Perfect little spot in the heart of Mission Beach
We absolutely love this place! Be sure to read this description, it is small and it is in a fairly busy area with a nightlife in Mission Beach. We had no trouble with noise though. It’s easy access to the bay and the beach and lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Owners were extremely responsive and very easy to work with as well. In our opinion, there’s no downside to this stay location.

Poor representation of property
Location was very noisy as it was on the main street. The accommodation was advertised as sleeping 4 adults. One queen size bed up against the wall with a framed sign on the wall telling occupants to "please do not attempt to use, sleeper sofa is inoperable". Couch slanted toward floor, so you rolled off during the night. No drawers anywhere to store clothing, and no hangers in the small closet. The furniture was pictured as white and was all grey (unimportant, but not accurate). 3 towels for 3 people for a 6 night stay. My point, for the most part, is that it should be advertised as a cute, small accommodation for a couple. We made the best of it.

Small gem
My two night stay was enhanced by the location, location, location of this condo. Small: yes — but the cute front patio was my go-to relaxing place. Watching this beach community tick was huge fun. Landlord is super nice, easy to communicate with. And I was grateful that a 2-night stay was fine (many places have 3-Day minimums in the summer). Give this a try!!

We had a great time in the Mission Beach area.
This property is very central to everything in Mission Beach. We had access to great restaurants and pubs as well as bicycle rentals. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. The kitchenette had everything we needed for breakfast meals. The owners were responsive when we called to ask to park earlier than our arrival time (parking is very limited in this area). The only shortcoming was that we weren't really able to enjoy the 2nd story deck as water from recent rains was ponded up on the surface. Also, this deck space is not super private as it butts up to the neighboring property. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great Location
This was my first time travelling to California, and I had a great time staying in Mission Beach. The apartment is only a block from the boardwalk and there are tons of great food spots nearby. The room can get pretty hot during the day, but the sea breeze helps at night. The owners were very helpful and informative, so getting settled in was quick and easy. I would recommend this location for those who want to stay close to Belmont Park and the beach.

Great location, a bit tiny and could use fresh paint or a wall wash but overall we were very happy. The patio was fantastic to sit on day or night.

Nicely decorated, too bad that level of care didn't carry over into the cleanliness. Stains on comforter, walls and baseboards need cleaning and/or painting. Garbage not emptied, coffee pot still had old grounds and coffee in it. Old unwashed sheet crumpled up in hide-a-bed.

Right in the middle of everything!
I couldn't get over how everything was just a few steps away. A block and a half to Mission Beach and also the bay. Plenty of places to chose from to eat, drink, shop, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. The place was just as shown in the pictures. People mention how small it is but it tells you in the description the square footage so this should not be a surprise. This was much better than staying in a hotel. The patio was great and nice view of Belmont Park. I read reviews that discussed how noisy it is but it's right in the middle of all the action so it was expected and didn't bother the three of us one bit. You have dedicated parking for two cars if you need the parking space. If I came back to San Diego with a small group, I would certainly stay here again!

An excellent place to stay.
The apartment is small, but has everything we needed to enjoy our time in San Diego. The location was excellent. Mission Beach is laid back, easy to get around, with lots of great eating choices. We had a little trouble with the TV, but Drew (the owner) showed up within an hour to fix the problem. Very impressive. Would recommend this unit.

I felt the condo was too small, too expensive for what you got, and queen bed woke us up every time we turned over because the box spring made a loud noise. On a positive note, the location was central to a lot of activity areas and restaurants, so people without a car could walk to many locations. Also, the manager we had contact with was very responsive.

Cute place, good location
The condo was small but cute. The location was perfect for beach time and Belmont Park was awesome! The location is close to the airport so it can be noisy at times. The bed left a bit to be desired, but wasn’t a total deal-breaker for us.

Perfect location!
We absolutely loved our stay! My mother and I rented the place for a weekend, it was close to the beach, theme park, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. It was the perfect size, had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a cocktail in the evenings. Would definitely return!

The location is handy. If you are looking for a Mission Beach area stay on a budget, this is a good choice. Like someone else said, it could use a deep clean - ie windows, window screens and baseboards. I appreciated the window over the bed, but not the fact that the screen was very dirty and you need that window open for circulation.

Wonderful small getaway.
For fear of having more people want to stay here, we had a great stay in Mission Bay/Beach! This was a great location close to the beach and shops and food, and also Mission Bay. So you had both areas from which to choose, walkable along either side with large park areas all around; and you're only 15 minutes from downtown. The ONLY reason I don't give this 5 stars is that it doesn't have cable, although there are hookups for a variety of Wi-Fi inputs; and it's right on the boulevard and a bit noisy on the weekend evenings. Don't expect a resort setting, but do enjoy the proximity to it all for much less than a stale hotel room elsewhere! Chris

Great location and great price
We loved the location this place provided!!! We also loved that it had parking!! We have a jeep Cherokee and the spot was perfect for this!! It's defiantly not high end, but it was exactly what we were looking for and for the price couldn't go wrong!! Pros: Location Price Parking Fully furnished (outside charcoal grill was great!) Updated Cons: Bed was very creaky and uncomfortable Could use just a good spring cleaning But none of these cons would stop us from coming back!! For two people it was perfect!! Thanks again!

Small but cozy. Great location minutes from everything you need.
The place was great and the location was on point. The porch/balcony sitting area was my favorite place to hang out. Starbucks and food just minutes from the house. Parking numbers were hard to see. But glad to have a parking spot right out the door. Biggest issue was the heat. The house was extremely hot due to weather outside and lack of fans in the house. There is only one box fan that was not working very well. Definitely could use a few updated fans since there are no ceiling fans in the house. It was so warm in the house we ended up leaving at 5am because we couldn't sleep.

Good Little Rental For 2.
This rental unit is perfect for 2 people on the go. Although small, the inside is nicely done. We were a bit disappointed with the front of the property as there were cigarette butts, garbage and bottle caps on the stairs leading to the unit which did not make it very inviting. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. The bed could also benefit from either a new mattress, boxspring or both as the bed is extremely creaky and noisy with getting in or out or moving around. This unit is also located on a very busy street so be prepared for lots of traffic noises as well as the noise from the roller coaster across the way at Belmont Park.

Perfect location, property needs improvement
Drew was very attentive to everything that we needed while on our stay. However, most things that needed to be attended to, shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Dirty sheets on the pull out, old food in the fridge made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the place. Constant cars parked in our spot made for an annoyance. Great location and very attentive owner-less than mediocre property, however.

Awesome weekend!!
We really enjoyed our weekend at the getaway! It was perfect for us 3 adults. The location was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the patio which has views of the park and Belmont roller coaster. The getaway was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There was also a parking space big enough for 2 smaller cars, awesome since parking down at Mission Beach can be tricky. The beach was a very short walk away. Thanks for the amazing birthday weekend! We will be back!

Terrific condo in fabulous location
My husband and I had such a fantastic stay in Mission Beach and really loved this little unit! Amazing location, only one block from the beach! Lots of shops nearby including Starbucks right next door and a great place to rent bikes. The unit has everything you need for your stay, including a full sized kitchen, great bed linens and towels. Super comfortable queen sized bed. Lots of things to use on the beach too (cooler, beach towels). The unit was very clean and is well maintained. It's nicely decorated with sleek, modern decor and well appointed with things you need on vacation. The only thing I would mention is that the bedroom is snug...nothing you can't deal with, just a little snug. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great location, well maintained unit and reasonable price. Drew was terrific...could not ask for a better host. He was great about communicating information to us as soon as we made reservations. He had great recommendations about bike rentals and info in the unit about restaurants and activities in the area. We thought this unit was a terrific value and would rent from Drew again in a heartbeat!

Awesome location, cool vibe
Great location for hanging out at Mission Beach. Everything was modern and clean and fully stocked for us. Perfect property size for 2. We had our teenage kids so a little crowded for us inside but we made great use of the rooftop patio, the beach, the park, the marina, the amusement park and Drew provided us with nice Boogie boards and beach chairs. There are tons of restaurants nearby. The parking space is great and we walked everywhere we went. Didn't want to leave. Thank you Drew! We'll be back!

Great Place, Awesome Location & Parking Included!
The 3 of us ladies had a great time at your place. Super close to Mission Beach, Belmont Park, Shopping and FOOD. It was way better than staying at a hotel during the times we stayed in. The patio to chit chat was awesome and I have to say this will be a spot not for only us, but for taking my family as well. LOVED that there was a space to park my car, and EVERYTHING was in walking distance. The place was very clean, and organized, towels/linens were there for us to use and anything we needed was just a phone call away. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality. Awesome location next to the roller coaster and bay or ocean side!!!
House was perfect size for our family which was 2 Adults and 2 small kids. A little noisey with the main traffic being right outside, but location was perfect. Also had a big parking spot that fit our SUV! We"ll be back! Thanks Drew!

Prime location was the best part about this rental!
You are 1 block from the beach and walking distance to a little grocery store, various places to eat, a park is right across the street and Belmont park with rides and an arcade, too! The place has a kitchen with everything to make your meals, and the place was very clean and tidy and smelled clean. We will rent here again for sure!

Wonderful place to stay.
Our stay was a Wonderful place to stay. (2 adults and 2 teenagers) It had everything we need and more. The place was very clean and tidy. All the kitchen was stocked with all the utensil, dishes, pans etc. along with all the paper goods(paper towels, toilet paper etc. They provided bath/kitchen towel as well as beach towels( we bought our own beach towels though). It was great not having to bring all that stuff or have to go to the store and buy. The property was very cozy. We enjoyed it. We got to meet Drew and he was just as great in person that he was in our correspondences. The property has a balcony with nice out door furniture. It overlooks the park, Belmont park(the roller coaster) and you can see the bay. When you come out of the property, to the right, the boardwalk is 2 blocks down and as your heading to the boardwalk you pass by everything including restaurants, sports bar, wave house, pizza and shops. To the left of the property the bay is 1/2 block away. We bought our bikes and rode them all around the bay area and the boardwalk. At night, we locked them up outside and had no problems. We will definitely be staying there next year. Thank you Drew and your family for letting us stay at your place. ALL was A+ and enjoyed it. Thanks again!! Jackie & Bryan
