📋 Know Before You Book:
Guest must be 25+ to book | ID & rental agreement required

$500 refundable security deposit hold (3 days before arrival)

$75/night pet fee (max 2 dogs under 40 lbs)

No Smoking Indoors: Evidence of smoking will result in cleaning fees for odor removal, duct cleaning, and upholstery treatment.

No Parties or Events: This is a peaceful, family-friendly retreat. Please treat it with care and respect our quiet hours from 10 PM–8 AM to maintain a great experience for everyone in the community.

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected events like weather or power outages, which are outside our control.

Refunds (when applicable) are processed minus a $250 credit card processing fee.

📝 What to Know Before You Go:
We want your stay at The Double Down Lodge to be effortless and relaxing — here are a few helpful details so you can plan with confidence:

🛏️ Loft Bedroom: Our 5th sleeping area is a spacious open-air loft with a King bed, two nightstands with lamps, and a luggage rack. It’s perfect for teens, couples, or anyone who enjoys a bit of mountain charm (note: this area does not have a door).

🌳 Wooded Views Year-Round: Surrounded by trees, our views are beautifully wooded in spring/summer. In the winter, you’ll catch peekaboo mountain views through the bare branches!

🔥 Firewood Not Provided: Feel free to enjoy the firepit, but please bring your own firewood.

On back-to-back booking days, we’re unable to offer early check-in or late check-out so our cleaners can work their magic in this large cabin. If there's flexibility, we’ll let you know — we always try to accommodate when we can!

🚗 Mountain Access Note: The cabin sits on a gentle mountain road with a few narrow turns. While any vehicle can access it, we recommend 4WD or snow chains during winter months if snow or ice is in the forecast.

🏞️ Private but Not Isolated: The cabin sits on its own private 2-acre lot surrounded by forest. While a few homes are nearby, you’ll enjoy a sense of peace, space, and privacy.

🎥 Security Cameras: For everyone’s safety, we have exterior security cameras monitoring entrances and the driveway only — no interior surveillance.

🐛 Mountain Critters: This is the Smokies! Despite regular pest control, bugs and other small critters can sneak in if doors are left open. If anything makes you uncomfortable, let us know — we’ll send someone out promptly.
