'Only problem was: there was no air conditioner or ventilator available in the room. You can’t leave the window open as anybody can enter your room via the window anytime in the night. There were also mosquitoes coming in if we opened the room. It was such a terrible night spent. You will hear heavy traffic on the road if the window is open. Everything else was fine. Free parking with a clean room and washroom. Only book this property in the WINTER season.'

'The room is very dated (a little like an old granny’s room). Of course you get what you pay for and this was Messe time … Still, it would be good to give the rooms a minimal upgrade. The very limited staffing of the reception (4 hours per day only) is also not very welcoming. '

'Excellent en practical hotel for a business trip. Only element of critism is the noise insulation between rooms, but the noise from the Railway was no issue.'

'😘schone kamers ,vriendelijke uitbaters, winkels in de buurt'

'As temperatures continue to rise it would be nice to have air conditioning. Not the norm throughout Essen.'

'We’ve come to the Rathaus multiple times by now and every single time it’s been excellent. The fact that there’s a well stocked kitchen to use with all the amenities you might need is invaluable, it’s so convenient! The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly.'
