Beautiful characterful bedroom with a stunning bathroom [The Pink Room], and a lovely meal in the restaurant. To top it off a fantastic breakfast too.

Perfect room ~ missed opportunity
The Bower House Restaurant and Rooms is in an ideal position on the Main Street of Shipston on Stour. Our room was large, comfortable and decorated with style. The en-suite was equally large with a perfect walk in shower and separate bath. An amazing place to stay ~ it would have been better if there were someone there to meet us and ~ had I realised that the restaurant was closed from Sunday evening until Wednesday morning. Disappointingly, this was the length of our visit and so we only sampled the food at breakfast as we were leaving. Luckily, the high street had other places we could eat in. We regret not having the opportunity to enjoy the restaurant’s evening offerings.

Fantastic experience in the Cotswolds
This place was amazing! One of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in! Kids had their own separate room with bunk beds which they loved. The main bedroom was stunning with a fabulous bed and facilities. The bathroom had a massive bath which filled in minutes. The separate shower room was fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Really lovely hotel. Perfect decor, huge bathroom - felt like a treat! Nice touches of fruit and biscuits on arrival, and still and sparkling water. Very polite staff. It’s quite noisy outside as the hotel sits in front of a small parking area and strip of shops, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Floors are quite creaky but that sort of adds to the ambiance if you don’t mind it. Doors are a little hard to lock and are quite heavy. We were in a room next to the staff cleaning cupboard (I think) so from quite early could hear them coming in and out of it. Food very nice in the restaurant downstairs. Overall, a lovely place to stay and will definitely return.

Excellent. Out of hours checkin was simple safe and straightforward. Room and bathroom fantastic. (Size, decor and overall quality). Breakfast following morning was very good with great service.

Best hotel in the Cotswolds
This is an amazing little hotel that is very deserving of a 5-star rating. They truly understand how to give a 5-star experience to their patrons. My wife and I stayed there for one night on our way from Scotland to London to fly home after a 2 week vacation in Scotland. Wow! What a way to end a vacation! The rooms are very nicely appointed and comfortable, the food and service in the restaurant is spot on, and the entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special. We had to leave for the airport in the morning before their restaurant opened but the chef offered to come in early to fix breakfast for us. We were very touched. Need I say more? I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We stayed in the Blue Room which was huge (as was the bathroom!). We couldn't fault anything, it was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely go back again and would definitely recommend it

Warm welcome from Paul. Accommodated an earlier check in for us. Beautiful room. Very spacious. Gorgeous smelling toiletries, stunningly decorated & fully stocked drinks tray & fridge. Can’t fault it. Only very minor comment-no cooked breakfast as it is Monday & they don’t open the restaurant Mon/Tues but I’m sure the continental breakfast will be a delightful as the rest of the stay here!

Loved this place, a hidden gem!
Fabulous find. We were in the Cosy Room and expected it to be small, but we were pleasantly surprised at how large it was. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Everything was of a very high standard. The restaurant is fabulous, the food is amazing and the staff are all lovely. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 4, which was beautiful, superking bed, very comy, lovely clean bathroom with walk-in shower and a stand alone bath. We had an evening meal, which was absolutely delious and breakfast was just as delious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definately stay again and would recommend to other people.
