'needed a well needed rest after a busy year.After a long search of hotels around york we found this beautiful cottage just outside york,and needless to say it was just what we needed.lovely cottaged estate.we booked the 3 bedroomed cottage,fairview i think it was called.beautiful inside and out.no expense spared on the inside,very relaxing.we are already thinking about booking next year.would highly recommend.'

'Never stay here. Was filthy looked like a crack house no communication at all. Had to find somewhere else last minute for 5 people as I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in this house! '

'Super cosy cottage with everything you could wish for. Super communication from Sue who kindly informed us that we were able to check in earlier than expected. Extremely comfortable and clean. Lovely village with amenities and buses to York. Park and ride option just a short drive away by a great designer outlet. The little touches including the milk and biccies were also very much appreciated. My only issue was forgetting my phone charger (when will i learn???!!!!) Thank you for a lovely...

'Excellent stay, however a couple of observations. A broom or dustpan would have been useful to keep tidy. Missed having a table and chairs, obviously you have your reasons but a fold up could be a compromise '

'Everything expected and more for a short break in York. Wonderfully appointed location, few minutes walking and ypu are in the heart of historic York. Serenity Inn the City matched tge description and photographs posted, excellent communication from the owner. '

'The property is in a great location, but is not kept in a great shape. Beds were super uncomfortable, you cold feel the mattress springs pooking you. The bathroom really need basic updates, a clean, mold free shower curtains would be enough '

'We, an elderly couple from the Netherlands, had early December. a very nice stay in the Old Coach House at Burythorpe in a remote area. The owners do everything to let you feel at home. Everything you need is there and even more.'

'SCAM!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Paid for my sons birthday weekend away (4y.o) drove 2.5 hours to get here and the host didnt send us entry code to the apartment so couldnt get in. Expedia confirmed all booking, tried to contact the host but blocking my calle. Texts delivered and left voicemails asking to call us but had no reply. Took our money and put a case with expedia and they refused to refund ao had to contact fraud department with my bank and pay for a hotel late at night instead!! Ruined...

'Perfect stay lovely setup and everything you need '

'Sheets had big stain on , floor was in need of a vacuum, hairs in bathroom, furniture had rips in, stains on carpet, car parking space was tiny, we were kept awake on both night by noise and partying in other apartments. The shower was barely warm and went cold after one person had showered. Wouldn't stay again, over priced and begrudge paying a cleaning charge when it's not clean.'

Prettig hotel en vriendelijk personeel

"Prettig hotel. Kamersleutel nodig om lift te bedienen en trappenhuis te openen vanaf begane grond. Dat vind ik een prima beveiliging, hoewel niet waterdicht. Engels ontbijt, mag wat meer continentaal. Vriendelijk personeel. Schoonmaak goed. We hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad."
