Hotel met charme van een oude stad
Wij werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen. De vrouw achter de balie nam heel veel tijd voor ons. Kamers waren wel wat verouderd maar dat had ook wel zijn charmes. Het bed lag prima dus wij hebben heerlijk geslapen. Volgende dag werd ons koffie aangeboden.

I walked into a half dead cockroach. The sheets and blankets are warn out like they have been used since 1970’s. Same thing with the towels; stained and warn out. The fridge doesn’t work. No coffee machine. So dusty everywhere. The window in the bathroom is broken. Someone can break in easily. You hear trains go by all night. I was supposed to stay one more night but I gladly left.

Dear AudreyThank you for taking the time to leave feedback of your experience. It's the dessert, we have water bugs. We get regular pest control service for all the creepy crawlies. However we can not get all of them 100% of the time. So yes, the occasional water bug (in the roach family) does surface. Interesting comment on the bedding. We just purchased brand new bed spreads, and sheets for all the rooms... They are brand new, I do not understand how they could be mistaken as over 50 years old? Even if it were true, which it definitely is not, sheets that old would be long gone from wear. I checked the fridge in 20, it is fully operational. We do not use coffee machines to provide great coffee to our guests thats true. Our mexican espresso requires no machines. Trains, dust, well its a tourist town in the dessert. That answers itself. I am so so sorry your experience was not acceptable. Kind regards to youShannonManager

This motel is newly renovated. The staff was amazing. It was very clean and cute! Would highly recommend staying here for a trip to Havasupai canyon.

Was wore out from travel was a last minute stop. Almost 110.00 for a night office was rude because we went to check In for room and they said we should have got an email with room number and door code but we didn’t. Went to take a shower and the water was cold! Had heat on high all night and was still cold. Room was clean though

Perhaps it was another motel in question. I am sorry you experienced the "office" as rude for assuming you received your email info. It is always sent, however sometimes does not get received. We always ask if our guest received their email, if the answer is no, we are happy to provide the info needed upon arrival. We do have challenges with Hot water taking extended times to reach certain rooms on the property due to vintage iron & clay pipes. I apologize sincerely if the wait time was not achieved. It was very 1960's but that is what you would expect. The bathroom sink area has been remodeled. We had problem getting hot water to shower, but it had new faucets, so it might have been our issue. It is in central area. So lots of dinning choices. We were traveling with dogs and they were accommodating.

We have stayed in multiple locations on old 66. When we arrived, at around 2:30pm, no one was there. Check in was at 3pm. We tried to call about getting in a bit early, but went to voicemail. We walked around the property and it was dirty. We decided not to stay and forfeit our deposit on the room. The area is truly rough. We did not expect a 5 star place, but it was just dirty around the property. We stayed in Tucamcari and it was awesome. I would not go to Seligman.

Dear Thomas,Thank you for leaving feedback for us. All feedback is useful. I am truly sorry you did not remain her until I had the office open. I believe, if you had, you would have had a very different perspective. it did look a bit rough outside. That is correct. However, as per the conversation I had with you on the phone there is a clear reason why. As I stated to you, we had just had a huge storm overnight. There was a lot of dirt, debri, water, and things blown around due to high per hour winds and rain/snow. Within 30 min of clocking in I had set that all back in order. Just took some elbow grease. As far as checking in early, on occasion we do that for guests but only if they arrange for it ahead of time. We are very busy this time of year and we need from 11am-3pm to make sure our rooms are ready.Thank you for allowing a format for us to share our perspective of how our little town handles "desert storms" with grace and hard work. The vintage feel of Seligman is not for everyone, but I can assure all who read this...our property AND rooms are very clean.. Quaint place off old Route 66 in a small town not far from the I-40. It was a nice place to stop and recharge for the night. If you’re a princess you probably won’t like it, it was built in the heyday of Route 66 so it’s like an old graceful lady. It was very comfortably warm room despite what I read from other reviews, the shower water wasn’t very hot is my only mild complaint.

We liked the hotel, it was nice and neat. It was unusually cold weather and we were a little cold at night an additional blanket would have made us feel more comfortable but our overall experience was great.

2-night stay
Our room was changed due to unforseen circumstances. When we arrived, the given code didn't work. I called and the phone was answered right away and the issue solved. We were disappointed that this room didn't have nightstands, nor a little table like the other room, but we made it work. The mattress was a little bit firmer than my body likes, but it was fine. I prefer that than a saggy, ultrasoft mattress. We have stayed here several times and have always received excellent service. The staff I have interacted with have been friendly and helpful.

Room was on 2nd floor with no elevator service. No heat for the room except for a tiny space heater and the night we stayed was in low 20s. We were told renovations were being done however the tiny space heater did not suffice to keep the room warm. Bed and sheets were nice and clean however the bathroom was not. Instant coffee was in room, microwave and mini fridge alao available. Room was small but was very nostalgic.

Your room was Warmed to 65* as all our rooms are kept between 60-65*F in winter. I am sorry if the room did not remain warm enough to your comfort level. If I had been alerted to this it would have been addressed and resolved. We provided extra thicker blankets, extra heaters, as well as moving guests to a new room if these other measures are not satisfactory. I wish you had come to me so you would have been more comfortable. This is the same response to all "other" alleged complaints. We want everyone to have a great stay here with us. Clean enough but fell short in some areas. We set the heater (heat pump) for 75 and froze all night. There are gaps around the door and it was about 28 last night. Train noise is fairly constant. Also, water came out brown from the tub but not sure if that's common in this area. Convenient but probably wouldn't stay here again.

If you had actually contacted me, I assure this would have all been resolved. The trains are not in our control, not much we can do about that. We have not had a complaint about the heat in that room, I will check it myself for sure. The "brown" water does occur from time to time due to some vintage pipes. The Postcard Motel was everything we needed for our night before hiking Havasupai. We were able to freeze our gatorades for a treat for the hike in. We didn't hear the train over the air conditioning unit, which we feared would be loud. Check in and checking out was a breeze. The area overall was quiet and within walking distance to things if you had time or would like to. Would highly recommend to Havasupai hikers and others.

Check is was easy and the lady at the counter was so pleasant and helpful. It is an old hotel on Rte. 66 but they have fixed it up with a lot of the old furnishings. Was a very comfortable place to stay.

Not stated in online booking, but apparently a 'contact free' motel meaning zero staff or lobby on site. You arrive and find a xeroxed signed taped to closed lobby door instructing to call or email to get your room number and access code. No response received via email and way to long wait after phone call to get in. Another couple arrived right after me and couldn't get a response and ended up having to get a different motel. Not good for a motel in the middle of no where with spotty internet access! Room left alot to be desired, dirty bath and fridge, hair all over, sink didnt drain, and boken bathroom window.

Our regular operations have me here from 3-10 pm in office daily, on site all the time. To receive and assist our guests. At the same time we "offer" contactless arrival as well. I, the manager was on a much needed and well earned 3 day hiatus. Because this is a privately owned family establishment, when I take rare time off, this is how we have to manage things. Not perfect but it works best as it can. I am very sorry you did not have a positive experience with us. We had upwards of 30 guest staying with us during the time I was away. The phones were covered as well as my on site staff being here to assist anyone in anyway they can. All went very well I am happy to report. Only 1 less than satisfactory experience out of so many. I can only apologise for your experience. We NEVER want even ONE less than satisfactory experience for our guests. I also need time off from my duties. This is by no means dirty. We have very hard water here in the desert. We replace our shower curtains as needed when the water deposits become more than accepted. We will most definitely replace this one, thank you for bringing it to my attention. Our newly remodeled vintage motel is old...yet definitely not gross nor dirty however. 90% of our reviews include kudos for being clean. they should have black out curtains especially in summer due to heat and early sunshine. mattress needs upgrade. spring s pop all night and in your back it's uncomfortable
