Perfect place for R&R
This is my second stay and will be coming back. Perfect place for R&R. I love the fun wildlife sightings and snuggling up next the the cozy fire as it was a bit cooler in the morning and evenings on this trip. Beautiful property with and kitchenette with everything you need.

A very nice out-of-the-way location. Property manager was very helpful and returned messages very promptly. Gorgeous property. Loved the creek. A very relaxing quiet stay. My wife loved it and said that I did good. We would definitely stay again.

Great Getaway!
The yurt was thoughfully furnished with a comfortable bed. The location was about 20-25 minutes from Sandpoint. We enjoyed the beautiful location, and the creek on the property was a special treat! We would stay here again.

Amazing Secluded Experience
Wonderful forested property, perfect for a couples getaway. Yurt is nicely appointed with many items not found in hotels. Lots of pots, pans, dishes, linens. Even a fire starting kit full of matches, tinder, newspaper and wood. Woke up one more to a family of deer playing tag with each other 10 feet away from the yurt. Magical!

Great place to relax, unplug, and unwind. Everything you need if you want to stay in for the entire weekend and prep your own food. Approximately half an hour to town, If you want to dine out. This property can offer you the best of both worlds.

The air was great having all the windows open at night. Didn’t know if it was a bear or moose walked at night. I’m glad our dog didn’t bark at that time. Having compost toilet next to your bed was a convenient. Overall, it’s a cute place.

Tranquil Getaway
This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I to celebrate his 50th birthday. We were able to completely shut down & enjoy the beauty & peace of the surroundings. The yurt had everything you would need for a glamping experience. The wood stove was efficient, the bed was comfortable and warm, and there was a coffee maker. We enjoyed the hillbilly hot tub experience as well :)

Summer Yurt getaway
My husband, our dog and I spent a week in this fantastic yurt. It has everything we expected and more. The yurt was outfitted in a cute yet very functional way. But outside was our favorite, either the 2 person hammock, the creek,, the front porch and chairs or the hillbilly hot tubs. We liked them all. Secluded yet within minutes to a food and stores. Escape to the Forest
This is a beautiful, serene piece of heaven!! Enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely make it a yearly tradition. All you need is your clothes and some food and you are on your way to paradise! The owners have pretty much provided everything else you need no matter if it is sunny or snowing. If hiking isn't your thing, you can play the huge selection of games or you can enjoy watching movies, listening to music, or choose from a selection of reading material, all provided by the hosts. Not your average "State Park camp hosts". They are so much better! You can choose to socialize with them or you can reserve the yurt and be left totally alone with nature. Either way, the hosts have fantastic recommendations of where to eat, where to hike, or what to do during your stay here! Dogs are welcome to enjoy their own piece of heaven too! A hidden gem that is the perfect distance from reality. Thank you Janice & Roger Dugid for offering your yurt to others to enjoy. It quickly became my favorite place to "glamp".

This place is amazing! The way everything is set up is perfect. Each area inside the Yurt is just perfect. We had a blast doing the “Hillbilly Spa”. The grill is charcoal so bring some or there is a table top propane grill. Bring small bottles if you want to use that instead. Bring starter fluid & wood if you want to enjoy fires. They also have lots of movies to pick from. One evening we watched a funny movie before bed in the “family room” area on the very comfy couch.

Capturing the beauty and spirit of Idaho

The location is remote and feels very safe. The yurt was nicely appointed -- everything we needed in a very clever choice of furnishings. The many surprise locations outside are fun to find. The creek is clean for the dogs to play and cool off. Lots to do and see in the area.

Loved our stay at the yurt. Very secluded and quiet. Amenities were great. Definitely a trek from town. Temperature swings in the yurt were pretty extreme with 95+ degree days and 60 degree nights. Toilet situation was fine for us but might challenge the less adaptable. Thanks for a nice stay.

If you love the outdoors but want to keep some modern amenities
Property is beautiful, we did not see another person until we walked down the road and met the couple that owned the yurt. It was often silent with the sound of the creek flowing in the background. What is there? Everything needed to cook. Pots, pants, utensils, tupperware, coffee pot, kettle, fridge, and so many more. Just bring your food! Fire stove was nice to keep us warm although there is a wall heater. If you want to have a fire every night, use the wood stove, and heat the spa tubs. Then I would recommend coordinating with the owners to buy more wood, OR having a hatchet to chop some wood from the woods. They do have well water so you may want some purified water gallons for drinking. There is a composting toilet inside, and a porta potty outside. Whatever your preference is. Composting toilet was a little different but zero smell. We used it 90% of the time. Small TV with some movies when you want to relax, bring DVDs of your own if you want. Small shower outside, very clean! We LOVED the spa tubs. It was quite the work you fill the tubs from the creek and heat them with the fire under. But what was the rush? We felt very comfortable using them, literally no one was around. Once hot to our liking we put the fire out a little, not all the way. Kept our tubs hot for almost 2 hours. Service for us was spotty so a little hard to send a text when checked in. We were so sad to leave, already looking to come back.

Paradise in Idaho
The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a quiet dream world. The owners have turned this lovely forest and meadow into a paradise. They have thought of everything to make this property inviting and joyful. The yurt is amazing! There is every comfort imaginable including a bed as soft as a cloud. The decor is charming, and everything is designed for peaceful enjoyment. There is a cute shower shack with lots of hot water and a great view out of the window. We loved this piece of paradise and plan to go again!

Loved the property, yurt, shower shack, and the feel of all the little things set up to make it feel so magical and whimsical. From the lit path to the little sitting areas and the just right amount of kitchen set up for our stay. And we did use the tubs, once we got a rhythm together of filling the water buckets and the tubs as a two person production.... it wasn't as hard as we though it would be. We would love to make it back again someday.
