'We were a large family group with ages 19-81. The space is wonderfully renovated to be cool, spacious and interesting. Gorgeous views and hikes. Lovely people to deal with. Just wonderful, I highly recommend this property. '

'Tammy’s place is just as lovely as the pictures with lots of little extras. A nice comfortable place to get away with family and friends. A few minutes drive to the beach and a great location to explore other areas like Carbonear and surrounding areas. I’d highly recommend it. '

'Comfy and close to everything. We spent two nights here and enjoyed the barbecue and firepit. Our host was very helpful with suggestions for places to visit. '

'My friends and I were in the area for a wedding and decided to stay here. The views are amazing out of any window in the house and we spent quite a bit of time on the deck enjoying the view. Danielle the owner was a very friendly and fast at responding if we had any questions. Would very much recommend staying here.'

'A brand new salt box house: it's bright, airy, got loads on windows, and fabulous ceilings (yes, ceilings: I'm a bit of architecture nerd). Visitors should be aware that a salt box design requires a steep staircase, and, yes, the staircase is steep. It's also extremely well lit, girded with rails, and designed with good deep steps with raised edges. I felt safe on it, even when my arthritis meant I had to walk sideways down the steps with both hands on the rail. The house itself is lovely and...

'Every aspect of our stay was wonderful—communication with Chris and Kelly, ocean views from the deck, bedrooms, living room and dining room, ease of check-in and check out, fully equipped kitchen, availability of washer and dryer. 'This was an absolute gem! The porch overlooking the bay was a great place for our morning coffee's ( whale sighting included!) And the fire pit was a a lovely way to end our evenings. It is in a excellent location, with reasonable drives to St. Johns, the Irish Loop and Trinity. It was very clean and comfortable for 3 adults and 1 child, and easily could have comfortably fit 2 more people. I would highly reccomend staying here! '

'We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The home was clean and artfully decorated with everything you need. The community was friendly and the scenery from the porch and the living room was spectacular. We even spotted a whale in the Bay. Our host was so hospitable and easy to communicate with. Darlene met all our needs, from coolers and lawn chairs for our day trips. She (and the town)even helped us locate a lost camera. We had an excellent time at Vista Del Mare! '

'The location was excellent and we loved being on the ocean. We were fortunate to see many whales from the back deck. The home had everything you needed for an extended stay. Just bring clothes, food and refreshments!'

'We stayed at the Saltbox July 06-13 2025. Myself, husband, two boys and two grannies! Everyone enjoyed the space, whale watching, hiking and fishing with the locals. We will be back. '
