The rooms at lyf Bugis are clean, well-maintained, and exactly what you need for a comfortable stay. Everything feels fresh and functional, without unnecessary extras — just right.
The staff experience can be divided into three categories:
First, the housekeeping team. They are truly excellent — very friendly, respectful, and consistent in keeping the rooms clean and tidy. Their positive attitude really stands out.
Second, the bar staff. They are exceptional. Always welcoming, helpful, and proactive. They think along with you, create a relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
Third, the front desk staff. They are also friendly and professional, but at times a bit too strict in their approach.
For example, I stayed for 14 days. Upon arrival at 6:00 AM, I had to wait until the afternoon to access my room, even though I had already indicated my early arrival in the app. After a long journey, that was disappointing.
At departure, my flight was at midnight, but I was required to check out at 12:00 PM. I was told quite firmly that I needed to book an extra night (at 168 USD) to stay longer. I ended up doing this, but it didn’t feel right. After a long stay and the amount I spent during my visit, it would have felt much more customer-friendly to offer a few extra hours as a gesture.
Overall, a good stay — but with room for improvement when it comes to flexibility and customer experience at the front desk.
