De Hummingbird Retreat is het ideale uitje voor familie en vrienden, de outdoor-liefhebber, of gewoon een handig basiskamp voor lokale en naburige toeristische attracties. Gelegen in het centrum van het 2.800 hectare grote Point Beach State Forest, zult u genieten van kilometerslange fiets- en wandelpaden. Dit betaalbare toevluchtsoord met drie slaapkamers is ontworpen voor rust en ontspanning en is een prachtige locatie om met de natuur te communiceren.

De Hummingbird Retreat heeft een compacte voetafdruk van 1.200 m² en beschikt over een ruime, moderne keuken, een groot bad en wasfaciliteiten en een comfortabele, intieme woonkamer. De grote master suite beschikt over een queensize bed en een gezellige open haard, terwijl de twee gastenkamers volledige bedden hebben. Een dubbele rol weg is ook beschikbaar.

Of u nu geniet van een snotaap of vers gevangen witvis van de Susie Q-vismarkt in Two Rivers, onze privépatio is perfect voor het grillen en onderhoudend. De gescreende Lanai is een geweldige ontmoetingsplaats om te dineren, spelletjes te spelen of een rustgevende plek om te slapen.

Het Hummingbird Retreat ligt op slechts 45 minuten van Lambeau Field van Green Bay, de golfbaan Whistling Straits in Kohler of het leuke Door County. Het is een ideale plek om 's nachts te starten voor Packer Games, of een dagtocht naar enkele van de beste winkels, restaurants en vele van Door County wijnhuizen.

De nabijgelegen kustlijn van Point Beach State Forest heeft een van de laatste, onbewoonde zandstranden van Lake Michigan en de Hummingbird Retreat en ligt op slechts 1,5 km wandelen naar de historische Rawleys Point-vuurtoren van het meer. Als u een wandelaar of fietser bent, begint de Rawleys Point Bicycle Trail bijna bij onze deur en verbindt met de Mariners Trail - opening meer dan 14 mijl van prachtig bos en ongerepte Lake Michigan landschap.

We live this spot

We love staying at this property! We love being able to relax at the end of the day of adventures in the backyard. Inside has enough space for our group to relax if the weather is bad. The host is responsive to questions and issues.

We really liked the house. Kevin was very nice. He greeted us when we arrived but made sure we were given plenty of privacy. The sauna and hot tub work great! The house was clean and everything was in working order. Plenty of hiking and biking directly from the house. Point Beach State Forest is very close. Quick drive or decent hiking to the beach. Two Rivers and Manitowoc are a short drive for shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at the house. Very relaxing and great fun.

Magical Relaxation at Hummingbird Retreat!

The Hummingbird Retreat was everything it promised and more! The moment we stepped onto the property all of our cares melted away. We fully enjoyed every moment of chilling in the beautiful kitchen/dining/living area. And topped off every evening in the sauna and hot tub. Fantastic Getaway Near Door County

This rental was a wonderful place for a retreat with family. We enjoyed everything including the interior and the beautiful backyard, not to mention a screened separate building that allowed us to enjoy eating, playing games, and even doing crafts with our grandchildren. Kevin, the owner, is a very gracious host. He took care of our needs and he provided an oasis type of backyard for relaxation. The home and yard are exactly as seen in the photos. And…as past VRBO renters…this was the first home we had rented that was incredibly stocked with coffee bar coffees, kitchen items, and other necessities for the bathroom. We highly recommend this VRBO rental!

You should stay here! Absolutely incredible home!

This house is one of the most amazing places I have stayed in since I started using VRBO. It is very clear that an artist designed, built/renovated, and decorated this home. My parents normally stay at a hotel when they make their annual trek to Wisconsin but I convinced them to try renting a house this year. When my Dad walked in, his jaw dropped. He kept walking around, saying, “This house is incredible” over and over again. The kitchen is more than well equipped and a joy to cook in. The living space has comfortable places to settle in for TV watching, reading, or chatting. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious which gave my parents plenty of space to spread out (they do not travel light). My son and I were tucked into the smallest bedroom. It was a little cramped but that is to be expected when you are sleeping in a full size bed with your 11 year old son. 😂 Again, it is the design and decor of this home that make it such a joy to stay in. The deck space has a calming water fountain, comfortable chaise lounges, and a great grill. The outdoor, screened in porch (I feel like porch is not the right word because this space is big) was the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner appetizers, play games, or nap in the hammock. There is also a fire pit with kindling and wood provided. We enjoyed making s’mores and singing along with my dad and his ukulele. The outdoor shows was one of my favorite touches. Showering a night while looking up at the pines and stars was magic. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and live right next door should you ever need anything. The house is perfectly located near Point Beach State Forest and is also close to town. I could not recommend this property more!

Great trip!

The pictures don't do this property justice. The house is absolutely beautiful and the decorations are so unique. My kids loved the outside shower. It was so relaxing to sit outside and just bird watch. The location is ideal, my husband took daily hikes on the trails in the woods. We enjoyed the beach every day. Kevin and Karen gave us great recommendations for dinner and ice-cream and multiple locations to beach entrances. They are so personable and were very welcoming. We hope to visit again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

Gorgeous getaway

Do yourself a favor and stay here! The property has two main buildings - the owner's house on the left and this guesthouse on the right. Behind the guesthouse is a hot tub and 3 season building with an enormous table perfect for board games and two hammocks. The property is well landscaped with flowers, trees and fountains. Bird feeders throughout ensure good birdwatching while you're here. Access to the beach and the state park are across the road. It is approximately a 10 minute walk on a crushed gravel road to get to the soft white sand beach which is very isolated. We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back. The rental house is very clean and cute, with a stocked kitchen. There is a firepit out back and the owner was very generous with firewood. The hot tub jets were not working when we were there, but it was still hot and nice to relax in given it was pretty chilly during our stay. The owner did say he was waiting on parts to get this fixed, so I expect it to be in working order soon.

Last hurrah of summer trip

We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hummingbird Retreat & Chickadee cottage. The cottage was thoughtfully decorated with many artistic touches, was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The natural setting was idyllic. There was abundant wildlife. We loved being so close to Point Beach State Forest and to Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers. Wished we could have stayed longer, but hope to make a return trip.
