Seaside House, ideaal gelegen aan de rand van Seahouses, onlangs ingericht en gerenoveerd, dit smaakvol ingerichte pand profiteert van een rustige locatie, maar toch op loopafstand van de haven, stranden, golfclub en het dorp met zijn vele pubs, restaurants en winkels . Bij Seahouses wordt u letterlijk omringd door een prachtig landschap en heeft u keuze genoeg voor dingen om te doen en plaatsen om te bezoeken. De Farne-eilanden zijn bereikbaar met regelmatige boottochten vanuit de haven. Het prachtige Bamburgh-kasteel en het prachtige strand liggen op slechts 3 mijl afstand, en het historische stadje Alnwick, met zijn majestueuze tuinen en kasteel (gebruikt in veel films, waaronder Harry Potter), is slechts een korte rit. De erfgoedkust is bezaaid met meer kastelen, prachtige stranden en vissersdorpen, evenals Holy Island.
De Cheviot Hills en het Northumberland National park zijn ook vlakbij, evenals de grenssteden Berwick en Coldstream. Newcastle en Edinburgh zijn ook gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Seaside House is een ideale woning om te verblijven, met zijn slaapflexibiliteit, 2 badkamers boven en garderobe beneden. Wisseldag is zaterdag. Aankomsttijd na vijftien. Vertrektijd 10 uur.

Welcoming house near the sea

Het was heel fijn, er lagen verschillende lekkere dingen klaar als welkomstpakket, leuke inrichting, schoon, het ontbrak ons aan niets. Het huis lag op paar honderd meter van de kliffenkust waarlangs je naar dorp en haven kon lopen, schone zeelucht, veel moois te zien in de buurt, niet dichtbevolkt, de Engelsen zijn vriendelijk en meestal in voor een praatje. Zo ook Ray en Val, de buren die het huis beheren. Kortom: we kunnen het iedereen aanbevelen!

This house was ideally located in a quiet area with a short walk to all the local shops, restaurants and pubs. There were also local tracks to the coast and along to the village. Seahouses is also a great location for exploring the Northumbrian coast. Accommodation was comfortable and well eqipped and the owner communicated promptly and was very helpful.

Very enjoyable stay

We enjoy walking and bird watching - this was a brilliant base, comfortable and well equipped property, with helpful neighbours and quick responses from Russell with any queries. An easy walk to shops, boats to Farne Islands as well as the beach.

Excellent base for exploring the area

The house was lovely- very clean and well-equipped. Can’t think of anything else we would need! It was an easy stroll to the harbour and the amenities of Seahouses along the coastal path - the sea is literally at the end of the road! A great location for exploring the area - so much to do that we didn’t fit it all in and we were there a week! Good excuse to go back. Communication with Russell was excellent right from the time of booking. He even took the trouble to send some information about birdwatching sites when I mentioned that was an interest of my husband! Thank you so much Russell! We will definitely return!

Stayed here over the Christmas week, the property is in an ideal location close to Seahouses centre and easy access at end of the road to the waterfront.There is reserved parking for two cars.The property is well equipped and comfortable and warm.

Great house and location

The house contained everything we needed including parking x2 spaces. Exactly as expected from the info on the website. Would have liked an initial acknowledgement from the owner. The design of the dining table legs made it difficult for 3 adults to sit at without moving the sofa. Cleaning could be better - dust on doors, pictures and under the coffee table. The neighbours budgies chirped from 5am.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub in Northumberland

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen und erholsamen Urlaub in Northumberland. Das Ferienhaus war sehr gut ausgestattet, wir haben nichts vermisst. Es befindet sich in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel unweit der Nordsee und hat sehr freundliche Nachbarn. Der Kontakt mit dem Eigentümer war unkompliziert, zu Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes bekamen wir sogar ein paar sehr nahrhafte Willkommensgeschenke. Seahouses ist ein Ferienort in dem hauptsächlich Briten Urlaub machen. Es liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig an der Nordseeküste von Northumberland. Von hier aus ist es nicht weit nach Edinburgh (rd. zweieinhalb Stunden Fahrt) oder nach Newcastle upon Tyne (rd. eineinhalb Stunden Fahrt). Aber auch in der näheren Umgebung befinden sich mit Alnwick oder Berwick-upon-Tweed interessante Orte, die man gut besuchen kann. Da wir Mitglied im National Trust sind, konnten wir diverse Orte wie Lindisfarne-Castle auf Holy Island (bei Flut eine Insel, bei Ebbe mit dem Auto erreichbar), Dunstanburgh-Castle bei Alnwick, Cragside oder Wallington, beide bei Morpeth kostenfrei besichtigen. Ein unbedingtes Muss ist ein Besuch des Bamburgh-Castle, welches allerdings nicht vom National Trust betrieben wird. Von Seahouses aus kann man auch diverse Bootstouren u.a. zu den Farne-Islands (ein Vogelparadis) oder zu Holy Islands machen.

Pleasent stay.

The property is in a great location, the facilities are great, it's short of nothing. Russel (owner) was easy to contact and Ray (maintenance) was pleasant and efficient. The only negative I found was the TV was rather dated with poor sound quality. My mother is hard of hearing and there was no option to add subtitles. I know that may sound picky but if there a bad weather day you need some entertainment in the property. I'd just ask Russel to update that and it's 100%.

Beautiful house by the sea

The photos don't do it justice, this is a lovely spacious spotless cottage with everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Quiet location within a few minutes walk to the beach and into Seahouses. Russell was so helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. We were welcomed with some very generous welcome gifts! Lovely neighbours too who helped us locate the keybox on arrival. We really fell in love with the place can highly recommend. We certainly hope to be back in the future.
