'no staff to acknowledge my arrival, staff that was there did turn 'till I found the doorbell and rang it then said he didn't work this desk but did call someone to get me booked in. Room: carpet looked new/freshly cleaned, bed was very good. While washroom was dated the condition for the tub was appalling by NOT being clean! Walls had splatters of God only knows what. Check out: had to ring bell, and waited again until someone come in from being outside. Slow to get service but staff efficient...

'Vahid and No. 5 east are just a sheer delight! The house is lovely, breakfast was great, and Vahid is so welcoming and cheerful. Only minor complaint is that, in the winter, if you aren't in a car, the nearest restaurants and shops are a bit of a walk, especially if it's winter.'

'We normally stay at the older Sandman, but decided to splurge and try the Sandman Signature for three nights for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to the price. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. When we mentioned our concerns at checkout, they said they would pass them along to the manager, which we appreciated. However, the bathroom design is very poor. If you’re staying here, I would strongly recommend...

'Our plane was delayed and we didn’t arrive in Winnipeg until 3AM a quick call to the front desk and a very nice friendly driver showed up in 10 minutes in a warm shuttle. He dropped us off at the hotel. The front desk clerk was equally as friendly. We were in our room before 3:30 We could not ask for any better service '
