Crossing the road by foot from the white town side to the hotel side of the road like any Indian city is not for the faint of heart. Breakfast was standard fare for South India. 'Worst ever stay! Room had lot of mosquitoes, there was no tv and water in bathroom taps had inadequate pressure! room 109 was so dirty and broken furnitures. And the manager in the reception should never be employed in any company! His behaviour alone made our stay very terrible! I strongly don’t recommend this place.'

Appreciated the small touches like kettle with complementary tea and coffee, toilet paper and daily cleaning. 'We had a lovely 5 days at the Conch. It is a 10 minute tuktuk ride into Whitetown in Pondicherry, so very accessible but a little quieter which we preferred. The rooms are clean and spacious with an amazing private pool (can be a bit chilly when you jump in!). We had several meals whilst staying and the food was overall incredible - it’s homemade and full of flavour with plenty of variety.

'We had booked 3 rooms for attending a wedding. One of the rooms did not have hot water. In the evening we did not have power for 3 hours and the power backup failed. When we asked for a partial refund for our discomforts, they just gave some excuses. The room service persons to help with luggage are always missing.'
