Perfect huis met zwembad in mooie natuurlijke omgeving
Zeer ruim huis met alle benodigde faciliteiten. Zeer koel waardoor airco niet nodig is. Heel grappig is dat ´s nachts af en toe een zwijn door de tuin loopt. Wij zagen ook een hertje vroeg in de ochtend. Bij een avondwandeling zie je veel vuurvliegjes. Je bent echt midden in de natuur, maar toch gewoon aan de rand van het dorp. Enorm veel ruimte en privacy rondom het huis inclusief een goed onderhouden zwembad. Sassello op loopafstand om ´s ochtends een lekkere koffie te gaan drinken. Knus centrum. Check ook wanneer er markt is. Dichtbij mooi natuurreservaat Beigua voor mooie wandelingen. Tripjes naar Genua en het strand zijn prima te doen. Fijne week gehad, voor het hele gezin. Excellent contact met de beheerder en zijn gezin.

Heerlijke rustige locatie voorzien van alle gemakken
Deze zeer ruime woning ligt helemaal afgelegen van de bewoonde wereld. Voorzien van alle ruimte om lekker tot rust te komen. Het huis is ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. De ontvangst door de gastheer en vrouw was hartelijk en zijn zeer behulpzaam. In de buurt (Sassello) zijn voldoende winkels voor je dagelijkse boodschappen, supermarkt en strand zijn een klein halfuurtje rijden.

Lovely house, beautiful surrounding
Lovely House in beautiful surroundings. Dawn is a great communicator and Tomasso a good host. We saw deer and wild boar in the garden. The village makes for a nice morningwalk plus cappuccino. The only disadvantage is the nearby road which was pretty loud in the weekend.

Very pleasant surprise
We didn’t really know what to expect. The dormice and wild boar gave is the idea of a farmhouse. We did see wild boar and deer (and heard the dormice), but the house was lovely and very comfortable! Dawn gave us good tips and lots of information. Tomasso helped us very well in Sassello. We had a wonderful time and will happily return to this beautiful house in a very special town!!!

Very good
Beautifull, spacious house in the lovely village Sassello. We especially enjoyed the rivier. The house has everything you need and certainly very good beds! 25 minutes to go to the beach, 5 minutes by car to the village,8 minutes walk to buy bread and on the way we passed a dear! The kids loved the upper space with a Tv, video, games, ,footballtable.

Super vakantie gehad
Het huis was zeer ruim, ongelooflijk netjes, met smaak gedecoreerd? We voelden ons direct thuis. We verbleven maar een week, een maand had beter geweest ;-). Alles is ruim aanwezig om zelf te koken. Een grote tuin en terras om de maaltijden te nuttigen, te rusten aan het zwembad of .. Mooie directe omgeving om te wandelen fietsen, uitstapjes te maken naar zee (wandel zeker de "Passeggiata Lungomare Europa" af) en ga (schuim)wijn proeven bij "Borgo Maragliano te Loazzolo". Een absolute aanrader!

ZEER SLECHT!!
Het zoeken naar de woning was al een probleem: Nergens stond aangeschreven waar de woning stond. (alleen de weg was aangegeven) Een toevallige voorbijganger kon ons helpen. Vervolgens bleek dat de woning volledig was afgesloten. Middels verschillende telefoontjes bleek dat niemand (eigenaar of Homeway??) wist dat wij geboekt hadden. In de avond kwam er een dame uit het dorp het huis alsnog schoonmaken!!!! Dat was nog niet gebeurd sinds de vorige gasten. De volgende dag kwam een heer de buitenzijde van de woning in orde maken, zoals tuinstoelen neerzetten en zwembad schoonmaken. Dit hebben wij nog nooit eerder meegemaakt en we vinden dat wij hierdoor toch gedupeerd zijn. Zeer slechte aanvang van onze vakantie. Graag willen wij een reactie van uw organisatie op dit verhaal. U zou ons bijvoorbeeld op zijn minst een redelijke en passende vergoeding kunnen geven voor deze misplaatste welkom(!) Met een vriendelijke groet Joop Steeman

Dear Joop, it was a most unfortunate and uncharacteristic error on our part, as I explained when we spoke on the phone. This has NEVER happened before, as communications between HomeAway and me has always been very clear, however on this occasion I was at fault. I had hoped that our immediate response to fix the problem was satisfactory. And having spoken with you numerous times on the phone, you have stated that, apart from the arrival, you subsequently had a great holiday. I had understood that our payment for you to have a meal in a nearby restaurant was accepted in good faith. So I was rather surprised to see your review. To set the record straight, we were able to respond immediately following your call. Our excellent housekeeper (not just a lady from the village) came down straight away to give you immediate access and prepared the house to the high standards that we always maintain. Our highly experienced house manager, with a long background in hospitality, did everything he could to make you as welcome as possible. The house is down a private road and it is the norm for our guests to receive detailed directions, a list of useful things to do in the area and instructions about the house: unfortunately we did not get this to you in advance, but we sent it to you on your arrival day. It is a shame you did not get in touch in advance of your holiday to request it. That is one of the main reasons I leave all my contact details on the website so you can ask for any help or assistance should you have any concerns. We communicated clearly what had happened and expressed how sorry we felt; you were in no way duped. We dealt promptly with all your questions and any concerns during your stay. You emailed me after your holiday and stated that, “We had a good time, except of course the welcome ceremony.” Sassello is of course a wonderful place to visit. Kind regards Dawn

mooi huis op een fraaie locatie in de bergen
Wij zijn twee weken verbleven in dit huis, gelegen nabij het nationaal Park Mte Begiua. Het huis is mooi gelegen met een grote tuin. Aangezien het natuurpark zo vlakbij is, wemelt het van de everzwijnen en herten! Het huis is praktisch en zeer volledig uitgerust. Nabij is een riviertje (met waterval) waar je heerlijk in kunt poedelen. Het is direct bereikbaar vanuit de tuin van het huis! Erg idyllisch. Enige dissonant is de weg naar Sassello die niet zichtbaar maar wel degelijk hoorbaar is. Sassello zelf is een schattig klein dorpje op loopafstand, waar zich leuke winkeltjes, een goede slager en pizzeria bevindt. Trattoria Vittoria is een aanrader.

Beautiful Sassello
We have spent 2 weeks in the most wonderful surroundings. The property offered total privacy, beautiful landscapes, while the proximity of Sassello, a vibrant little place, allowed us easy access to local shops and restaurants. The wild meadows around the pool are breathtaking, and the stream at the bottom of the property had a daily visit and was most appreciated by our 2 dogs, the youngest one even learning how to swim! The house was very cleaned and is very well equipped, we didn't once felt like something was missing. The game room was used every night for family board games evening! Dawn was very responsive and friendly through the booking process and a special thank you to Tommaso, Caris and Leonardo for their kindness and looking after us the way they did. Wish we were still there! Thanks for everything!

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger naturnaher Lage
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt! Das Haus ist unglaublich schön, sehr geräumig und auch das Außengelände ist sehr schön. Selbst bei Regen, konnte man sich sehr gut im Haus aufhalten, hatte genug Platz und es hat sich trotzdem wie Urlaub angefühlt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und es lohnt sich, wenn man ein bisschen abgeschottet leben will. Außerdem ist direkt am Haus noch ein kleiner Fluss, durch den man waten kann. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Wonderful family holiday!
We loved our stay at this stunning retreat set in the heart of the hills with beautiful views and within easy reach of the Riviera. The roads were pretty bendy getting in and out but the hardest places to get to are always the best! The perfect setting for two families and young kids to kick back and relax, beautifully furnished with no detail overlooked. A wonderful outdoor dining area with BBQ. (We didn't get to use the pool as it was out of season but we made the most of swimming in the river at the bottom of the garden). Lots of space to roam, play and explore and a huge variety of DVDs, games and books to delight young and old on those chilled rainy days. A gentle off road walk along the river into charming Sassello - authentic, rustic and rural Italy at its best offering a great choice of cafes, shops and restaurants and a small Carrefour for top up shops plus more Amaretto that you could ever wish for! Thank you for a wonderful stay in this very special house and area 😊

Wunderbar
Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in einem wirklich gut ausgestatteten Ferienhaus. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und wir hatten immer einen Ansprechpartner. Der Pool wird alle zwei Tage gereinigt und es fehlt im Haus an nichts. Genügend Handtücher, Spiele für die Kinder, Toilettenpapier, Seife usw. Alles da. Tommaso, der Verwalter vor Ort, eine absolute Wucht und zusammen mit seiner Frau sehr nett, lustig, kompetent , hilfsbereit und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Tommaso spricht übrigens auch perfekt Deutsch. Der Naturpool in der Nähe, mit Wasserfall ist ein absolutes Highlight und lässt ein bisschen Abenteuerfeeling aufkommen. Alles in allem kann man hier sehr gut entspannen und mit Kindern ist das sehr zu empfehlen, da sie sich auf dem großen Grundstück und mit dem Pool richtig austoben können. Lovely farmhouse with close proximity to good walks and cycles
We had a wonderful holiday, the pool was lovely, the house had a large wild garden with a lovely river at the bottom backing onto the main road. Inside of the house was very nice, the kids loved the games room, and the welcome pack of local food was a lovely touch. We loved having bbq every evening watching the moon rise over the mountain.

Top ausgestattetes Haus mit schönen Pool in ursprünglichem Dorf
Schönes, großes und top ausgestattetes Haus - hier fehlt es einem an Nichts und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden ausgesprochen herzlich und freundlich willkommen geheißen und sind mit originalen Produkten aus der Region überrascht worden. Die sympathischen und netten Gastgeber waren immer ansprechbar und haben uns viele Tipps und Infos zur Region und den Reisezielen in der Umgebung gegeben. Das Haus liegt mitten im Wald und am Rande eines Flusses. Hier hat man herrliche Ruhe, viel Natur, einen wunderschönen Pool auf dem riesigen Grundstück und zusätzlich auch noch die Möglichkeit in einem Naturpool des Flusses unterhalb eines Wasserfalls unter schattenspendenden Bäumen zu schwimmen - ein wirkliches Erlebnis. Rehe und andere Tiere lassen sich auf dem Grundstück beobachten. Sassello hat sehr gute Restaurants und viele Geschäfte, die köstliche regionale Produkte verkaufen. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub! A slice of paradise
Badan Farmhouse is for sure a little slice of paradise! The location is simply idyllic ,situated overlooking a meadow with nothing but country side (except for the beautiful pool) in the eyes view. A real added bonus is the river and natural swimming pool and waterfall at the end of the garden. We have four boys and this definitely was the highlight of the stay.The house itself is very tastfully decorated and the sitting room at the top of the house a lovely retreat. Dawn was very helpful and provided lots of useful information. The local hosts Tomasso and Carris are extremely warm and welcoming and generous with their time and advice for which we are very grateful.

Wunderschön in ruhiger Lage
Das Ferienhaus war wie beschrieben. Es ist wirklich ein Wunderschönes Plätzchen, wenn man etwas abseits die Ruhe geniessen will. Die Wohnung und das Aussengelände sind sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und der Pool wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Wunderschön ist der Fluß mit Bademöglichkeit und Wasserfall, den wir immer für uns alleine hatten und an dem wir viel Zeit verbracht haben. Alles in Allem würde ich die Unterkunft jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Great tranquil place
We enjoyed our short stay at your villa. The house was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the sitting room at the top floor and the lovely pool. The outside area however need a bit of attention ( maintenance of the grass, pergolas). Otherwise the service was second to none. Thank you. We will be back.

Hello Pawel we are so happy that you had a lovely stay and we'd love to welcome you back. Being a farmhouse, set in the acreage, we are unfortunately at the peril of the cinghiale (wild boars) who roam freely but every year cause damage. We try to minimise this and we hope the wild flower meadows create a beautiful distraction. We decided not to fence of the garden because we prefer a more natural outside space.

Ein weiterer toller Besuch in Sassello
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in Sassello in diesem wunderschönen Haus und wurden mit der gleichen Herzlichkeit begrüßt, wie beim ersten Mal. Das Haus ist toll gelegen und liebevoll sowie vollständig ausgestattet. Highlight ist und bleibt der nahegelegene Fluss mit natürlichem Pool. Der zum Haus gehörige, angelegte Pool ist toll, aber kein Vergleich zum Naturpool. Sassello und die Umgebung lohnen sich insbesondere für Wander- und Spazierfreunde, die voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. Einzige Einschränkung des Hauses ist die durch Motorradfahrer hoch frequentierte Straße am Wochenende, die in einiger Entfernung liegt.

We had a wonderful time at this renovated old farmhouse in Badani. The kids loved the pool and the river. We enjoyed a lot of wildlife in the garden including deer and wild boar. The local host Tommaso was very helpful and responsive. Sassello is a short drive or 20 min walk away and the Deiva forest starts at the back of the property.

Toller Rückzugsort in sensationeller Lage
Das Haus liegt in der Nähe von Sassello in Alleinlage an einer riesigen Wildblumenwiese eingebettet in ein Waldstück. Das gesamte Grundstück ist damit uneinsehbar. Auf dem Grundstück stehen noch zwei weitere Häuser, von dem eines angeblich von Zeit zu Zeit genutzt wird. Während unseres Aufenthalts waren wir alleine. Die Poolanlage ist super und wir haben sie intensiv genutzt. Der Nähe gelegene Wasserfall inkl. natürlichem Pool ist ein echtes Highlight. Auch in gesamten Bereich um den Wasserfall ist uns kein anderer Besucher begegnet. Einzig störend ist der Wochenendverkehr auf der ~150 m entfernten Straße. DasHaus wird betreut von einem echten Experten für die Gegend. Wir haben sowohl wertvolle Ausflugvorschläge, aber noch bessere Restaurantempfehlungen erhalten. Der Urlaub in diesem Haus ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Perfect getaway
Our family fell in love with this farmhouse and could not have had a better stay. The property is beautiful and quiet, with stunning vistas, a wonderful pool, river access, and plenty of spaces for reading and relaxing. The home was charming, with a great kitchen for cooking meals, comfortable beds, and fun upstairs loft for movies and games. The restaurants, people and shops in Sassello were great to explore and everyone was so welcoming, and it was a short drive to the Riviera beaches to enjoy those as well. This was the perfect place to relax and explore the area. Thank you for letting us share your home--we will be back!

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir wurden in allen Dingen wie z.bsp. Wanderwege, Parkmöglichkeiten in der Stadt oder andere Ausflugsziele sehr gut beraten.

Sassello
Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen, wir haben die Zeit in Ihrem Haus sehr genossen. Herr Tomasso ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei allen Fragen. Der Bach mit Wasserfall am Ende des Gartens ist toll zum baden, auch Sassello ist ein toller kleiner Ort in dem man tägliche Einkäufe erledigen kann. Die Straße zum Haus ist sehr abenteuerlich :) ... die Region ist toll zum wandern. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Climbers short stay
We came on a climbing holiday and used sessello as a base. We were impressed from the start. Communication from the owner was rapid, and the house keeper was good enough to wait for us to arrive at a very unsociable time of the day. The complex itself was stunning, beatuful setting, wildlife roaming free. Anyone that likes open spaces and quiet will not be disappointed. The kitchen already had left over coffee etc in, which was very convent. And the owner had left us some local delacacies to try, somewhat of a rare form of hospitality. The local village a couple mins drive, turned out to be the best location we visited, which included our Dailey excursions to varazze. The coffees in the local village were by far I've ever had, as the add the local speciality of amaretti. The locals are also used to tourist as all we encountered spoke to us in English, when they saw us struggle with Italian. To summarise, if you are looking at this property, then you must book. It is a rare find. Everything about it ticked every box.

We have yet to discover the climbing facilities nearby which several guests have referenced. You're absolutely right the coffee is second to none and the people in Sassello are so welcoming & friendly. We do hope that you will be able to return.

One of the best holiday villas we have ever stayed in!
The farmhouse was beautifully converted to make a comfortable villa for 8 people. We especially liked the sitting room in the attic. But the grounds were superb with a pool, shady outdoor seating areas and best of all a wonderful, waterfall and natural swimming pool in the river at the bottom of the garden. The weather was brilliant and we hardly left the villa all week except to go to the lovely local town (Sassello for bread, fruit and veg in the little shops and pizza in the evening.) The seaside at Savona was only 30 mins drive away but it was very hot on the day we went. However we did take the opportunity to do a big shop as this was the nearest large supermarket. We would definitely recommend this holiday - I had no idea that this part of the Italian coast was so beautiful, the sea and the hills were breath-taking. When I saw the waterfall in the garden in the photos for the villa I was very excited but it totally exceeded our expectations!

A little corner of paradise, beautifully appointed and perfect for a family holiday Italian-style.
Badani Farmhouse is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. It is a reprieve from the stresses of everyday life in the Italian countryside surrounded by natural beauty. The house has everything a family needs, from a well-appointed kitchen (including pasta-maker and espresso cups), to spacious bedrooms, to the glorious swimming pool (30 degrees every day during our stay!). From the back patio you can walk down to the cool shade of the river for a different kind of swim, equally refreshing. The small town of Sassello is nearby and offers several nice restaurants, bakeries, grocers, fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, and a weekly market (also a bar with a gelato counter, much-frequented during our visit). We particularly loved walking into town in the evening, past the little farm and over the footbridge. The house is an idea base for exploring the mountain villages, natural parks, or the coast. It is even possible to venture into the Piedmonte and to larger towns like Aqui Terme. We can't say enough about the local host and his family. Their warmth and graciousness, and their willingness to share tips about the area and the house made our holiday that much more special. We wholeheartedly recommend this property and hope to return ourselves one day soon.

A wonderful stay
We are a family of 2 adults, a 15 year old daughter, and a 12 year old son. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Badani farmhouse together Max our dog who loved trips down to the river. Although there had been very little rain the waterfall was still very enjoyable to climb out to and for all of us to cool down in the pools below. The pool and house were all in excellent order and Tomasso (the housekeeper) and his family were all very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. A 20 minute walk (mostly avoiding the main road up to Sassello) is a lovely stroll and leads to the lovely small town of Sassello which caters for all needs. Genoa and Portofino were in easy driving distance. Thank you Dawn for allowing us to stay at Badani.

Great place to relax.
Well maintained home with a warm feeling. We stayed for a week and hated to leave. It's a little difficult to find so pay very close attentions to Dawn's directions to the house.

Family Paradise
Where do I start? A well equipped converted farmhouse in an idyllic rural mountain setting, but only 30 minutes drive to the Med. This provided spacious accommodation for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 children) topped off with a superb family room in the converted loft, great for chilling out after a long day. Then there are the grounds, a typical Italian shaded outdoor eating and sitting area, so relaxing that all our meals were taken in this area. Just a short distance away our own superb swimming pool where we all spent many enjoyable hours in the water and enjoying the sunshine. If this was not enough at the bottom of the meadow a path leads down to a river with a waterfall. An area for adventure the children could not have hoped for in their wildest dreams. There are no adjacent occupied properties, so you have this paradise all to yourselves. The local village shop, although small, has a great selection of local cheeses, meats and wines as well as most essentials. Sassello, a short drive away, a lovely Italian mountain town has plenty of places to eat and shop to fulfil any other needs. To make the holiday complete there was Tommaso and his family who met us and introduced us to the property. They were a fount of local knowledge and were always on hand if needed. I do hope we can create an opportunity to return in the future

Lovely peaceful country house
Had a great stay at the house in Sassello. The house is situated just outside the lovely town of Sassello, a quiet and relaxing low-key (and very pretty) town with enough shops/bars/restaurants to keep you happy for a week or two. The house is very well appointed, with a fab kitchen containing everything you need. Beds are comfy. And everything was spotlessly clean. The upstairs kids play area/lounge with TV and log fire is really useful and relaxing. There's also great oudoor areas, with a patio and tables outside for alfresco meals, a fab heated pool, shaded areas and sunbathing areas around the pool. Then there's also the "wilder" meadow leading down to a river with waterfall and natural swimming pools. Dawn the ownder communicated well throughout and whilst in Italy the house manager was as welcoming and helpful as you can get! Being shown around the town by a local was brilliant. Nothing semed too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone!
