Started out with a generic easy-to-guess passcode for the door, which we kindly asked if the host would be able to update that to something more unique that only the current guests would know, even if remotely (like most wifi locks?), but the host said they were already out of town. Mind you, it was 30 minutes before checkout time on the day we were to arrive. Then, we get there and it turns out the manual lock didn't even work, and when he finally gets a handyman out there it apparently wasn't even properly installed to where that lock had EVER actually closed, and we were lucky to notice it. Never an apology or even acknowledgement for the lack of security and peace of mind. Very poor communication and assistance from the host in general, even before any issues. The only professional, kind, and helpful messages we got from them were the automated ones. The things we wouldn't have mentioned if not for the lock situation: lots of living and dead bugs inside, the listing pictures are outdated & from other properties, the riverside is inaccessible, and we found the bed horribly uncomfortable and stiff. It's decorated cute, but nowhere near worth the price at all.
