Geniet van een zeldzame kans om te verblijven in een van de meest historische huizen in Grayton Beach - The Smith House. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd in 1925, biedt onze recente renovatie het huis alle moderne gemakken met behoud van de ware zuidelijke charme van "Old Grayton".

Het Smith House ligt in het hart van het leuke en funky Grayton Beach en wordt omgeven door een weelderig landschap met volwassen eiken, magnolia's en palmbomen. Het biedt een privéoase voor gasten die alles willen ... een gemakkelijke wandeling naar 's werelds mooiste strand als en een vredig toevluchtsoord om elke dag te beginnen en eindigen.

Het huis heeft gewelfde plafonds en zichtbare balken en is ingericht in vintage Florida-stijl. De keuken is volledig uitgerust met alles wat u nodig heeft om een ​​gastronomische maaltijd te bereiden. De grote slaapkamer heeft een comfortabel queensize bed en de kamer met een dubbel stapelbed heeft 2 extra lange stapelbedden voor zowel kinderen als volwassenen. Het huis heeft meerdere "slimme" tv's en betrouwbare draadloze internetdiensten.

De badkamer biedt een wastafel met 2 wastafels en een bad / douche en een extra wastafel in de voetstuk bevindt zich in de gang buiten de badkamer. Maar de "gastfavoriet" is de volledig afgesloten buitendouche die grenst aan de veranda. Ruim en privé en uitgerust met warm en koud water, kunnen bezoekers genieten van de luxe van het douchen in de natuur onder een bladerdak van eiken en magnolia's.

En de veranda ... Het is het beste deel van het huis, zeker! De veranda, die de lengte van het hoofdgebouw verlengt en zich omwikkelt met de buitendouche, bestaat uit 2 comfortabele zithoeken, een rustieke cipressen eettafel en een comfortabel ligbed om te lezen en te ontspannen. Net buiten de veranda is een groot eigen stenen geplaveid terras met een picknicktafel, stoelen, een hangmat en Weber houtskoolgrill. Dimbare overheadpatrijlichten creëren een unieke en mooie eetervaring buiten!

In de buitenhuis staan ​​3 gratis strandfietsen en een grote wagen vol met strandspullen die je nodig hebt: 3 stoelen, een grote paraplu, koeler en strandvlotten en speelgoed. Na een dag op het strand te hebben doorgebracht, gebruiken gasten vaak de fietsen om de aangrenzende strandplaatsen in de late namiddag te verkennen. 'S Avonds wandelt u gemakkelijk naar het wereldberoemde restaurant Red Bar en enkele andere uitstekende eetgelegenheden.

A Sweet Spot by the Sea

Smith House was an absolute dream! Kelly and Billy were the most amazing hosts and have the house stocked with everything you might need during your stay. The screened-in patio was our favorite spot for breakfast in the mornings and peaceful evenings after a day at the beach! Such a sweet and charming home - we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Vacation House

The Smith House was perfect for our Grayton stay. The home house so much character, while also having all the amenities of home. We loved the exposed wood beams, cozy wraparound porch, and outdoor shower. Everything was clean, and the communication with the owner was superb. The location was great—an easy walk to Grayton restaurants and the beach. We will definitely be staying again!

Lovely House in a great location

We loved the house – it has so much more charm than the cookie-cutter new builds and we were impressed that there have been only 3 owners in it's 100 year history! Kelly has done a great job of maintaining all of it's original character but with all modern amenities. It was well stocked with things such as spices, coffee filters, etc. And Kelly left us a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers! The house works well for a couple or a family of four but I would not recommend it for 2 couples as the 2nd bedroom is pretty small and has twin beds.The outside area is awesome but unfortunately we didn't really get to use it as we were there in cold weather – in fact it snowed our last day there - the infamous snow of January 2025. We were able to use the bikes quite a few times our first few days before it got too cold. The bikes were great for getting to some of the other communities but there is quite a few good restaurants and bars within walking distance too. Would definitely stay here again!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Kelly's beautiful home for four nights, and it exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were perfect for us, especially our 2-year-old, who loved running around the spacious front porch, dancing to the music on the radio. My family was extremely happy with the accomodations. Kelly has done an outstanding job with decorating the home and it feels so cozy. Additionally, everything you could possibly want in a kitchen was included and the rooms, bath and living area were great as well. Staying in early August I was a little concerned about the AC keeping us cool at night but was pleasantly surprised that it worked great our entire stay. All in all, my family had an excellent stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful Old Florida Beach Property

Every single aspect of our stay at Smith House was excellent. The home is a wonderful old style beach cottage with updated conveniences and comfortable furnishings. Everything you need is there, except your swimsuit and phone + charger. The owners couldn't be more thoughtful in preparing the house or more helpful in communicating about what to expect.The adjectives I think of for Smith House are: Gracious, comfortable, perfect for summer or winter relaxing away from the maddening crowd. The beach/ocean also cooperated for our stay offering days of fun in the sun and serf. Lots of good eating and fun within walking distance. I can't think of a thing I would change.

Wonderful charming house. Can't wait to return.

This is our 5th vacation to 30A but first time at Grayton Beach. Smith House is the best, and we can’t wait to go back. Communication with the owner was the best we have ever experienced in our many years of renting on VRBO across the country. The beach wagon was perfect and enabled us to walk to the beach and then travel down the beach with the 4 chairs, a shelter, our cooler, and some toys to find a quiet area to set up. (This takes some serious effort on the white powdery sand, but it’s well worth it if you enjoy having the beach to yourself.) The two bikes were in good shape, and we explored the bike trails from Seaside to Blue Mountain. And, having a shed to store all the toys was very nice. The outdoor shower was perfect after a day at the beach. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the large screened porch with good fans to keep us cool. We enjoyed lunch on the patio picnic table. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house itself was very comfortable with nice furniture and decorations. The lighting was plentiful inside and outside when we needed it but relaxing in the evenings. I was very impressed with how clean it was when we arrived. Expectations: DeFuniak St. and the gravel road behind Smith House can get a little noisy with happy people walking home from the beach area until around 11:00 PM or so. After that, it’s very quiet. If you like to be in bed early, a white noise machine solves the problem.
