Lovely experience, and unique property that felt charming and European and we could see glimpses of the ocean from our room. For travelers who prefer sparkly clean and modern spaces, this might not be for you as it definitely is an older property and I did clean the room with my own Clorox wipes thoroughly and dusted before my friends arrived. The check-in was friendly, and we loved it and were happy with our choice!

Great location overlooking ocean and San Clamente Pier. Sombrero unit has kitchen, fireplace, and separate bedroom with two beds. Historical building with lots of character. It was perfect for our ladies getaway. We went to some great restaurants, shops, and Casa Romantica.

Best spot in San Clemente for restful stay!
Oceanfront Hacienda was such a wonderful surprise! I stumbled across their listing looking for a quick overnight escape for my wife and I. It was quite simply one of the the warmest and comfy experiences we have ever experienced. Quiet, cozy, and restorative for your spirit. Very close to everything you want to access on the waterfront at San Clemente, right across from the Metro Link stop, with a quick trolley ride up to town. This is now our home every time we will visit San Clemente! We loved staying here, and we will be back!

Very unique property, wonderful history. The biggest and most difficult to maneuver is the lack of parking.

Perfect Vacation
This was an amazing place to stay. You can’t beat the location, as it is so close to the pier, shopping, and restaurants. The sombrero suit was perfect for 4 people, it had all of the amenities including items for the beach. The views were stunning from everywhere. It was a clean and beautiful property.

Very nice and cozy room, Grotto was where I stayed. Property very clean, owner/host on site. Very nice and historic house. Very reasonable rates. Very quiet. The ocean is just a short walk away. Literally across the street. I will be back for sure.

The Bonita suite was really nice. The private beachfront patio was wonderful. The room comes fully equipped with everything you’ll need. The king bed sits high above the ground and my wife needed a step stool. The main room has a 27 inch tv and the bedroom has a 19 inch tv when you’re not at the beach. Everything is steps from the Hacienda. Parking is hard to find but worth it. No AC but the room has a fan and windows for the ocean breeze.

Classic restored Spanish villa from 100 years ago. What could be cooler. Paces from the raging sea, pier, bars and good coffee. Paradise.

San Clemente get away
The Sombrero room was awsome!! We cooked steaks, enjoying the dining table, had a great fire in the fireplace. Beds were so comfortable. Hated to leave. John the owner was so accommodating.

Sombrero Suite was SAWEET!
Having lived in San Clemente on and off for 20 years, I have always thought this would be a cool spot to suggest to guests given the location. We can confirm firsthand that we should've been sending friends here for years after an awesome weeklong stay (our SC home is being renovated and we popped back in town to check out progress). We stayed in the sombrero and the views were breathtaking, the fireplace was an awesome extra amenity each night and it was clutch to have a small kitchen/beautiful dining area so that we could enjoy a few meals at home vs. eating out the ENTIRE time. We will be back and will tell our friends!

Cute and cozy! Very clean! Loved that they kept the original doors and windows, even the light switches from when it was first built. It was definitely an experience like no other. Enjoyed that everything was walking distance including restaurants and beach/pier. Perfect small family getaway.

Nice beach location but impossible parking
Great location but parking is difficult to impossible. Unit is comfortable but would recommend that large picture window in bedroom be replaced with something that will open to allow cross breeze sense there is no AC. Great access to beach/pier and unit was quiet at night. Pictures listed are for all of property and not necessarily your rental. Will not stay again due to parking.....

Hi John, Thank you for the review. Living here in San Clemente, we've noticed this year is much busier with tourism. Perhaps it's due to Covid-19 restrictions and people looking for an outlet and traveling to the beach communities. Although, parking is difficult even for the locals as well, we're always happy to welcome travelers to this magical location. If you ever change your mind about returning for another visit we recommend planning a trip in non-peak travel months if possible. Again, we appreciate your business and honest review. This beautiful property has been fully restored to it's original grandeur for guests to enjoy historic architecture with a beachfront view. Super super Cute but not so clean
This is a super cute friendly little apartment. Loved the people the view the location!! However, this really needs a deep professional cleaning. I dropped the soap from the shower between the tub and bathroom counter and picked up wood chips, hair, dirt and was grossed out. Threw the soap away. This is privately owned so not much I could do. The owners are super nice and friendly. I’d only recommend they employ a cleaning service.
