'My wife, our adult son and I stayed in this hotel recently on our way from India (Sunauli border near Gorakhpur) to Pokhara. Tansen is situated nearly mid way between GKP and Pokhara (about 4.5 hours in each direction), and therefore, Tansen makes a convenient stop-over. We had initially booked our two rooms only for one night, but Hotel Ranimahal turned out to be such a great find that we ended up spending another night also in this excellent hotel. 'The location and overall appearance of the hotel is good. However, the room we stayed (first room on second floor) had a couple of dozen bugs in the room. We had to turn the lights in the room off and left only the bathroom lights on during the night hoping to attract bug away from us. We also had to use towels to block the bottom of our door to prevent more bugs from coming in from the hallway. Next morning we found a lot of dead bugs right outside of our room which was a horrible scene....

'Loved this place. The suite rooms on the top floor are outstanding. Staff are welcoming and extremely friendly. Good spoken English. Food from the restaurant (and room service) is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. There was a small problem with the hot water when I checked in but solutions were found. '

'Super surprised by our stay at Moyura Hotel, we had a lovely stay and all the staff were super helpful. First the room were the best we've had Nepal, especially at this price point. It was huge, squeaky clean with great facilities and an awesome shower. The restaurant was also a lovely suprise. Big thanks to Krishna Thapa who was working in the restaurant. We asked for all of dishes to be changed to be suitable for vegans, and he made what could have been a challanging order really simple....
