'Overpriced. Continental breakfast is bagels cereal and a waffle machine. No hot food other than make your own waffles. No dresser for clothes, phone in room did not work so no way to contact desk. No elevator.'

'Coffee was horrible, one day no coffee at 7:45am, eggs were cold, staff was rude. Tiles in bathroom were loose. Old building not well maintained. We have to go to Chisago a couple more times and will definitely get hotel closer to MinneapolisWould rather drive 45 minutes than stay there again.'

'My room was not cleaned sufficiently. The bathroom floor was filthy and unmopped with hair all over it. The used soap was still left in the soapdish, however, there were clean towels. The TV remote had dead batteries. When I turned down the made up bed I found used sheets that had obviously not been changed. The pillow cases appeared to have been the only thing changed. 'Dated property; it’s time for a refresh including breakfast overhaul.'

'Our room was ready and clean. Staff provided extra towels for us. The disappointment was that although we were told breakfast was available starting at 6:30 am, there was nothing other than overnight coffee available at 7 am. Using the phone for contact in the common area meant the phone rang multiple times without anyone answering it.'

'All vending machines out of order, no elevator to reach second floor. Had to carry luggage up stairs. Don’t think they have a pool, if they do, I wasn’t told where it was. The online pictures are not what it actually is. Sorta reminds me of a rent by the hour motel you see in the movies. Won’t be going back there again.'

'The price is right for this property. It is an inexpensive hotel that is fairly clean, and in a good location but lacks much for a continental breakfast. The workers were not rude, but they were not friendly.'

'The parking lot was covered in weeds and cracks in the asphalt…grass areas were overgrown with weeds as well. It looked like the hotel was not in business. Main sign out at the street was a torn piece of plastic no longer covering the sign of the previous hotel. Room was dated and worn with serious rust on the bathroom door hinges Breakfast at 7 am was non-existent and consisted of a few store bought doughnuts and three cereal choices and a gallon of milk. Very disappointed with our stay'

'Our stay was comfortable, room was clean. There is no ice machine on site so plan accordingly. There is not an office onsite, plan on Self Check-in only with call support if you have issues with your door code.'

'We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.'
