We had a wonderful experience staying at this Hostel. Lovely property and great food. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to visit Semac Champey.

The property is a great place, given the amenities like common areas, restaurant, pools etc. Rooms are pretty basic and also rather „open” as the wall ends and you can hear other rooms and it’s also not great when it’s cold outside (thin blanket they give you doesn’t cut it). So essentially basic room (most with common toilets outside) but a great vibe

Very nice hotel/hostel. The rooms and facilities are nice and clean. Loved the ambience and activities. They rock! Great location within walking distance to Semuc and the caves.

Food poisoning and nearly worse
Terrible experience. The hotel restaurant is the only dinner food option, and the alfredo pasta special gave one of us terrible food poisoning. But the issues are broader than just bad food. There’s loud club music blaring all nearly all hours, and the entire experience seems designed to get you to run up a large bar tab and then shoved out for the next batch of unsuspecting travelers. It also didn’t help the owner kept loudly berating his local staff. There are better options for Semuc Champey, both closer options and friendlier options.

Hello. We are troubled by the opinion in our review. We manufacture a colorful and lively night based on the travelers we have. I have to correct you on the food poisoning as you and your friend went tubing and were drinking beer on the tubing tour and most likely you accidentally consumed river water as no one else complained about the food on Monday. I actually had the same dish without problems. However, we are sorry you didn’t enjoy our time. For future guests please note we have attentive staff members to listen and help solve your problems at the moment if you can just address the issue.

This place was really great! The staff was friendly and the facilities were in good shape. My brother-in-law and I came in on motorcycles and the management was kind enough to let us park them in a great spot. The atmosphere and nightlife were a lot of fun. Also ... this hostel is continuing to make improvements all the time. I’d definitely go back!

¡Ya quiero regresar a hospedarme de nuevo!
El hotel es muy bonito y las personas que lo atienden son muy amables. La piscina está muy buena y debo decir que la comida es fantástica, no solamente por su gran calidad pero también por precios accesibles. Es un hotel/hostal que se mantiene limpio y ordenado, con un río que pasa a un lado de las habitaciones principales. Esto puede ser algo ruidoso en caso de mucha lluvia, pero es un agradable sonido con menos agua.
