We were happy when we first arrived, though after 20 mins the electricity shut off, for 2,5 hours, in dark with kids, the team did respond real fast and the tech came by to fix the emergency light that didn’t work. Positives: - The view is very nice - the grounds are greener than on the pics - the house is quite large and rooms have good bathrooms, but villa 8 second bedroom is separate, weird! - the furnishing is nice wood, well...

'Nestled into the nature preserve. We were there at the start of the offseason. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the view was epic. The pool area and restaurant were amazing. We plan on coming back someday to Costa Rica and if on the Pacific side we will spend more days here. Can’t recommend this place enough.'

'The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but...

'Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the bungalow. Balcony view breath taking. Seafood rice in their restaurant was fantastic as was the free breakfast the next morning. We did the zip line the next day. Not for the faint of heart but well worth it.'

'The Best Western Zima Hotel was the best hotel on our journey!! Thanks to the staff, the manager Rico and Santiago, we felt really at home and welcome. They made extra efforts to help us with everything we needed. Our visacard didn't work the first day, everybody was so kind and they really helped us!! Also everybody from the staff made extra efforts to care and help us with any question or wish we had!! And everything with a big smile!! '

'We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. '
