EACH FLOOR has its' own separate entry, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining room and living room and can function as its' own complete residence while also being connected by an exterior stair and deck, offering great flexibility in how you choose to use the spaces.
The house is a quick trip to downtown, airport, and most of the popular visitor destinations (Pearl, Museums, Riverwalk, Arenas, Theaters, Trinity University, Zoo to name a few). Lovingly refinished original hardwood floors, original artwork and a unique color palette make this home's interior stand out.
The FIRST FLOOR welcomes you with a comfortable but quirky vintage ambiance that is reflective of the home's history. An amazingly spacious floor plan offers you everything you'll need for a memorable stay. The LIVING AREA provides plenty of seating, a TV ( ROKU setup with many option, e.g., NETFLIX, HBO Max, and Amazon PRIME channels) and plenty of games, cards and books for your use. There are 2 nicely furnished BEDROOMS each with a new queen sized mattress. The master bedroom has an en suite sitting room which is perfect for morning coffee or an infant in a pack-n-play/portable crib (both available upon request). The BATHROOM is vintage with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos and other necessities for your use. The KITCHEN is well stocked with the basics you'd need to cook a meal and then some! It's equipped with an electric stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (pods provided), and a selection of spices and oil. The DINING ROOM is located just off of the kitchen and seats 4. Note that there is also a small TV ROOM off of the kitchen that is furnished with a TV (ROKU), 2 gaming chairs and a new Xbox series X console with 2 controllers. This is a great space for the kids to claim as their own hang out! The LAUNDRY ROOM is furnished with a compact washer and dryer (laundry detergent provided!) and iron/ironing board. A small DECK with seating (connects to stair to second floor and back yard )is available at the back door.
The SECOND FLOOR has been remodeled and has a decidely more funky and eclectic feel! The large LIVING AREA is furnished with a large, plush sectional, string lights, a TV (with ROKU providing many option, e.g., NETFLIX, HBO Max, and Amazon PRIME channels) and plenty of games, puzzles and books. There are 2 nicely furnished bedrooms. The MASTER BEDROOM has a queen sized SLEEP NUMBER mattress and an en suite sitting room which would be perfect for an infant in a pack-n-play/portable crib (both available upon request). The GUEST BEDROOM is also furnished with a new queen mattress as well as a wrought iron bed. The BATHROOM is vintage with refinished tub, new fixtures and plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos and other necessities for your use. The KITCHEN is a first class chef's kitchen with plenty of new appliances, gas stove/oven, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, disnwasher and Keurig coffee maker (pods included!). You will find a full selection of spices and a full array of kitchen basics and not-so-basics that you will enjoy using if you choose to cook. Some guests have even invited personal chefs into this kitchen and it has received their stamp of approval! The DINING ROOM features bar seating that connects with the kitchen as well as a comfortable dining table for 4. Note that there is also an OFFICE right off the kitchen with a desk with an Apple computer and printer for your use (WIFI is fiber optic). The LAUNDRY ROOM is furnished with new compact washer and dryer (detergent provided) and an iron/ board. A covered deck with seating that overlooks the back yard is available at the back door. The deck connects with the exterior stair that takes you to the first floor and back yard.
Lastly, the BACK YARD that serves the entire house features a large dining table, festive string lights, and a hot tub that seats 4. The CARPORT has two covered spots for your use.
Note that there is a high chair, pack-n-play and toddler gate available for your use. These are located in the closet of the second floor front door entry. A portable crib with sheets is also available but must be reserved in advance. If available it will be set up prior to your arrival.
We continue to improve the property. However, just ask if you have some particular storage needs (e.g., bikes, equipment, etc.) we may be able to accommodate storage during your stay in the shed in back (or at the garage of another property). Never hurts to ask.
