'Beautiful property but the whole building is uneven, floors have big dips in them, the stairs are on a slant and so is the landing so quite dangerous for anyone with balance problems. No washing machine either!'

'The hotel is easily reached by bus from either Derby or Nottingham. However, if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing in the area, it's probably best to have your own car. In spite of its proximity to M1, the hotel is set in a quiet and pleasant location. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful: one of them was on the same bus as us when we arrived, and kindly walked us from the bus stop to the hotel. 'Room was clean, but property needs maintenance - peeling paint on room sash window, hook on bathroom door broken off and missing. Otherwise very comfortable, Continental Breakfast good and staff lovely.'

'We hebben verschillende hotels geprobeerd maar komen toch steeds hier weer terug. Het hotel ligt voor ons zeer centraal en makkelijk langs de M1, de service en vriendelijkheid is optimaal, het ontbijt geweldig en mocht er toch iets niet goed zijn wordt het meteen verholpen.'

'Good hotel, good location, although all the outside restaurants are a 15 minute walk away. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, which was good. Parking is in a public parking place 5 minutes away; hotel guests pay half the normal price: 8 GBP a day. Nice and helpful staff. Room was not very large but OK although the airco caused an unpleasant draught and had to be switched off when I was in the room. My main gripe is the wifi connection in the room which runs (if it runs at all) at 0.16...
