The Babette (Hebreeuws: God's Promise) is een nieuw gebouwd familiehuis. Het oorspronkelijke huis werd gebouwd in 1967, maar in de loop van de jaren hebben we het in 2017 herbouwd en zijn we in januari 2018 bij de Airbnb-familie gekomen. Dit privé-huis is een familie-oase en we hebben besloten om deze prachtige ervaring met onze gast te delen.

Onze bescheiden woning is centraal gelegen in het hart van de stad San Ignacio, met dat gezegd dat het een perfect punt is om deze stad van ons te verkennen, omdat het op een steenworp afstand van het centrum ligt met een wandeling van 2-10 minuten naar alle belangrijke toeristische attracties

Ruim, comfortabel, ontspannend met een thuis weg van huis ervaring zou dit huis het beste beschrijven. Het hele huis is volledig uitgerust voor gezinnen met kinderen, koppels, alleenstaanden of een groep vrienden, om precies te zijn het past 10 gasten met comfort. Airconditioningseenheid in alle 3 slaapkamers, evenals keuken en woonkamer. Uw keuken is volledig uitgerust met granieten werkbladen, fornuis, koelkast, magnetron, keukengerei, potten, pannen, borden en een dubbele spoelbak. Een kleine eethoek met plaats voor 4 is ook perfect voor maaltijden. We delen deze ruimte ook met onze woonkamer met kabeltelevisie en een breed scala aan kanalen ... Het is een thuis waar je quality time kunt doorbrengen, terwijl je je comfortabel voelt bij familie en vrienden. Ik moet vermelden dat we 2 groot terras met hangmatten en tuinmeubilair hebben, perfect om te ontspannen met uitzicht op ons beroemde Macal River Park en de zeer vriendelijke buurt.

This is an amazing property for the value. It is walking distance to the San Ignacio farmer's market, a grocery store, coffee shop and chicken restaurant. The property is adjacent to a park, so the back bedroom is quiet at night. Everything was in excellent shape and exceeded our expectations.

The place was very nice and very spacious. The balcony on the rooftop was very enjoyable, with lots of different birds to watch on the surrounding trees. The bedsxwere comfortable and the washrooms were very clean. The proximity to the center of town made forc pleasant little walks. The host responded in a timely manner and was helpful.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is large, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We didn’t end up cooking during our visit, but the kitchen is very well-equipped and easily suited for preparing full meals.The upstairs balcony was absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax. We truly enjoyed meeting Melly and her husband — they were incredibly responsive, kind and welcoming.The location was perfect. The Guava Limb is just a few steps away with fantastic food, and the market and downtown area are only about a six-minute walk. 7 day stay: Great location, easy to walk to town. No car required for local activities. The photos matched the house. Just a few tips based on travel experience- we were a party of 10 for 7 days. Needed more paper products pre-stocked. Really needed extra towels pre-stocked considering the climate and the number of adventures we did. Overall will recommend, comfortable stay.

We booked The Babette for my brother’s family of 6 and me. We were so happy with the spacious, large, and clean accommodations. I stayed upstairs and had the king bed/bathroom and access to both patios. My brother and his wife stayed in the room with the Queen bed (bathroom attached as well) and all four of my nephews staying in the room with two queen beds. There was water for us to drink, with a spare 5 gallon container and plenty of dishes to use (no dishwasher) for any food you want to make on your own. There aren’t laundry facilities but Melly, our host, let us know about Martha’s (a very short walk—maybe 3-4 blocks) and we dropped off two loads at 9am and were told to come back at 3 for them. It cost about 7 USD for each load. We loved this location. Everything was within walking distance. Super close to the market (across the park at the back of the house) and lots of restaurants to eat in, and tour companies. Mayawalk tours was 2 blocks down the same road from us—we used them for a couple tours. My nephews loved leaving on their own and heading to little times and markets to buy coke in the glass bottles. They were sad to leave The Babette and the town as this place felt safe and they liked leaving on their own for their own quick adventures. We absolutely loved our accommodations and the price we paid. It’s a great place to stay! Oh—AC units in every room that worked extremely well. Thanks, Melly! Our trip was perfect and partly bc of where we stayed!

We took our large family group of 9 to explore some Mayan sites and do the ATM cave tour. The location was perfect for that and to walk around San Ignacio. The location was central to town, the market and many restaurants. Being in town there was a little more noise at night so be prepared for that. A great place to stay. We will be back!

Great for a short stay!

Location is great, as it is close to the downtown area and the Guava Limb. AC worked well which was crucial as we were not acclimated to the hot humid weather. Filtered water is provided. Kitchenware is bare bones and no spices available but we weren’t there long and although we don’t normally eat every meal out, in this instance we did, as we were steps away from a variety of great restaurants.
