A couple of good restaurants not too far away. The owner wanted us to pay upon arrival, claiming not to have received booking confirmation (this has happened often to us in Azerbaijan), but he accepted the proof of having already paid and confirmed reception of payment the next day.'

'Very good option near Gabala, if you have a car. Nice room, bed, shower, inner pool and sauna for free. Only downside was the staff member who welcomed us, as he tried to charge us extra for the room we had booked. But the rest of the staff was excellent.'
'I usually have a good tolerance for hotel rooms, but this one fell short of expectations. The bed mattress was absolutely terrible and you could feel every single spring on it. The sheets were stained with blood, and the water flow in the shower wasn't great.
There's a good view of the city from the hotel location, but keep in mind that it's a 10-15 minute walk to the main road and half of it isn't lit if you're walking after dark. '
