Our cabin, Alpine Splendor, is the perfect place to enjoy the mountains, find some peace, rest, and relax with family games. Our rural mountain cabin is about 30 minutes from town. This distance helps create a vacation experience of semi-seclusion, in the woods, in nature. Instead of being in an area of cabins galore, you’ll find much more privacy and enjoy a mountain view in its natural environment. Our cabin retreat comes complete with new beds, a new hot tub with a great view, a new fire table on the deck, and plenty of family games and activities.

You’ll likely find your stress and anxiety melt away on the pleasant drive to this cabin. Enjoy the countryside as you drive past mountain streams and mountain farmland on your way to Alpine Splendor. Compared to many cabins in the area, the mountain drive to Alpine Splendor is fully paved and relatively easy, with the last few miles involving some sharper turns and steeper climbs. The cabin itself has a flat gravel pull-through driveway.

Come escape to the Locust Ridge area of Tennessee nestled in the mountains of Sevier County. While the cabin itself offers a peaceful retreat, you are still not far from the excitement and attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We are a 23 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and a 33 minute drive to Gatlinburg. Dollywood is 23 minutes away and Foxfire Adventure Park is only 9 minutes down the road. Enjoy the amazing beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or venture into the nearby cities for dining, entertainment, and numerous amusement attractions.

Depending on your route to and from the cabin, there may be only a couple unlined roads on your trip. We recommend previewing your driving plans as the default GPS route might not be the easiest route, especially when coming from the interstate. Winter weather may require the use of 4 wheel drive and / or chains. If we have snowy or icy conditions, roads are typically cleared in 24 to 48 hours. We recommend following local travel advice, and we are not able to give refunds for weather related issues.

If you’re looking for a cabin in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, this is not the cabin for you. Since we are outside of town, the cabin has standard speed satellite internet access at 25 mbps which is good for 480p streaming (standard quality) on our new Roku TVs. We do not have cable or satellite tv, but streaming is available through your own apps. Cell phone signals may be spotty in our area, but we encourage you to unplug and to connect with the people you bring! Our cabin operates on well water, which is safe but can sometimes have a different smell. We think that the cabin, the seclusion, and the views are well worth booking! Choose our cabin and make some great mountain memories with your family!

You will have full and complete access to the cabin. We provide STARTER amounts of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, shampoo, soap, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent. These are not intended to last for your entire stay, so please come prepared. Towels and bed linens are also provided. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, silverware, pots, and pans (bring your own cooking oil and seasonings). The kitchen also includes a dual drip and pod coffee maker to meet all of your caffeine needs (bring your own coffee and filters). We have a charcoal grill and grilling utensils (bring your own charcoal and lighter). We also have a washer and dryer for your convenience (bring your own laundry detergent). This property is furnished with towels, washcloths, dish cloths, dish rags, and all necessary linens.

This three-level log home is private and offers a great mountain setting! You'll love the beautiful log home layout. When you first walk in the cabin, you will view high vaulted ceilings with a river stone fireplace and wood inside most of the home. Just by turning the timer switch by the gas fireplace, you have an instant fire for your enjoyment in the cooler months. The main level also includes a fully equipped kitchen, a full hall bathroom with standing shower, dining area, living room, and the first master suite with full bathroom. Upstairs, you will find a cozy loft with two new queen beds and a fantastic view of the mountains. Head down to the basement and you will find a rec room with pool table, foosball table, wet bar, and couches near the new Roku tv. There is also a half bath with washer and dryer off of this room. Hidden behind a rustic barn door, you will find the second master suite with full bathroom. The two levels of back decks are covered and provide a very nice setting to enjoy a sit or soak with the woods and mountains in the background. They also include furniture and a new hot tub. A grill is located out front to enjoy more of the great outdoors! This mountain home is sure to help you create lifelong memories.
