BUYER BEWARE: Not well posted is that they charge a large resort fee for every day you’re there. Upon checkin, they tried to mitigate our surprise at this charge by saying part of the resort fee could be recouped because you got $45 per day toward the onsite bar or restaurant. The catch? You MUST use it on that day or you lose it. Oddly enough, you still swipe your card for the full amount, the $45 credit doesn’t get applied until you check out. So, when I inquire why they wouldn’t let us spread that over over our 5 nights there, the manager has no answer at all. It’s simply a counter-consumer policy, which has the practical effect of making you feel tied to trying to eat or drink at the restaurant at some point each and every day. You feel tethered and restrained. The end result would’ve been the same had they allowed the credits to apply across our stay, as we likely would’ve had a lavish dinner and lots of drinks on 2-3 nights. Instead, multiple days we lost that $45. It’s a needlessly bad policy with a highly-felt negative impact on us. Otherwise, a decent property that’s very well located. But unless/until they change that policy, we won’t stay here again.
