how well it was prepared to our taste. The dinner looked amazing and tasted even better. The owner "Carol" must be very proud to have Ara and Moreno !!! As to the owner "Carol" - the house is very beautiful, the area and view all around is breathtaking. The pictures that show this property were taken with new furniture, but it was at least 10-15 years ago, now the furniture is in a bad shape, especially in the living room and outside on the porch, where we spent the most time. Mostly the couches and pillows. Not just Us, but I think that other clients will appreciate this change. We would love to come back again in the future. We already miss Ara and Moreno.

Hemos pasado un fin de semana en familia y ha sido increíble, la casa es preciosa y la zona de la piscina super acogedora. Moreno y Ara han sido increíbles, se han integrado con nosotros en todo momento y no han dejado que nos faltase de nada, su disponibilidad, amabilidad y cariño no tiene precio y decir también que cocinan de maravilla. Nosotros también os llevamos en el corazón.

An amazing and truly unique experience!

We spent Christmas week at La Finca and had an amazing vacation. We wanted a different experience than the resort life and La Finca was the perfect retreat for us. There were 9 of us (4 adults and 5 teenage/adult children) and everybody had a fantastic time. The property is very special with incredible views. It is located about a 20 minutes-drive from Las Terrenas/beaches/stores/tour agencies. (We recommend Supermercado Lindo and Chez Jean in terms of grocery shopping = French supermarket and French bakery with products to die for). The surroundings seen from the main house and the pool area are absolutely breathtaking. The animals roam around freely and move around the vast property. The house is very tastefully and well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and stress free week. The best feature of the house however are the people that take care of it! Moreno (groundkeeper), Ara (housekeeper) , and Miguel (night guard) were all AMAZING! Moreno cooked for us 4 times out of the 7 nights we were there. You have to trust Moreno with the cooking! You won’t be disappointed!!! Ara has the friendliest smile and at our request made the most delicious fresh fruit juice I have ever tasted (passion was our favorite). Miguel was there at night but was incredibly discreet. The 3 of them are total gems! Finally, Carole (owner of the property) was incredibly helpful before and during our trip. Although away in Europe while we were at the house, she answered the handful of questions we had amazingly quickly. My WhatsApp messages were answered almost instantly. If you are looking for a different experience than a luxury hotel in Punta Cana, La Finca is a great option! We were able to see and explore the “real” Dominican Republic, its culture, and its wonderful people. We will try to come back! Frederique, Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania)

Amazing holiday

We staid 10 days in the finca Mi Amor in October 2017. We , 5 adults, enjoyed the atmosphere of this amazing place and the perfect care of Ara, Moreno and Papito. Thank you all for your friendliness. The 2 small watch dogs, the cat and the lizards were welcome company. Thank you to the Owners Carole and Fred for sharing this wonderful place with us and for the recommendation with the rental car. Thank you to Ara, Moreno and Papito for everything. Our last evening together was a nice ending of our holiday.

Immersion au paradis sur Terre

Nous avons été subjugués par la beauté du site, la nature à perdre de vue, les plantes luxuriantes, les bananiers, les palmiers, les fruits de la passion. L architecture de la maison est exceptionnelle et le confort est au rendez-vous, pas de voisins à l exception de Moreno qui veille sur le domaine et qui nous nous apportait des fruits le matin, des œufs, des noix de coco qu il ouvrait à la machette ou qui nous préparait la vraie pina colada ou un dîner typique. Se réveiller avec les chants des oiseaux, les chevaux ou les ânes, ouvrir les yeux et ne voir que la nature telle fut notre quotidien durant ces 2 semaines à Finca Mi Amor. Ara prenait soin de la maison chaque jour et nous a mis en contact avec la gentille masseuse Maria, Papito veillait sur la maison toutes les nuits. Carole et Fred, les heureux et charmants propriétaires, ont été d excellents conseils pour nous renseigner pour la location du 4x4 ou pour les activités, les bons plans sur place. Allez y les yeux fermés où plutôt ouvrez grand les yeux pour ne rien rater du paysage, de la beauté et du charme de la maison et de la piscine et passez de merveilleuses vacances avec une population charmante et souriante dans ce magnifique pays qu est la Republique Dominicaine.

Séjour inoubliable dans une villa de rêve

Un voyage réussi dans une villa de rêve où nous avons passé 11 jours inoubliables entre couples d’amis avec un enfant de 3 ans et un bébé. Un grand merci à Carole et Fred pour tous leurs conseils depuis notre réservation et un grand bravo pour avoir fait de ce lieu un havre de paix à la décoration soignée. C’est une villa magnifique où la nature est respectée, un endroit unique et magique! En dehors de la villa et de la piscine à débordement avec une vue splendide sur la palmeraie, nous avons profité des alentours, apprécié les plages de la baie de Samana qui sont vraiment somptueuses et la sympathie des dominicains. Ara et Moreno ont également participé à rendre ce séjour mémorable. Merci à eux pour toutes leurs chaleureuses attentions à la villa. Tout était parfait, dommage que toutes les bonnes choses aient une fin car nous y serions bien restés encore plus longtemps!

Paradise in the DR

Can't say enough about this amazing property. So relaxing, so enjoyable, so quiet. Spent 10 days with 2 families and had a wonderful time. Carol and Fred were so accommodating. Cadre idyllique!

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à la Finca mi Amor. Lieu paradisiaque de par sa situation: la maison domine le paysage, mélange de palmiers, bananiers et flamboyants. Le repos est au rendez-vous soit allongés au bord de la piscine soit lovés dans les grands canapés sous la véranda. Mais nous avons aussi profité de ces vacances pour se balader: voir les baleines, les Haïtises ou encore la route du café. Ara et Moreno ont été charmants et Fred et Carole nous ont donné d'excellents conseils. Nous pensons y retourner dès l'année prochaines avec des amis.

Excellent séjour dans un cadre verdoyant

superbe maison très spacieuse dans un cadre idyllique avec Ara qui s'occupe de l'intendance , Moreno du jardin et Paquito le gardien. Ce sont des gens très accueillants, très disponibles, toujours à l'écoute de nos souhaits, ce qui a rendu ce séjour chaleureux. De plus, Carole la propriétaire a su répondre efficacement a toutes les questions que nous lui avons posées avant notre départ, ceci avec beaucoup d'amabilité. Séjour très agréable, le seul bémol est l'accès difficile qui nécessite obligatoirement un 4/4.

Paradisiaque!

C'est un endroit magique! Toutes les photos donnent une réplique exacte de la Finca mi Amor! La maison est géniale, les chambres sont spacieuses et possèdent toutes une salle de douche très agréable. La piscine est belle. Il est vrai que cet endroit nous donne juste une envie de ne rien faire, de se relaxer et d'en profiter. Ara, Moreno et Papito étaient là pour veiller sur nous et s'assurer que nous avions tout ce que nous avions besoin. Ce sont des personnes adorables. Ils manquent beaucoup à nos trois enfants. Les fruits que Moreno nous apportaient (fruits de la passion, bananes, oranges, etc...) étaient évidemment délicieux. Carole, la propriétaire, était à l'écoute et s'assurait que tout était en ordre pour nous. Nous sommes très satisfait de notre séjour à la Finca mi Amor. L'accès n'est pas très aisé et nécessite absolument un 4x4, mais bon, c'est cela qui fait que ce lieu est magique car au milieu d'une nature magnifique! Merci Carole, Fred, Ara, Moreno et Papito, nous espérons vous revoir bientôt!

un petit coin de paradis!

Difficile d'imaginer un endroit aussi magique que La Finca. L'arrivee dans cette maison du bout du monde vous fait sentir Robinson Crusoe! Mais la Finca c'est surtout un maison magnifique, qui se marie parfaitement avec la nature luxuriante qui l'entoure, tout en offrant le meilleur confort qu'on puisse esperer. En ajoutant les merveilleux petits plats d'Ara et la disponibilite et la gentillesse de Moreno, il ne manque rien. Nous avons passe 15 jours de reve dans cet endroit! Encore merci a Carole et Frederic!

"La Finca mi Amor, tout e...

"La Finca mi Amor, tout est dans le nom : l’accueil des propriétaires et leurs conseils avisés, la beauté des lieux, la qualité de la maison, le personnel aux petits soins. Nous avons passé 15 jours de rêve avec nos enfants et petits-enfants dans ce petit paradis calme et magnifique au milieu d’une nature sauvegardée. Ici tout est simple et facile, la seule préoccupation est de savoir ou diner! Au bord la piscine à débordement et sa salle à manger au raz de l''eau ou sur la terrasse de la maison au milieu des oiseaux et des fleurs. Les plages sont faciles d''accès et certainement parmi les plus belles que nous ayons pu voir lors de nos voyages autour du monde. Enfin la petite ville de las Terrenas, typiquement Dominicaine, ou l''on trouve tout, même un petit supermarché ou l''on parle Français. La maison principale, de type coloniale est splendide, avec son immense salon à la fois sobre et contemporain et ses très grandes chambres. Les photos du site ne donnent qu’un petit aperçu de l’amour que Carole et Fred ont mis dans la déco de leur maison. Merci Carole et Fred de nous avoir fait passer d''aussi bons moments. "

"3 semaines en aout, une famille avec 2 enfants de 10 et 7 ans. Location vraiment exceptionnelle. L''ensemble du domaine est largement à la hauteur des photos publiées sur le site. Les proportions immenses de la maison et du jardin offrent un confort, un calme et une vue assez paradisiaques. La maison est légèrement en altitude, loin de l''atmosphère moite et étouffante que l''on peut trouver au même moment à Las Terrenas. Le domaine est situé à un quart d''heure de Las Terrenas. Belle route. Le seul souci est qu''une fois installé dans la maison, il faut presque se forcer pour aller se balader ailleurs, tant on savoure le calme, la piscine, la végétation et la grande terrasse ombragée. Chaque pièce est évidemment plus que généreuse, décorée et meublée avec beaucoup de goût. On est loin de villégiatures de locations classiques, souvent meublées et aménagées de façon purement fonctionnelle. La piscine est très conviviale, propre, bien orientée, avec une vue à couper le souffle.. L''accueil et le professionnalisme d''Ara et Moreno, qui nous accueillent, sont à la hauteur des lieux. Aux petits soins mais hyper-discrets, pour nous avoir fait vivre de vraies vacances : propreté, sécurité, cuisine locale excellente sur demande, conseils de visite..les avocats, ananas ou fruits de la passion qu''ils ont cueillis dans le jardin et qu''ils nous offrent le matin ne sont qu''un exemple de leur chaleureuse attention. Propriétaires vraiment sympas, réactifs et de confiance. Nous avons loué plusieurs maisons un peu partout depuis plusieurs années. Aujourd''hui, on se demande où et comment pourrait-on retrouver un jour un endroit aussi magique, où le luxe et l''espace ne servent qu''à savourer l''authenticité des lieux. "

"Amazing Villa surrounded...

"Amazing Villa surrounded by 35 ha of nature. We spent ten days there with our four and two year old kids in January. The Villa is conveniently located near all the ammenities of Las Terrenas yet it provides a perfect hide away in a haven of tranquillity. We explored from there all the province of Samana. The Villa is a beautiful building perfectly well equiped with a graceful mix of wood and modern furniture. It is a very comfortable house with fantastic views (from the house as from the swimming pool). We were looked after by the very discrete staff of the house that cooked for us every day and cleaned the house (very convenient when one wants to feel totally on holiday! Gracias Ara and Moreno). It is the perfect place to feel special in the beautiful province of Samana. Thanks also to Fred and Carole, the owners that made sure that our stay was perfect. Volveremos muy pronto!!"
