'We normally stay at the older Sandman, but decided to splurge and try the Sandman Signature for three nights for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to the price. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. When we mentioned our concerns at checkout, they said they would pass them along to the manager, which we appreciated. 'We had a short wait for the shuttle from the airport. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spotless. Breakfast was absolutely amazing- great selection, fresh, really nice staff and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the only drawback- the pool was down for renovations. Since that was a key reason for choosing the Holiday Inn Express it was “a bummer”. In all other areas great place to stay. '

'Our plane was delayed and we didn’t arrive in Winnipeg until 3AM a quick call to the front desk and a very nice friendly driver showed up in 10 minutes in a warm shuttle. He dropped us off at the hotel. The front desk clerk was equally as friendly. We were in our room before 3:30 We could not ask for any better service '

When we checked into the hotel the front desk agent confirmed we needed the accessible suite - I said yes (my disabled husband was still making his way inside) When we got to the room and opened the door we realized it was a standard 2 queen bed suite. 'The girl who checked us in was beyond fabulous. The conditions of the property were in very rough shape and the drunk person hanging out on the couch that peed him self was not cool. Definitely would never stay there again. '

'Initially had an issue with my first room being too noisy and no hot water. Staff immediately changed me to another wing and all was well. There were issues as well with noisy guests that the staff addressed right away. Room was quite large. Everything was very clean. Restaurant in hotel only open till 2:00 in the afternoon but there’s a sports bar there as well where you can order food till late.
