'Freezer Hostel is a combination of hotel rooms and hostel/camping accommodations. It has an artsy vibe and good shared amenities including a kitchen and a very welcoming common area where they host live music and other events on weekends. We cannot speak to the rooms at the property itself because our room was not available upon arrival due to an electricity issue. While this was poorly communicated before our arrival, the host more than made up for this by being super helpful when we arrived...

'The hotel offers a decent meal, but if you like something else you can drive to Stykkishólmur (20 min) or near Kirkjufell (30 min). We have been lucky to witness the Aurora Borealis at a cloudless night. The 'Hello Aurora' app was supportive. Very friendly host, couple to welcome you overhere.'

'Mooi gelegen cottages met fantastisch uitzicht. Goede bedden, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Kussens waren erg zacht. Een extra kussen zou fijn zijn geweest. Wifi deed het de eerste dag niet. Tweede dag geen warm water. Na een uur wel weer.'
