We stayed here on our first night in Costa Rica. Check in was easy, the hosts were very pleasant, and the breakfast was great (I'll never complain about fresh croissants and Costa Rican pineapple). The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The view was amazing... My kids loved eating breakfast on the balcony. Amazing stay, and a great start to our vacation.

Great place to stay the last night in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 close to the car rental return and airport. Safe, friendly owner (he speaks Spanish English & French), perfect lil breakfast before you travel home. I’ve stayed twice on my last night the last 2 trips and will stay there again my next trip.

Hotel Pibi Boreal was our first stop along our Costa Rican vacation and it certainly did not disappoint. Property is beautiful, rooms were very nice and clean, close to the airport, but felt like we were at an oasis away from it all. We were greeted by the owner and she could not have been more lovely. Breakfast was delivered right to our door and was delicious. Would definitely stay there again if we ever travel this way in the future!

It was a little hard at first to get here because it is a small out-of-the-way place that many taxi drivers had not heard of. However, once looking at an online map, it was easy to get to and very close to the airport - only 5 miles or so. It is a quiet spot, and the deck overlooking the trees is a wonderful place to have breakfast. The beds and linens are top quality, the bathroom is clean and new with a wonderful shower with plenty of hot water. I will consider staying here again.

Dear Stephen,Thank you for your feedback. Advice for any guest, taking a taxi in the airport. Always take a oficial taxo color orange, fair price, good service and they all know our place. Any Taxi taking you to the parking is ilegal, take more expensive, and they dont know our destination, or they mean they dont know to take you for a long ride. Outside the airport take an Uber, much more easy and good service.

Excellent service in this family-run bed and breakfast. After a long and late flight, the airport pick up was appreciated and to wake up with a beautiful view of a tropical garden and forest area was so much nicer than waking next to a highway at a typical airport hotel. We arranged for our rental car to be delivered to the property, so we were able to avoid the congested traffic of San Jose. Lovely continental breakfast with croissants and coffee.

D’une propreté exceptionnelle, on n’entendait que le son des oiseaux, j’ai vraiment adoré cet endroit. Le déjeuner était copieux et vraiment bon. De très bons hôtes. Je recommande fortement cette place. Bon spot pour dormir si vous voulez visiter Poas National Park et La Paz Waterfall.

Perfect first night in Costa Rica
Great place to stay for first night especially if you're looking for something more authentic than a hotel chain. The host made sure we got there safely from the airport even though we got in late and had delays with our baggage. In the morning we took a short walk on the property and saw leaf cutter ants! The host made sure we got pointed in the right direction on our way out. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed waking-up surrounded my nature. It was like getting a bonus day from our vacation as this is hotel is so close to the airport but it’s not an airport hotel. The owners are super friendly and the light breakfast was just what we needed.

This is a family run B&B - we arrived after midnight and they had arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport and they were awake and waiting for us on arrival to help settle us in and arrange a time for breakfast to be delivered in the morning. They went above and beyond to assist us and were very kind - 10 stars if I could :)

We had a really brilliant night here, very clean and comfy room, and the owners couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. They had great recommendations of places to go and restaurants and even dropped us off at a restaurant that night and sorted a taxi back. Lovely breakfast on the terrace too. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely serene retreat with just a few rooms... our hosts were patient with our arrival pick up and helped accommodate a late bag arrival the next morning, allowing us to stay extra time. The bungalow was clean, comfortable & perfect for our family of 4. Waking up to the Costa Rican rainforest outside our balcony was a treat with a yummy breakfast of croissants, jam, fruits & caffe. Thank you to these hosts.. what a nice way to be welcomed to Costa Rica versus staying in a chain hotel right next to the airport. Close but just far enough to escape the noise and be in nature.

I think most people use this as it’s really close to the airport but very quiet and it’s perfect for that. The owners will come and collect you from the airport (you need to message them beforehand, again when you are boarding your flight, when you land and again when you clear immigration, they then meet you outside). It’s clean, basic and extremely quiet, we barely heard any plane noise and it was totally silent and pitch black overnight. Lovely gardens to walk around in with hummingbirds. There’s no restaurant but they can sell you basic snacks or you can order in via a delivery app. Breakfast was nice - they bring it on a tray for you to eat on the terrace. Great choice

It was clean, friendly and helpfull. The beds ok, you can feel springs in matrass from 1 bed. Building was like temporary / cheap structure. Was ok for 1 night.

Dear Patricia, We are sorry for you.We will replace the bed mattress.Our rooms, as shown in the photos, have a floating floor on top of the trees. It is not a temporary structure, but an earthquake guaranteed structure, made of steel material.

This is a great getaway for couples or the individual looking to unplug and just enjoy nature. It is close to the airport but insulated from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff is kind and attentive to needs. You can still have food delivered but there isn't anything in walking distance. Catch a ride to Alajuela if you want to shop or be in a nightlife area.

Very quiet hotel since its a short drive away from the city hustle. Enjoyed our stay. We were a party of 5 and hotel was able to accommodate all of us with two queen and a comfortable futon. Following day we enjoyed breakfast (coffee, fruit, croissants) on the terrace overlooking trees delivered to your room. For dinner we ordered Uber eats since we arrived pretty late.
