For a long time, it was a private seaside retreat—enjoyed slowly and lovingly over the years as a summer getaway. And that’s exactly what you feel the moment you step inside: not a staged space, but a home with a story, genuine care, and authentic hospitality.

The style is classic and retro, with that “old-time charm” you rarely find today: elegant details, bright atmospheres, and rooms designed to truly feel good in. It’s not the impersonal perfection of identical rentals—here there’s character, warmth, and a discreet sense of familiarity that makes you feel in the right place straight away.

Today this home is available for you, keeping its identity intact: a simple, reassuring place where vacation feels natural. 🔑 GUEST ACCESS (EXCLUSIVE, WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX)
Marina Guest House is located inside a residential complex with other nearby homes.
Access through the main gate is shared with other residents/guests, but once you’re inside, the apartment is entirely yours:
• exclusive access to the whole apartment 🏠
• all rooms and amenities are fully dedicated to you
• the spaces described in the listing are private, for a peaceful stay with no interference
In short: you only share the entrance to the complex… everything else is just yours.

You’ll have 2 numbered parking spots (5 and 6) right below the apartment, inside a gated area.

🔑 CHECK-IN: IN PERSON OR KEY PICK-UP
Whenever possible, check-in is in person by 9:00 PM, so we can welcome you and explain everything calmly.
If you arrive later, or if you prefer full independence, we’ll let you know a convenient and safe place where you can pick up the keys.
All instructions will be sent before arrival, in a simple and clear way.

⚠️ GETTING AROUND & MOBILITY
🚗 A car is recommended to move independently to Sciacca town center, beaches, and main attractions, given the home’s quiet and private location.
🚌 The local bus runs only at certain times and on limited routes.
🚕 Private taxis are available (❌ Uber or similar services are not present)

ℹ️ GOOD TO KNOW:

• Mosquitoes in the warm season:
As in many coastal and countryside areas in Sicily, mosquitoes may be present during the summer months, especially in the evening.
We recommend keeping windows closed in the evening and, if you wish, using personal insect repellent.

• Beach and neighborhood in high season.
During the peak summer periods, the beach and nearby homes can be busier.
That said, the home still offers privacy and independence, within a tidy and quiet residential setting.

• Distance home → “Renella Beach” :
Renella Beach is easily reachable in about 5 minutes on foot.
The route goes downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back: manageable, but worth considering especially during the hottest hours.


🔑 PLEASE WATCH THE KEYS (small thing, big peace of mind)

Please remember to always take the keys with you, especially when you step out onto the veranda.

👉 If the door closes behind you, it can’t be reopened without the key.
Also, the small gate on the stairs can be opened only with the key to go in/out.

It has happened before that someone relaxed on the veranda leaving keys and phone inside… and in that case it becomes difficult to ask for help, even from us as hosts.

📜 HOUSE RULES TO READ AND ACCEPT BEFORE YOUR STAY:

📝 CONTRACT + 🆔 ID IDENTIFICATION (MANDATORY):
After booking you will receive:
• the Tourist Rental Contract to sign digitally — we use written form as required for rental agreements (L. 431/1998, art. 1(4) + DL 50/2017).
• the link to upload/record ID documents, required for reporting to Public Safety authorities (art. 109 TULPS / Alloggiati Web).


🚭 SMOKING:
Smoking is not allowed inside the house (including e-cigarettes). Smoke detectors are installed and may trigger the alarm.
✅ Smoking is allowed on the veranda / outdoor areas.


🩴 CLEAN YOUR FEET AFTER THE BEACH:
After returning from the beach, it is mandatory to clean your feet thoroughly before entering the house and using the stairs.
Sand on the stairs can cause slips and compromise your safety and that of neighbors.


🗑️ WASTE DISPOSAL (MANDATORY):
Recycling/sorting waste is mandatory and must follow the municipal collection calendar.
You’ll find everything in the house manual and we’ll explain it at check-in too.
🚫 Never leave trash inside the house, for any reason (even for a few hours), to avoid odors and issues.
🕗 Every evening, you must take the bins/bags outside the main gate to the residence’s collection area (you’ll find the dedicated large bins there).
📅 Please follow the calendar to dispose correctly day by day.


💧 WATER USE (BE MINDFUL):
We kindly ask you to use water responsibly, avoiding waste and unnecessary consumption.
In Sicily, water is a precious resource, especially during summer: small habits make a big difference.


⚡ ELECTRICITY (AVOID OVERLOADS):
In some cases the meter may trip if multiple high-consumption appliances are used at the same time.
To avoid interruptions, please do not run these simultaneously:
• oven 🔥
• washing machine 🧺
• hair dryer 💨
(together or with other high-consumption devices)
If it does trip, no worries: we’ll send you instructions to reset it right away (it’s located outside, near the main blue gate).
