'I was pleasantly surprised at how nice a place Zanzibar View Hotel was. One of the most beautiful and clean (very clean) boutique hotels I have stayed in. 'Kamers zijn prachtig, heerlijke bedden, super service, prachtig uitzicht op zee met fantastische zonsondergangen. Heerlijke zwembaden en heerlijk eten elke avond op een andere locatie. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. '

'Wir waren vom 10.auf den 11.Oktober Gäste im RETRO . Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig,das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Alles in allem sehr angenehm und entspannt. Würden wir wieder buchen. '

'Setting in a lively and interesting area of stonetown, Darajani Market. Simple clean rooms with bathroom and shower, good air conditioning. Staff were very kind and helpful. Good value for low-cost.'

'Poor management and the hotel has no freedom by desk but is operated out of a restaurant that is around the corner. The room is basic a bed and bath. The manager is not around but part of the time but only at the restaurant. No sign at restaurant that there is a hotel and we were the only guests. Would not return. '
