The House with the Double-Glazed Window / The House of the Mullion

A 14th-century medieval house, tastefully renovated by its owners, two art historians. Located in Sermoneta’s most beautiful square, its windows frame the magnificent Romanesque bell tower of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Featuring three large bedrooms, it is ideal for a romantic getaway for a couple, but also for a group of three couples or a large family (a total of seven beds in three air-conditioned rooms).

The entryway features a large bookshelf; in the small study with its Gothic mullioned window (classified by the cultural heritage authorities as a Category A heritage site, along with the Castle), there is a beautiful fireplace. The living room, which includes a comfortable and functional kitchen, features two balconies on either side. The 1970s Swedish furniture adds an elegant touch to this rare historic home. The house’s three modern bathrooms (one on the first floor and the other two adjacent to the bedrooms) are equipped with a shower and a bathtub.

Guests will have access to the entire house. They will be given a key to the house and will have complete independence throughout their stay.
Near the house, you’ll find a bakery (fresh bread and pizza), a café, restaurants, a tobacco shop, and an ATM.

La Casa della Bifora is considered one of the most beautiful houses in Sermoneta. The town is known as one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Central Italy. Near Sermoneta are the magnificent Ninfa Gardens, the Cistercian abbeys of Valvisciolo and Fossanova, the legendary San Felice Circeo, the national park, Sabaudia, and Terracina—along with their unforgettable stretch of coastline.
