Cute and cozy
Comfy bed, awesome shower head. Plenty of dishes and everything in the kitchen worked. Has a toaster, coffee maker and a bunch of baking necessities. Lots of towels, and paper goods. It’s not fancy or newly renovated, but value for the price was there, and like I said- everything works. The front fenced in area for the dogs was crucial, and the dog loved it.

Jody was fantastic. Critique I have is house could be a little cleaner. Dust and dirt under couch and bed. Some dishes and silverware were dirty. Mold in shower, large hole in bathroom, plastic cover on cabinet needs to be replaced and it would be nice if it had a garbage disposal. House is in need of TLC.

Pet Friendly Option next to the Coast!
Location is fantastic, only 1.5 blocks from the cliffs/ocean and walking path. On-site parking was nice since the street it is on tends to be pretty full. The place is small but perfect for 2 people. If you bring a dog, the yard is in the front of the cottage and the fence is low and could easily be jumped. The cottage shares walls with neighbors on both sides and the loosely fenced front yard on one side. Pet-wise, It was a good stay if your dog is fairly well behaved (like the post says!).

A pleasant surprise
Such a lovely neighborhood, much quieter than I expected. The location on 30th is a main through street to the point, so more traffic than others nearby, but still very quiet in the evenings. One improvement is a new umbrella stand (it's nice to sit in the front yard in the evening, but umbrella makes a difference) - it won't stay put with the broken one now. Wish I would have stayed longer even though I was there 8 nights - felt like home right away, and the other tenants were very nice.

This cottage couldn’t have been in a better location. Walks to the cliff side beaches, skateboarding around town. It was the highlight of my trip. The cottage was cozy, clean, and the perfect beach vibe. I’ll be back for sure and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great little getaway.

Pictures were not representative of the condition of the property. Perhaps those pictures were taken in another one of the other two units on the property or are from a few years ago. The place badly needs a facelift... even as little as a paint job would go a long way. The poor lighting in every room made the situation even worse, adding to the dingy feeling of the cottage. The kitchen and the bathroom were extremely dated; pieces of the interior of the fridge were literally cracking or falling off; the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom needs to be replaced; the edges of the furniture, the mirror, the shower door, etc are all worn looking. Not the nicest street in the area, either. Everything just felt a bit dated, depressing or disappointing from the moment we pulled into Santa Cruz from the highway. Fortunately we spent very little time in the cottage over the 3 night stay (we were there barely more than 48 hours total from checkin to checkout, and were gone pretty much all day both days). We would not use the kitchen... literally did not eat a meal at the cottage during our 3 night stay; at least the bathroom and the sheets felt clean. Owner needs to put in a little effort. (p.s. I'm a landlord myself)

Great Beach Adjacent Cottage
This unit had a great beach cottage feel. The unit was clean and bug free. Great walking access to beach and local neighborhood store. The grill worked great and the front yard provided a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by. Noise from other units was minimal. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, so so house
Pleasure point itself was great, lots of surfers, cute town, and great water walk .2 miles away. The front yard is nice (needs umbrella for shade) and the house was “ok”. House is small, the Bed was noisy and here is no place for luggage so we had to keep it in the small living room which was awkward. You can walk to some good restaurants which was great. Best part of was the location near the surfing beach. We even saw a whale which was cool!

Santa Cruz is always busy and driving in neighborhoods are challenging to say the least, but the location of this home is three blocks to the ocean one way, three blocks to the park the other, and half a mile to a few restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Home clean small quaint and perfect for us and our pup.

Quiet Location, yet close to everything
Very well appointed accommodations, lots of dishes, pots and pans, etc. Even some spices and olive oil. Made it easy to settle in. Very dog friendly space, nice fenced in area with artificial grass and a table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Everything was in perfect working order and the location is quiet even with the proximity to the ocean/beach. Truly felt liike a "home".

Wonderful neighborhood and close to several beaches. Wonderful walks and very dog friendly!
We were thrilled to find Pleasure Point two blocks away and the “Point” store had great meals and we fell in love with the “fat” burritos. One of the most restful and relaxing vacays!! Reading in the yard. Taking four walks a day. Napping every afternoon! Cooking most of our own meals was great. Advice: replace the cake pan and the four quart aluminum pot. Both were scorched beyond cleaning. The couch sinks when you sit on it and old folks hate trying to stand up when your knees are higher than your waste line. Please clean the grill as I created a pretty big smoke screen trying to burn the grease off. Otherwise, we will be back. Really good value for such an ideal location. P.S. although you had a beach umbrella, one for the backyard would be wonderful for our afternoon book reading sessions!

Great spot near the waves!
Just a couple blocks from Pleasuse Point in a quiet neighborhood, so this was a wonderful headquarters for our Santa Cruz adventures. Excellent communication from hosts, a nice little spot that we would def stay in again!

If you are big bodied…it’s fine.
Overall it’s good place to crash for a few nights. All amenities were provided and the space was clean. I’m a 300lb big bodied person and am sharing a review for other larger bodied people. The couch is only about 18” high and getting up and down off the couch was a slight challenge, though doable. If you have bad knees, you may prefer to pull a kitchen chair into the TV area. The patio furniture has metal arms and a narrower seat, so if you are bigger in the hips and thighs, you may not be comfortable with hot metal pressing into your legs. The shower is a small corner unit and leaves little room for bigger bodies to move around easy, but was fine for 300lbs. The bed is very hard and supports heavier bodies well. Overall a pretty decent place for a big body for a few days to crash, but wouldn’t be comfortable for a longer stay, IMO. (FYI for owners: Skillets and cutting boards are pretty damaged and could be replaced easily)

VERY tiny and compact. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues (fridge light out and toilet seat bolt broken. but otherwise it was efficient, quiet and lovely. Perfect for one or two persons. Lovely neighborhood and close to everything.
