He gave us grapes from his garden on another day. He gave us advice on getting around the area by bus and regaled us with stories about Greece and his past. '

'Really friendly personalized welcome. Beautiful room with seaview, space in the bathroom, excellent shower. Coffee machine with capsules and kettle for tea. Lovely towels. Nothing boring about this hotel, a nice change from the impersonal chains. Still, WIFI was excellent so I could work and catch up with emails. The restaurant was excellent too with reasonable prices.'
