Gedateerd hotel met vriendelijke personeel
Dit hotel is goed gelegen aan de boulevard van Sliema en vlak bij de ferry naar Valletta. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en service gericht. Helaas is het hotel zelf toe aan een renovatie, de kamers zijn gedateerd v.w.b. inrichting en vertonen nogal wat slijtage (bv. vlekken in tapijt, krassen in het bad e.d.). Het bed was comfortable en schoon dus verder prima geslapen. Ik had een kamer met balkon en geweldig zicht op de baai. Fantastisch uitzicht maar de drukke weg waaraan het hotel ligt kan je nachtrust verstoren als je dit niet gewend bent (heb er zelf geen last van gehad). Kortom, als je een plek zoekt om te slapen en verder niet veel aanwezig denkt te zijn dan is dit een prima optie als je een goede prijs per nacht kan krijgen.

We had a great stay at Sliema Hotel. Staff is simply wonderfull. The service they give is 200% ok. Nothing is too much for them to make your stay wonderfull. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Voldeed grotendeels aan verwachtingen .....
Superior kamer geboekt. Jammer genoeg hebben ze ons een 'familiekamer' gegeven. Met een deur in onze kamer konden we bij de buren tot een stuk in de nacht de brexitperikelen volgen alsook het afzettingsproces tegen Trump. Deze kamer verdiend geen 'superior' benaming. Schitterende ligging en zicht. Heel snel internet. Ontbijt voldoende. Vriendelijk personeel.

Excellent value for money!
Spacious room, nice shower, neat and clean, good WiFi, basic breakfast included, located in the midst of bars, restaurants and shops, but what makes Sliema Hotel truly stand out is the excellent, EXCELLENT service by George and his friendly staff. All in all, great value for money and a safe bet!! We would stay here again.

Mooie ligging aan de boulevard. De kamers zijn wat oud, daarom lijken kitranden en het bad niet schoon. Maar dat is dus niet "schoon" te krijgen. Personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en een kleine klacht over een piepende deur werd meteen verholpen. Ontbijtbuffet is prima.

Very clean room it bathroom is somewhat dated! Good service at the reception desk especially helpful when our transfer to the airport did not arrive and new arrangements were made! The room was sparsely furnished!

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was near the ferry and bus stops with a supermarket nearby. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. A bath was requested and was provided in the room which was very nice. Furthermore, our room first didn't had a refrigerator. The next day they installed a little refrigerator after asking the hotel staff for it. They also provided us with adapters for the power sockets which was very kind. However, we were disappointed in the room. It was very old-fashioned which was totally not our style. In addition, there were no decent mattress covers on the bed, only blankets lying over the mattress and tucked in onder the mattress to secure it. If you move a lot during your sleep the cover blankets will get loose which has resulted that my partner woke up every morning on a mattress without any covers on it. The blankets which we had to sleep under was the same as the blankets that were used to cover the mattress, which were very thin. Furthermore, it was very noisy in the morning since the doors of the hotel rooms only closed by slamming the door. Unfortunately we did not sleep well the entire week.

Het hotel had een prima prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Je bent snel in Sliema en snel per ferry naar Valetta. Personeel zeer vriendelijk!

Locatie hotel perfect. 200 meter lopen naar de veerpont naar Valetta. Alle boten die rondvaarten verzorgen door havens, naar Malta zuid of naar Gozo / Comino liggen voor de deur. Voldoende winkels, en restaurants bij boulevard van hotel. Zeer grote, luxe "The Point Shopping Mall" op loopafstand in de wijk Sliema. Wij zaten op 6 hoog, kamer met balkon. Prachtig panoramauitzicht (op het zuiden) op boulevard, haven en Valetta. Mooie zonsopgangen gezien. Kamer 603, zeer grote kamer, 13 meter lang. Eenvoudig minimaal maar voldoende ingericht. Niet in nieuw staat maar schoon en voldoende. Draadloos internet in kamer aanwezig, nabij de toegangsdeur het beste ontvangst. Ontbijt eenvoudig. Wij aten vooral het stevige warme engelse ontbijt met witte bonen in tomatensaus enz. Het gewone broodjes / bolletjes enz vonden wij minder aantrekkelijk, had niet veel smaak.

Booked for 3 nights. At check in hotel allocated me in a family room with 4 single beds instead of double one with see view as per booking and they offer a free dinner buffet in another hotel of the same company. Ok overall. The first night power trip happened when I was drying my long hair and I did wait 30min all wet for maintenance come and on the power, caused by hairdryer fuse. They promised to fix the issue by the next day but when tired came back to hotel next night the problem was still there and I waited another hour for a friendly maintenance guy to come and finally switch fuse and fix the hairdryer. Breakfast was nice at restaurant ground floor. At the end of you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in Sliema and just sleep at night will be ok. Outside the hotel bars, cafes and nightlife. Opposite ferries and boat for tours. Enjoy

Loved the sea view over to valetta from balcony, lovely staff, room & breakfast options were perfectly adequate, lots of shops, restaurants close by, ferry service to valetta & other tour boats close by. Smart tv in room so you can log in to netflix etc. Disliked the thumping bass of music until well-gone midnight & noisy street traffic, so as a result, we did not sleep well. Pillows were lumpy, we asked for extras but none were forthcoming. Had a couple of powercuts and loss of wifi. Lift is a bit bumpy and stairs were very narrow. Corridor doors were slim and heavy and slammed shut whenever used, which also woke us up several times. The pool is shared with 2 other hotels and is a 10 min walk away on the sea front. You will need to get a receipt for each person for free use of the pool, from hotel reception before you go. Pool opens at 10am and pool towels are provided free.

Actually its too noisy. U can literally hear everything from the other rooms. When you close the doors its makes a lot of sound. I always woke up in the morning when someone enter or left their room. That is super annoying. The bathroom was not so clean and also not in a good condition. Other things are okay.

Great views. Fab location. Right near main bus stop to access rest of islands and ferries. Wonderful view of Valetta day and night. More basic than other ST hotels…Bay View has spa and rooftop pool, however same great breakfast. This area is noisier and older guests who want to sleep should request any floor above first floor as attached bar plays thumping music until 2 am on a good night and 4. Am on a bad night! Hotel assisted and moved me to second floor which was certainly quieter so much appreciated as all ST hotels fully booked….even in winter. Of note Malta is in full splendour ready to welcome all ,guests and reveal its varied heritage of which it is so proud but also emerging as a characterful charming warm destination. On Monday I might have given a different review but I am entirely happy to recommend this hotel….perhaps just not the first floor.

This hotel seriously needs to sort all doors in the vicinity of the lift to the rooms as the noise is unreal when a resident uses as everything echoes due to the solid flooring with no carpet to mask the noise. Apart from that a great place to lay your head for a couple of nights.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Neda had great recommendations of where to go and things to do and made me feel so welcome. Breakfast was ok, continental style. Room was clean, comfy, and service staff were lovely. My only criticism is the bar/restaurant out front. It is offensively noisy- although I didn’t hear a thing in my room. WiFi was rubbish on 5th floor, ok in reception.

Blick hinter dem Vorhang
Das Hotel wirbt mit einem Bild mit Poolblick, welches allerdings hinwegtäuscht, dass die Zimmer selbst in einem sehr abgerockten Zustand sind. Vor allem das Bad war schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und Reparaturen dringend notwenig. Auch sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig! Den beworbenen schönen Pool gibt es zwar auch, allerdings 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und dieser gehört nicht zum Hotel (man erhält einen Voucher, um dort Eintritt zu erhalten). Das Frühstück war wie in einer Bahnhofshalle und die Auswahl war entsprechend dem Hotelzustand. Aber auch positives gibt es zu erwähnen, das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, das beste zu machen. Die Lage ist grundsätzlich gut. Der Preis von €35 pro Nacht war für die Leistung für westliche Verhältnisse jedenfalls angemessen, ich hätte aber zu diesem Preis in der Nebensaison auch in einem IHS Hotel nächtigen können. Nach einer Nacht war es das also für mich.

this was the first time I went on a trip alone and I felt very safe. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I can strongly recommend this hotel. It is also relatively cheap and it is centrally located in shopping streets. A special thanks to Neda who helped me a lot.

Diese Unterkunft haben wir nach einer Nacht verlassen und uns ein anderes Hotel gebucht. Das Zimmer sollte das beste im Haus gewesen sein dann möchte ich nicht wissen wie die anderen waren. Dieses Zimmer war nicht sauber. Gardinen gingen auf halbacht. Bett war unbequem keine richtige Decke vorhanden. Fußboden war kaputt der Kühlschrank rostete und im Bad na da wollte man nicht ohne Schuhe laufen. Im gesamten Haus war es laut der Fahrstuhl knallte von früh bis Abend und das Frühstück naja hatte ein Jugendherberge Charakter alles komplett verwohnt und Renovierungbedürftig . Nie wieder schade um unser Geld. Das Personal war aber nett und freundlich

El hotel por fuera se ve muy bien pero al momento de ella entrar en la habitación uno se da cuenta de que es un hotel viejo las habitaciones son viejas, el elevador en ocasiones falla. Lo peor de todo es lo que me pasó a mí, después de la primera noche amanecí con piquetes de pulgas en varias partes de mi cuerpo, a lo que pedí en recepción que por favor limpiaran e hicieran cambio de sábanas y cobijas. Más tarde cuando regresé a la habitación no estoy completamente seguro pero creo que no hicieron cambio de sábanas ni de cobijas únicamente acomodaron la habitación. La segunda noche tuve que bajar a recepción para que por favor ahora sí nos cambiarán de habitación puesto que en el lapso que estuve de la tarde noche en la habitación volvía a tener piquetes de pulgas al momento de estar en la cama. Hasta eso apoyaron en darme una habitación nueva para esa noche pero al final el daño ya estaba hecho.

Very well located and comfortable hotel
The hotel staff was courteous, the location is perfect, next to the ferry that takes us to Valetta in 5 minutes, buses to and from everyone one block away. Room didn’t face the street, so it was quiet. Breakfast was also good, overall a stay I recommend!

Eine sehr gute Lage und schnell zu erreichen. Mit dem Bus kommt man schnell überall hin. Valetta ist mit der Fähre (sehr günstig) in kürzester Zeit zu erreichen.
