Afzondering in de verloren dennen

Heb je ooit hoge dennen horen fluisteren? Dit is de plek. Afgelegen rustieke hut op 300 hectare eigen dennenbos. Geniet van wandelen, mountainbiken en uitzicht vanaf het grote dek. Cabin's decor is gebaseerd op de lokale legende en Broadway-hit, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, vol met het bed van de mevrouw. Volledig ingerichte keuken met koffiezetapparaat, mixer, magnetron en vaatwasser. BBQ op de openluchthoutskoolgrill. 2 mijl uit de snelweg. Perfect voor koppels, solo-avonturiers, gezinnen en harige vrienden.

Onze hut staat op onroerend goed dat al sinds het begin van de 19e eeuw in onze familie is en gasten worden aangemoedigd om te wandelen, fietsen (fiets meenemen) en op hun gemak te genieten van de rust van de omgeving. U wordt aangemoedigd om een mobiele telefoon mee te nemen omdat er geen telefoon aanwezig is. U zult de constructie van onze hut comfortabel, aantrekkelijk en interessant vinden. Onlangs gerenoveerd vanaf januari 2019 met bijgewerkte apparaten en vinylvloeren overal. De binnenmuren van de cabine zijn van cederhout en de zichtbare spanten voegen een extra charme toe. De voor- en achterdeuren staan meestal open om te genieten van de zachte bries die door de cabine blaast.

This is a place to really feel away from it all. It has been a long time since I heard the wind whistling through the pines. Even though it was hot outside - I could not stop from being on the back porch for hours, mostly in the hammock. The theme of the cabin is fun and absolutely feels and is rustic. And that is what was looking for…and got. The communication was great and was very friendly on top of that. You could tell you were going somewhere unique while driving back the unpaved farm road and it was that and more. Had everything you need to unwind and relax. This was a three day stay after a day of work but I will be coming back out just to stay there for sure. Highly recommend!!!!

Piney Woods Weekend

The cabin at Lost Pines is absolutely perfect. Very quaint while still having all the amenities you need. We had five people for the weekend and it was very comfortable. I am absolutely looking to stay here again! We stayed in the cabin while attending Sherwood, so I would love to return and spend the weekend just exploring the property. The owners were very sweet and responsive. Highly recommend!

Annual getaway after Christmas

This was the perfect place for our getaway. The property was fantastic. The cabin was wonderful full of interesting history about the Chicken Ranch and everything we needed to cook and relax. Jan was wonderful and always responsive. The best part for us was being able to let our dogs off leash to run and hike the numerous trails. We will definitely return

Peaceful Retreat Among the Pine Trees

I loved the feel of the cabin on this private property tucked among the pine trees. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, this is the place. Very close to the state park for hiking and the little town is cute too. The cabin was a little buggy, not too bad, but expected since it's in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed a peaceful solo get away here.

Another great stay in the woods

Our favorite place to relax and unwind free from the road noise, and noisy neighbors. This was our third visit and already planning for next year. This cabin is as advertised, quaint, rustic but with the best back porch in Texas. Great for morning coffee or evening drinks and with a view what else could you ask for.

Refreshing, Relaxing, Wonderful, Beautiful Enviroment!

It was the best place for me and my dogs to stay. Being on a 200 acre hidden cabin with 2 big dogs and no one around to bother us was wonderful. The dogs got to explore, hunt and chase critters! I also got to see the stars like I use to at night when I was a kid. I even slept so comfortable which I hadn't in such a long time. Plus, me and the dogs explored everywhere around us. San Marcos, New Braunfels, New Waverly, Cayon Lake, Guadalupe River, Austin, Lake Travis area, Outlet Mall. Yes, you will never regret your stay.

Found this cabin for my wife's birthday. It was exactly what she had been wanting. Beautiful cabin with a fun bit of history to see and experience. Comfortable beds, and sweet back porch with three ceiling fans. The property and the pond are awesome! Fun to hike and explore. We will definitely come back to visit this little ol calbin.

This was our second stay and we absolutely love it out here. So peaceful and well accommodated. The hosts are the best I've ever worked with for vacation rentals. The property is so neat to explore. We brought our e-bikes this time and it made for some great rides as well as an easy trip to Buescher next door to ride the road to Bastrop. A+ vacation!!

We arrived early like 5am..there are signs but we got lost for a moment..there are signs that say cabin but very hard to see in the dark..suggestion reflection paint It is a rough ride with dirt,clay and rock road for 1.5 mile in the property..the ride is more than worth it Our hosts were very kind. The cabin was well furnished The only thing (besides the reflective paint) are instructions on what to in case of Tornado warnings and watches and nickel to quarter sized hail and keeping your wind sheild in tact Would i stay there again. This cozy cabin in the woods was just what we were looking for. It was peaceful and quiet. We hiked in several State Parks. And even walked around the property. Buescher State Park is only a few mikes away. The sunsets on the back porch were amazing. The cabin had everything we needed. The reclining couches sure felt good after the miles we walked.

Shock and Awe!!

The cabin is well off the beaten path…and on top of a hill!!! The back porch view is a vista, not a view. It’s absolutely beautiful. The cabin is perfectly rustic with all the conveniences. The road to the cabin is bumpy and rocky. I drive a car so getting to the cabin was slow going but that was ok because of the views!! You just have to be careful. Overall, we could not have found a better getaway. Bed & breakfast’s can’t hold a candlestick to this property!
