The Boathouse is perfectly located on the calm, turquoise waters of Harrington Sound, offering a peaceful setting with easy access to Bermuda’s top attractions. Just a 5-minute walk brings you to Flatts Village, a quaint waterfront community home to local restaurants, cafés, and the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo—perfect for a casual outing or family adventure. For a day at the beach, John Smith’s Bay, known for its pink sand and excellent swimming, is just a 15–20 minute walk away. Getting around the island is simple too—the bus stop is right outside the cottage, providing easy access to Hamilton, St. George’s, Crystal Caves, and other must-see spots. Whether you’re looking to explore or unwind, the Boathouse puts you in the perfect location to experience the best of Bermuda.

The Space
This large, two-story cottage is ideal for families or small groups. The upstairs bedroom features two queen beds, comfortably sleeping up to 4 guests. A queen-sized sleeper sofa with a memory foam topper mattress in the downstairs living area provides additional sleeping space for 2 more guests. (Please note: An additional per-person charge per day applies for guests beyond 2.)

Upstairs Bedroom & Small Bathroom

Climb the spiral staircase to your private upper-level retreat, where you’ll find a spacious bedroom with two queen-size beds, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. The room is designed for both comfort and convenience, featuring a smart TV with Roku, generous drawer and closet space, and plenty of natural light.

A small private bathroom on this level includes a standing shower, toilet, and sink, offering an added layer of privacy during your stay.

Washer & Dryer Highlight: For your convenience, a washer and dryer are discreetly tucked into the upstairs bedroom—ideal for longer stays or for freshening up beach towels after a day on the water.

Downstairs Living, Kitchen & Dining

The main floor offers an open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area, thoughtfully designed for relaxing and entertaining.

Living Room:
The inviting living room features a large sectional sofa that converts to a queen-sized sleeper couch with a memory foam mattress, offering comfortable sleep for two additional guests. A smart TV with Roku is provided for streaming your favorite shows, and ample windows allow for natural sunlight and scenic views throughout the day. At night, cozy lighting sets the perfect mood for movie nights or winding down with a good book.

Storage is thoughtfully incorporated, with a set of drawers in the cupboard and additional shelf space available—convenient for guests using the sleeper sofa.

Dining Area:
A beautiful glass dining table with seating for six makes mealtimes easy and comfortable. The space also works well as a laptop-friendly workspace if needed.

Kitchen:
The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals at home, including:

Dock & Beach Area

Head down to the shared dock and beach area for a true island experience. Swim in the Sound (we recommend water shoes), sunbathe on the dock, or launch into the water with the two single kayaks and stand-up paddleboards available for guest use. These are shared between Boathouse, the neighboring cottage (Shipshape), and the owners.

Looking for more privacy? Book both cottages for exclusive use of the waterfront.

Please return all kayaks, oars, and paddleboards to the beach—not the dock—when done. High winds can quickly sweep them away.

Guest Access & Arrival

Before arrival, we’ll send full check-in instructions, including how to access the key for smooth entry. The Boathouse is yours to enjoy throughout your stay, and your private patio is marked and fenced, offering a peaceful space all your own.

Things to Note

Second Cottage Available:
Traveling with friends or family? The Boathouse shares the property with Shipshape, a charming second cottage. Both can be rented together for larger groups looking to enjoy a shared waterfront space. Reach out for more details.

No Large Parties:
To maintain a tranquil atmosphere for all guests, large parties are not permitted.

Waste Disposal:
• Trash is collected on Thursdays
• Recycling is collected on Fridays
Please move bins to the top of the driveway on collection days. Blue bags for recycling are provided.

Energy Conservation:
Before heading out, please turn off lights and set the A/C to 22–23°C on the dehumidifier cycle (the teardrop setting). This helps us keep rates affordable and reduce our environmental impact.

Security Reminder:
Please lock all doors and windows when leaving the property.

Feeding the Fish:
You’re welcome to toss safe leftover food to the fish from the dock—just avoid anything you wouldn’t eat yourself.

Tropical Tips:
• Do not leave food out on counters.
• Avoid eating in the bedroom to help us maintain a critter-free space.
