Heerlijke rust in een prachtige oase
Dit hotel biedt in het naseizoen heerlijke rust ver weg van de drukkere stad. Er waren weinig gasten zo eind augustus/begin september. Een prachtige bloeiende botanische rijkdom en alles van natuursteen en gelijkvloers maakt dat het hotel opgaat in het landschap. De kamertjes liggen allemaal om de zwembaden heen. De airco op de kamer is een verademing. Kamer was gewoon netjes en schoon en veel meer heb je niet nodig. Wel vervelend voor de langslapers is dat onze kamer toevallig op de start route was voor de schoonmaaksters en ze soms al om 8.15 uur op je deur bonzen of je hoort de karretjes voorbij ratelen over de stenen en met veel rumoer de kamer van je buren uitmesten en dan doe je geen oog meer dicht... Het ontbijt was verrukkelijk en van alles om uit te kiezen, avond eten vrij prijzig voor wat je krijgt. Wij aten regelmatig in restaurantjes verderop in de straat.

Geweldig hotel, 3 zwembaden,1 voor volwassenen,1 voor volwassenen met kinderen en 1 bij de welness met afgesloten tuin. Ontbijt zeer goed , buiten op terras in de tuin. Heerlijke veranda bij je hotelkamer c.q. bungalow (alles laagbouw) met ligbedden en een zitje. Enige minpuntje:badkamer is aan renovatie toe, wij moesten douchen in het bad. Overall happy with our stay but…
We spent two nights at this wonderful property. Beautiful setting and hotel blends in nicely with the surrounding. We received a nice welcome when checking in but service throughout our stay was not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was particularly uninspiring. The price per night was very reasonable so I would still recommend it based on the comfort and beautiful setting.

Disappointing
Although rated 5 star, it was rather run down and in urgent need of refurbishment. Our room had a missing shelf in shower. but bathroom was generally in need of modernising as shower itself was still wirh cubicle. The worst thing was the broken and rusty ladder at the Lido. I cut myself against it and had to take a tetanus booster. The capsules of Nespresso machine in room were not the original but of an inferior brand. Breakfast was not typical of a 5 star hotel as it lacked good cheeses (only processed was available), there was no prosciutto crudo or genuine cakes.The general upkeep of the premises was also poor with the Maltese stone in all areas needing cleaning as it was no longer white and clean. At check out, we had to ask for receipt of payment, although it had already been taken from our card and we were not asked how our stay went.

Simply the best!
This is our favourite hotel in the world! It has recently been upgraded with beautiful gardens and redecorated bedrooms. Very comfy beds- I checked out the mattress to see if I can buy one- called Windsor but made in Malta! Another lovely stay with much use of the beautiful spa pool and lovely breakfasts outdoors by the carob tree, with very friendly cats as well! The best relaxing place ever…oh and great evening meals too!

Ta Cenc is a wonderful place to relax. In spite of stormy weather we had a great time; the spa pool is well heated and a lovely setting, and the food was excellent. We have been staying here for 8 years but never in the winter before. The experience was just as enjoyable as on a summer’s day. We’ll be back again in the spring! Ps we love the friendly cats!

A fabulous place to stay, the staff are so helpful and friendly while giving you enough space to enjoy the serene surroundings. The only drawback to the whole place are the en suite bathrooms which are tired and in my case had a shower that didn’t work well.

This hotel does by far not meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. (we had to change room twice because of black hairs in the bed and pillows, clear lack of staff, beach unclean, locked inside the beach after 16H30 pm, shuttle service not existent). Nevertheless, the beach and nature surrounding the hotel is unique. Staff was very friendly and tried their best with the resource available to them. We will be looking for better alternatives in Gozo next year.

Upon checkin I asked for a room upgrade seeing the hotel was pretty empty and the receptionist abruptly told me ‘I don’t give upgrades’ without even looking up at me. The room was very basic for the price I paid. Mattress were two singles joined together and all night we kept falling in the middle, which made them open up and had me sinking in the middle! No room service menu in the room, so I called for one and it never arrived! The sunbeds were so uncomfortable that the wooden frame would plunge in your back that it hurt to lay on them and they were filthy with no towels available to put on them. The breakfast was as basic as can be! We ordered some nibbles with our drinks and they never arrived either. I don’t know how this hotel is 5 star with such bad service and mediocre finishing as and ambience. Definitely not worth the $200 a night we paid! We left very disappointed for what was supposed to be a quick luxury weekend getaway, I definitely don’t recommend it!

Das Hotel verfügt über eine sehr schöne Inneneinrichtung und ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal. Ganz im erstaunlichen Gegensatz dazu befindet sich die restliche Anlage in einem ungepfegten Zustand. Überall wächst Unkraut hoch, die Liegen am Pool und im Spa sind schmutzig, in der Dampfsauna des eigentlich schönen Spa-Bereichs fällt der Putz von der Decke. Das wir in der Nebensaison dort waren darf nicht als Entschuldigung gelten, für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel war das enttäuschend. Die Ta Cenc Klippen sind in 10 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Achtung: Wir haben bei der Buchung für 39€ pro Person und Abend Halbpension dazugebucht, das 3-Gänge-Menü vor Ort kostete aber nur 33€ pro Person, also besser Sie zahlen das Abendessen in der Unterkunft.

Charming character property. Lots of flowers in the garden, good swimming pools. The nearby cove is nice, but quite a tough walk in the sun - would recommend having a car. Lots of parking. Large room, with nice bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was weak. Staff shortages meant some facilities were shut and the hotel relied on a fall back excuse of covid-19, when it didn't appear to have anything to do with covid. We couldn't get into the restaurant in the evening - again supposedly "Covid-19" to blame, there are lots of restaurants in two nearest towns - roughly 5km away - so you will need a car. Those restaurants were not suffering from staff shortages and Covid-19 closures.

Wenn man sich 5 Sterne Hotel nennt und entsprechende Preise verlangt, muss man den Gästen dafür auch etwas bieten. Unser Zimmer grenzte an die Hotelküche mit entsprechender Geräuschbelastung, Frühstück ist für ein 5-Sterne Hotel unter aller Sau (keine Regionalprodukte, keine Spezialitäten, extrem geringe Auswahl). Wasser, Tee, Kaffee wurden beim täglichen Service nie aufgefüllt. 3 Tage vor der Ankunft hat das Hotel versucht die als Sicherheit hinterlegte Kreditkarte mit dem vollen Betrag zu belasten - ging natürlich nicht, darauf hin ist die Reservierung fast geplatzt. Vielleicht ist solches Vorgehen üblich für die Region, aber definitiv nicht üblich für 5 Sterne Hotels.

The Hotel was very nice. I travelled with my 8 year old son and my mother. There are 3 pools and the children are allowed to use only the family pool. However it’s a big pool and there is definitely no draw back. The adult pool is only for the adults. In terms of location: The hotel itself is on the island of Gozo so not on Malta. If you are more interested in exploring Malta, Valetta, Mdina, it’s better to stay on Malta because otherwise like us you pay a lot for transport to get to the ferry’s. That’s about 25 Euros each way. There is a bus stop by the hotel but be aware that the bus comes just every hour. The bus fair is 2 euros and it will take you to Victorija where you will have to change the bus to get to wherever you want to go. It is possible that you will miss the other bus and will have to wait another hour. Taxi was the better option for us. The hotel is secluded and there is not much around it. If you like peace and quiet, then the hotel may be for you. You will have an excellent view onto the ocean from the property. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We ate at their restaurant a few times and the food was very good. The breakfast is buffet style however due to covid the staff now serves the food at the buffet which can take some time. Overall, We don’t regret staying at the hotel. It was a pleasant stay.

Die großzügige Anlage !! Wunderschönes SPA mit wunderschöner geheizter Innenpool der nach draußen führte.. 2 Außenpool- für Familie und eins der nur für Erwachsene zugelassen ist .. essen gut .. Frühstücken kann man wunderschön im Garten.. leider zur Zeit kein buffet ..

Wegen Corona-Lockdown keine Nutzung von Spa und Pool möglich. Info erst vor Ort...dennoch gleicher Preis. Schöne Hotelanlage in schöner Lage und freundliches Personal. Das Bad des Zimmers ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen...einem 4-5 Sterne Hotel nicht angemessen.

Overall stay was good, we received the welcome drink on the checkout after seven days, room is very nice, we had to change room due AC not cooling. due Spa not welcoming, food in the Beach restaurant is amazing however the hotel restaurant is less better and can improve , the hotel restaurant staff are very good. The hotel staff seems to be lazy not really energized to give you 5 stars experience. Its definitely 4 stars not 5 stars hotel, management really needs to change the welcoming experience. Need to nake sure AC is really cooling.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff
Very relaxing and calm - from the pictures you might think this hotel is directly on the beach which is in fact 3km away. The hotel is happy to book a cab for you (in the hotels.com description it says free beach shuttle - however that was not the case). Breakfast is a bit poor for a 5 star hotel - but staff is very friendly.

The Hotel is spread over a big area, as all the property is only single story. It has a village feel about it. It is a very quiet location, but as Gozo is small , everywhere is easy to get to. The natural Buff coloured stone makes the resort look a bit tired, but the staff, food and facilities are very good.

I will definitely return!
The hotel is amazing. We loved every minute of our stay. The premises are beautiful and so calm and serene. The place is ideal to unwind and recharge. The spa has an indoor pool which extends to an outdoor heated pool which is grand. The room was beautifully decorated, however, it seems like the room was refurbished but the bathroom left in a previous state. The bathtub and bath glass screen are outdated, but in reality they served their purpose. The location is in the country side and there are lovely places to go for a walk. They have their own private beach with a restaurant called Il-Kantra which one must definitely visit both for the scenery and the food. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. Oh and the staff are really nice too!
